There has been a few months now where I have been searching for a new face cream . I often find many body creams that are fantastic but my worrying struggle is always face creams which deliver hydration for my ever so dry patchy areas of the face and with winter being one of the coldest that I can remember in a long time, my skin is in dyer need of a solution. A few weeks a go , I was sent a new product from a brand which I have not yet had the pleasure of trying yet and also never heard of . Marlenha - Flourish Moisturiser Who are Marlenha? After having a closer look at the brand Marlenha, I can happily say that this brand is one I am impressed with. Not only do they use cruelty free products and make their products with non animal derived ingredients. The inspiration came from the beauty of the delicate Rose and are hand made in Verona, Italy , the city of love. They use natures finest botanicals and because they are all made in small bathes , their products are the freshest they can be delivering you top quality products to cherish your skin's natural beauty . I love nothing more than being assured that there are no nasty ingredients in my skin care products, no parabens , sulfates etc. My skin changes as the seasons change and so I have oily skin in summer and very dry skin in the winter. This Moisturiser insists it is suitable for all skin types but it is aimed mainly towards those with dry and dehydrated skin. What do they say about their product? This beautifully rich, multi-action cream delivers intense moisture as it targets fine lines and wrinkles. Collagen pearls and a deeply hydrating blend of ingredients restore the skin’s natural plumpness while extra-virgin olive oil softens skin and prevents free radical damage. The result is a radiant, youthful-looking complexion. I am a huge fan of the packaging, simple, elegant and clean, exactly what I want in a product and adding the silver lid to the frosted glass bottle , it gives that luxury feel. How to use - Apply a small amount to the face, neck and décolletage after cleansing. Gently massage into the skin to aid absorption. I love that you receive a little booklet explaining the product for you in more detail , it also tells you how to apply it with a cute pictorial drawing although I do add a small dollop to my nose area also which is not listed on there. My thoughts on this product - I love the packaging and size, looks great on my new vanity table I have to admit. Although I have only been using this for the past couple of weeks, I can already see a difference in my skin, the tone are evening out and my skin is looking more nourished and hydrated. I love that the consistency of the moisturiser feels rich yet the texture leaves no oily residue once quickly drying into the skin. I have been using this morning and night and love how it leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth, I find it a pleasure to apply to my skin as it is not pulling at all. Usually I can not abide rose scents, especially on the face and in facial products but this relaxed floral scent is delightful , its very faint yet also sensual . This moisturiser cream is very lightweight and I have found it to be a very good base for my makeup which is one of my other needs from a facial moisturiser .
My skin is slowly brightening up and with more use I am in no doubt after a couple more weeks this product will deliver me a more radianced looking skin and the instant rehydration means the areas on my cheeks which are consistently suffering with dry spouts is having a positive influence and is being left with a more balanced look. This product truly has impressed me and over the past few weeks I have seen a fantastic improvement on the look of the over all look of my skin and I would totally recommend this to all friends and although the price is a little steep, having to need only a small amount means it will last a little longer and it is always nice to treat your skin with a natural bio-skincare product. You can purchase this and their other products over at Marlenha.com for £62 .

The cold weather has been a nightmare for my skin , I received lip balms and creams and all sorts of protection products for my skin as gifts but nothing seems to be doing any good for my lips which have become drastically dry and tight and now over the past few weeks very sore indeed. Luckily for me, I recently found out that we were moving home which made me go on a made clean up session of my bedroom resulting in me finding all sorts of other goodies that had been put away for review or bought around the Christmas period and so you can clearly imagine my delight when I found these three beauties. Now it was not that long ago that I actually told you about the Original Dr Paw Paw and I remember being so impressed with it that I tweeted them telling them how fantastic it was making my skin feel that they then decided to send me the other two in their collection. Here are the ingredients- Original - PETROLATUM, ALOE BARBADENIS LEAF JUICE, OLEA EUROPEAEA (OLIVE) FRUIT OIL, CARICA PAPAYA (FERMENTED PAWPAW), POTASSIUM SORBATE. Peach- PETROLATUM, ALOE BARBADENIS LEAF JUICE, OLEA EUROPEAEA (OLIVE) FRUIT OIL, CARICA PAPAYA (FERMENTED PAWPAW), POTASSIUM SORBATE, CI 45410 (D&C RED 27) Red- PETROLATUM, ALOE BARBADENIS LEAF JUICE, OLEA EUROPEAEA (OLIVE) FRUIT OIL, CARICA PAPAYA (FERMENTED PAWPAW), POTASSIUM SORBATE, CI 16035 (F&DC RED 40) So the reason I am bringing these back into my blog is because I have found that they have become my whole new Holy Grail lip balm product . So if you read the previous blog , you may remember that these balms are a multipurpose balm used for
This multipurpose soothing balm is enriched with natural fermented PawPaw and comes in a 25ml squeezy tube for only £6.95. Dr Paw Paw is available from many stores including Harvey Nicols, Lloyds Phamacy and also DrPawPaw.com as well as many more . The balms come in three different variations -
For some strange reason the tubes are all different sizes although all contain the same amount of product which is strange but they do look lovely on the dresser . You can buy all three together as a set for the price of £13.90 here and if you know someone who loves their beauty products are just in fact in need of amazingly soft and smooth skin then this would be a lovely treat .
The original balm is great for all over the body but for me all of these products are perfect for the lips which is what I have been using them for lately , the tints are very faint but do exactly the same with a little bit of colouring . The texture is so thick especially the peach , in fact it is so thick that it is a struggle to get out of the tube sometimes if left in a cold area but I usually roll the tube in between my palms to warm it a little and loosen it a bit. These are my love of the month for sure and you only need a small amount to cover the lips which means they last a very long time . So what do you think, what's your thoughts on multi purpose balms ? It is February and to be honest I am sick to death of this cold and miserable weather, where is the sun? . My skin is struggling terribly, it is very dry and being very pale I look really ill with it. Something simply had to be done over the weekend, so I gave myself a pampering and decided to add a little colour onto my skin. The problem is, I actually hate the fact that tanning products seem to smell of that fake chemical and can sometimes make you look a little orange and in the cold winter months you can spot the fake tanners a mile of . Over the past year , I think the tanning mousse seem to have come a long way, I have found them so easy to apply and the formulas have become fantastic to the point that there is no yellow or orange tones in the tan giving you a natural look. Where to buy - Diamonds On Demand Cost - £16 Who are Diamonds On Demand? Diamonds on Demand are the Official Company Of Diamond Microdermabrasion & The Best Selling 2 Hour Tan! What they say about the product - Tan On Demand 2 Hour Tanning Mousse gives you a natural looking sexy tan in minutes. This salon inspired formula gives instant colour whilst developing over 8 hours but can be washed off after. 2 hours = Light 3 Hours = Medium 4 Hours = Dark So you choose the depth of tan.The colour guide technology ensures an easy streak free application every time meaning no more stained bed sheets or sleeping in your tan. It contains no parabens or alcohol and lasts for 5-7 days. Ingredients - My thoughts - My first impressions of the 2 hour tan is that it has a familiar bottle, the push nozzle which lets out a lovely frothy mousse. The mousse looks a lot lighter than other tanning mousse I have used before and also has a lovely Almond scent which stays on the skin afterwards , in fact I could still smell it the next day. The mousse is smooth to apply but I do feel I had a little texture issue with application. I was OK applying it at first but as I continued to apply the tanning mousse in a circular motion onto my previously cleansed and exfoliated skin, I found that the mixture started to form somewhat of a very thin cream like substance which made it a little harder to apply, I really can not describe it but it was not something I was used to with tanning mousse . I found that the product dried very quickly into the skin, I did not have to wait around for a few minutes before adding my clothing and carrying on with my normal routine. After only 2 hours I took a peak at the result of the developed shade and was pleasantly surprised (although having some difficulty with the texture during application) that the tan was left streak free and a lovely natural shade. To be honest I actually find the product quite pricey and being more expensive than my trusted self tanning mousse I would be unsure of wearing this in the summer due to the fact it did not go dark enough for my liking but for the winter months where I am looking for a lighter shade , one that has a more natural shade , this is perfect as it has no orange tone to it. I think this is a product that is more appealing to those of a paler skin tone, those who have paler skin would be more suited to this product because of its very light shade. What do you think of tanning mousse , is it your preferred application style ?
I have to admit , this is the first time I have tried this brand and to be honest was actually very interested in giving it a try. Crabtree & Evelyn were founded over 40 years ago from a small , family-run business specialising in fine soaps from around the world leading into today's society where it is now renowned and respected for its fantastic products which were natural with fruit, flower and plant essences. Today Crabtree & Evelyn own more than 500 stores nationwide . As you may already know , I am beginning to enjoy my lotions more and more and although I do keep reaching for my most loved tub , I am still searching for a nice little handy tub for out and about and to be honest something a little lighter in texture due to the weather now changing. Having memories of biting into those red blood oranges as a child , it was only lately I found the interesting fact that the orange also known as the Blood Orange was also known as Tarocco Orange . The Tarocco Orange , Eucalyptus and sage collection has a clean, invigorating and energising citrus scent with an uplifting blend of orange, bergamot, and neroli. What they say about this product - Drench your skin with our Tarocco Orange, Eucalyptus & Sage Skin Refreshing Body Lotion. A blend of energising citrus and green herbal fragrance and moisturising glycerine, this lightweight lotion is infused with Tarocco blood orange, bitter orange, eucalyptus and sage extracts to condition and freshen the skin. So it's left soft, scented and ready to face the day. Cost - £5 for 50ml or £16 for 250ml Where to buy - www.crabtree-evelyn.co.uk Ingredients - WATER, DIMETHICONE, TRISLOXANE, GLYCERYL STEARATE, GLYCERIN, LIMONENE, CITRUS AURANTIUM DULCIS FRUIT EXTRACT, CITRUS AURANTIUM AMARA FLOWER EXTRACT, CITRUS AURANTIUM AMARA LEAF/TWIG EXTRACT, EUCALYPTUS GLOBULUS LEAF EXTRACT, SALVIA OFFICINALIS LEAF EXTRACT, CUCUMIS SATIMUS FRUIT EXTRACT, SACCHAROMYCES FERMENT, CETEARETH-20 HYDROXYETHYL ACRYLATE/SODIUM ACRYLOYLDIMETHYL TAURATE COPOLYMER, FRAGRANCE, SQUALINE, CETEARETH-12, CETEARYL ALCOHOL, CETYL PALMITATE, XANTHAN GUM, POLYSORBATE 60, DISODIUM EDTA, CITRIC ACID, PROPANEDIOL, LINALOOL, CITRAL, ALPHA-ISOMETHYL IONONE, GERANIOL, PHENOXYETHANOL, METHYLISOTHIAZOLINONE, POTASSIUM SORBATE,SODIUM BENZOATE. My thoughts on this product - Although I am rarely a fan of Eucalyptus, I enjoy the scent from this product due to the fact it (in my opinion) is over taken with the aroma of a sweet yet zesty citrus note that is revitalising and refreshing . For me the scent stays a while on my skin but that is due to my own skin care routine, I have found that if you exfoliate regular , your lotions , creams and butters tend to stay on the skin for longer lengths of time , giving me more of the product. The body lotion in this small 50ml handy tube is easy to handle with a flip lid that secures easily for convenience. I love the clean yet attractive design that Crabtree & Evelyn have on all of their items , the prints are inspiring and captivating to my inner natural self and makes me want to buy them . The cream itself is lovely, medium to thick but soaks into the skin very well without leaving an oily feel to the skin afterwards. It does not take long for my thirsty skin to soak it all up and leave my skin amazingly soft, so soft that it actually feels like it has evened and smoothened out my skin immensely. I can actually see myself buying the bigger bottles when this is all ran out, especially as I can see this being amazing for the summer with it feeling very light on the skin with a colling and uplifting feeling being left once absorbed .
So what do you think about this brand and product, do you feel the need for a nice uplifting scent for the upcoming warmer weathers? Another Limited Edition special from the Christmas collection from LUSH that I have been enjoying at the end of January was this fantastic FUN golden putty. After having all of the stress from Christmas and feeling a little deflated in the January month , the time comes even when you are at the age of 30 +, when you simply need to get in the tub and have some play time and when those rubber duckies are not anywhere to be seen , well what could be better than having a mouldable and versatile play putty which can be used to clean and squish, roll and mould into any shape or design you feel in the mood for. The Putty is available throughout the year in other colours such as red, yellow, green , blue and pink (Gold is simply limited at Christmas time) and for the small price of only £5 per 200g roll. As with all LUSH products, each item has its own used by sticker naming the person who made the product and letting you know when is best to use it by , I always enjoy their personalised little cartoon character drawings. Here is what LUSH have to say about their product - ''Have some fun with this limited edition golden version of our multi-purpose playful wash, here especially for Christmas. Glimmering gold Fun can be a soap, shampoo, a bubble bath or moulded into shimmering shapes. With a toffee-sweet, comforting and cheerful fragrance it shares with Honey I Washed the Kids, bath time will never be boring again.'' Ingredients - Talc, Cornflour, Glycerine, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Lustre Radiant Gold, Sweet Wild Orange Oil, Bergamot Oil, *Limonene, *Linalool, Benzyl Benzoate, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Perfume. My thoughts on this FUN putty - I love that it comes in its biodegradable wrapping sheet and so very ecologically friendly . The thing I love most about it , is that this product can be used for multiple things such as bubble bath , shampoo, body wash or even just to enjoy a play with . For the small price of only £5 , you not only get natural ingredients with no harmful chemicals drying out your skin but instead making it amazingly the closest to nature you are going to get with a product, this also will go a very long way if you use a small piece at a time and wrap the remainder up for later. You only need a small amount , a little does go a long way when it comes to this product and you only need around 10p size (I used a large amount to show you the product clearer ). The putty is easily moulded, not hard and exactly how you would expect it to be. It encourages play even in us older ladies and gents at bath time and to me that is what I enjoy about the product every time I come to bringing my bath experience to life from a boring soak to a playful fun experience. Being a huge fan of Honey , I knew this would be something I would love and having that golden shimmer that makes me want it more like a magpie to a stunning piece of jewellery, I have to give it a thumbs up . Comforting sweet wild orange oil, uplifting bergamot, softening cornflour and plenty of gold lustre, Gold FUN is a feel good , fun filled product that anyone of any age can enjoy . The golden shimmer that covers the putt left a lovely golden tint shimmering on top of the bath water and although I found it gave a few bubbles from running it under the tap, I was a little disappointed that the bubbles disappeared almost instantly . That did not deter me from enjoying the product though as it lathered very well and the smell is not as sickly as I thought it would be . I have heard many people complaining about the golden lustre that covers the lush product like this but for me this was not a problem at all in any sense as it did not stick to my skin nor did it stick to the bath so I was rather pleased about that . I do not think they are as money saving as a soap bar but I do think this is more for a fun venture in the tub. So what do you think of the FUN putty from LUSH, will you be giving this a try or have you already?
