Every year Lush bring out their seasonal favourites and this year I was lucky enough to receive two of them from my sister , one of which is this amazing Golden wonder bath bomb. I know some of you may have already seen these but for me it was something totally new considering I have never actually used any product from this brand , although many of you tell me to give them a try. I know its ludicrous, like what beauty blogger has not bought tons of their products already? Well me! I will explain to you why that is. I absolutely love bath products, especially when it comes to gorgeous oils , soaps and bombs but when I decided to walk into the first store I had ever come close to last September , I simply got a headache from the multiple scents and I frankly could not bring myself to stay and buy something . To be honest it must have been an earthy day as everything I looked at or touched had wooden, musky, soilish and herbal scents to them. To me , this is not what I had expected and so I walked out empty handed and a little disappointed. I had seen so many people share their reviews on the products that I was hoping to see some amazing colourful and beautifully scented bath bombs especially and in honest truth I ran out without looking because the aroma of the place put me of. Fortunately for me though, my sister sent me this lovely surprise after she realised she wasnt a fan of bath bombs after all and of course I was not going to refuse. Not been an overly used spender of Bath bombs , I always suspect that bath bombs are small and round and this gorgeous golden present shaped surprise is the absolute opposite . It is big and square with a shimmering golden dust over it with a lovely white bow on the top. This gorgeous gift shaped bath bomb has a spectacular wonder of colours and scents and right as you shake it in your hands you can hear there is a little extra special surprise in the middle of that fizzing delight. I do not want to spoil the fun yet but I will tell you that It’s filled with sweet orange, lime, and cognac oils along with gardenia extract which enhances the senses and has you gasping with excitement. I originally brought this out last night because I had been struggling with an aching pain in my leg which was caused by poor circulation and this bath bomb was aimed to aid circulation . What Lush Say about their product - ''A pass the parcel gift – Each layer has something different to offer. This is not for a quick bath because it takes its time, this bath bomb. Its layers of golden lustre, dazzling colours and soluble gold stars are a wonder to behold.' I felt incredibly greedy last night and although this could have given me two baths of loveliness, I simply wanted to bath in all its glory and see it do its amazing magic in my tub as it was made to do so. So lets add this baby to the water and watch its progress! What surprises me the most is that this huge fizz bomb of fun actually only costs less than £4 and to me it is a little under priced for what you get although Ii am not complaining.
That really does say a lot coming from someone who hates spending lots of money. As soon as the bath bomb is placed into the water, it immediately releases the most amazing aroma of citrus orange . The bath begins to sparkle as the golden lustre releases from the solid block which then turns into a whirling bubble mass which then makes its way around the tub leaving a mermaid effect as the colours burst out of the centre . Sliding gently into the water, I find myself embellished in a thick feeling liquid that is silky and smooth on the skin. My skin feels amazing and the oils nourish my body instantly , I simply did not want to get out of the bath , I felt at ease and so relaxed . So I do not usually enjoy bath bombs , but wow is this baby now going to be making it to my every Christmas list from now on, what a treat, what a surprise and what an amazing experience it left me with . You can see more products on their Lush.co.uk online store Is it bad I want Christmas to come already so I can buy some more, what do you think ?

Aqua, Glycerin, Glyceryl Stearate Citrate, Mel( Active Manuka Honey ), Cetearyl Alcohol, Propylene Glycol, Sucrose Stearate, Panthenol ( Vit B5 ), Sweet Almond Oil, Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Phenoxyethanol, Glyceryl Stearate, Glycine Soja, PEG 100 Stearate, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride Passiflora Edulis Seed (Passionflower) Oil, Punica Granatum Seed (Pomegranate) Oil, Wheat Germ Oil, Xanthan Gum, Ethylhexyl Glycerin, Parfum, Tocopheryl Acetate( Vitamin E ), Salix Alba ( Willow Bark ) Extract, Citric Acid, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone, Limonene, Coumarin, Linalool. What I think about the product - Well after having yet another British cold winter , I simply have to admit that my hands are mostly affected at this time of year and they become so dry and my skin so tight and uncomfortable . Having a hand cream is one of the products I rarely remember to treat myself to , until it is too late that my hands become so sore that I do not feel like adding anything at all to them in worry that the product will do more damage than good. For me , owning a product that has a story behind the production and success of the brand is always something I love to read up on and finding out that this has a wonderful little tale regarding the Nurse who worked so hard in her job with sterilising and cleaning the patients and equipment that her hands became the victim making her aware that there was a product needed for those hard working fingertips . My skin is rather greedy, I have to admit that using milks or thin lotions barely do anything for me so I am in fact in need of medium or thick creams /butters to ensure moisture is received into the skin enough to be noticed and with that effective. This cream is a semi - thick cream which has a rather mild baby lotion scent that is mildly subtle and wears of after a couple of hours after application. I do not particular care for scented creams on my hands, I have a tendency to hold a bad habit of putting my fingers in my mouth a lot so this can be off putting with hand creams for me (I know it is a terrible habit , I simply am trying to be good and trying to get out of it ). The cream soaks into my skin very well only a few minutes and my hands are dry and feeling smooth with no greasy feeling left over . I only needed a small amount of this cream , smaller than pea size amount to get a lovely coverage on the skin which also made me realise this would last me quite some time and meaning it is worth the money payed for it . I can understand how the nurse who invented this product feels as I myself seem to have my hands in constant water or disinfectant with cleaning after my 7 little ones and 3 German Shepherds . This cream brings a lovely replenishing moisture back into my hands instantly with only one use . Not only is this lovely cream a great protection for the hands but it is also very handy for you to carry with you everywhere and also helping such a fantastic cause that I think you will agree is in need of helping . What do you think about this product, will you be treating your hands and helping Beat Breast Cancer?
On Saturday , I was invited to go to my dads 60th Birthday celebration and of course was not going to miss it . It is a rare occasion to go out for me , with 7 little ones , no one seems to want to help you out as much as when you have 1 or 2 so when you have the opportunity to get out , even if its for an hour or two , you simply grab the chance and get all excited even if it is only the local pub or club. I seemed to spend the whole day pampering , It had been a very long time since I had spent time tanning, painting nails , colouring hair and of course enjoying a face mask. I thought I would share with you my Chocolate face mask experience. Freeman Uk are a company who have been researching and providing us with botanical ingredients in products for 30 years . Freeman will take care of you from Foot to Face without the huge price tag and with their huge range of products from
Your body will feel revitalized and restored in minutes . I have been using their Feeling beautiful , Chocolate and Strawberry Clay face mask this weekend and I even took the pleasure of snapping some of those embarrassing pictures for you to see the true results as the application and results appeared but first lets take a little look at the product itself . Where to buy - Freeman Uk Website Cost - £1.50 - 15ml satchet (2 uses from this product ) Available soon will be the 150ml squeezy bottle tube for only 150ml for only £4.99. What they say about this product - Let’s take it to go!!! Perfect size to take to the gym, on airplanes or drop in your purse! This indulgent mask does more than tantalize your taste buds! Tone skin and diminish the appearance of large pores with oil-absorbing clays. Delight in delectable Chocolate and Strawberry while Shea and Cocoa Butter moisturise for smoother, softer skin. Perfect for normal to combination skin types. Directions: Apply mask to face and neck, avoiding contact with eyes. Let dry and rinse with warm water. Use two times a week or as often as needed. Ingredients - Key Ingredients: Shea Butter Cocoa Butter Kaolin Clay Ingredient List: Water/Aqua/Eau, Bentonite, Kaolin, Titanium Dioxide, Propylene Glycol , Fragaria Vesca (Strawberry) Fruit Extract, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter), Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Butter, Tocopherol, Glycerin, Magnesium Aluminum Silicate, Disodium EDTA, Sodium Polyacrylate, Methylchloroisothiazolinone, Methylisothiazolinone, Fragrance (Parfum), Yellow 5 (CI19140), Red 4 ( CI 14700), Red 33 (CI 17200), Blue 1 (42090), Iron Oxides (CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499). How to use - Apply mask to face and neck, avoiding contact with eyes. Let dry and rinse with warm water. Here is my face before I used the Face mask- Having cleaned my face , I began by evenly applying the thick clay to my face . The smell of chocolate instantly hits you and you get the slight tint of strawberry in the background . The Chocolate and Strawberry Mask is for attacking those deep pores which I have around my nose and chin area . For some reason chocolate masks always seem more appealing to me than the other boring types like cucumber and such but the combination of adding strawberry made me weak at the knees even more. Having used sachet face masks before I have come to realise that you can actually get more than one use out of them and they are definitely worth the money . I kept the mask on my face for approximately 15 minutes . As you can see in the image below the mask dried well , I could see the my pores more clearly and my fine lines appear more . The aroma of chocolate made me enjoy this product so much , it lingered around me and even when I removed it from my face, I could still smell chocolate. The texture of the product was so creamy clay like but at the same time a little mousse like which made it dreamy to smooth on the face and easier still to get an even application. Whilst the clay mask dried onto my skin, I could feel my skin getting tighter as the product slowely worked into the skin and although having a stiff face for a couple of minutes may sound uncomfortable to some, I actually felt like it was toning my face a little more so enjoyed the experience. Using a warm flannel to remove the mask once it had dried , I found my skin felt soft and clean but not overly squeaky clean which to me was perfect due to the fact that I can not strip my natural face oils or it leaves me with terrible irritated and dry , tight skin causing me problems for weeks later. It washed of very easily . The face mask nourished my skin and my skin looked somewhat brighter also. I did find it reduced my pores drastically and After a few more applications in the next few weeks I know that my face will look a lot more clearer . Can you see a difference ? That evening my makeup went on flawless, the best my makeup has ever been applied and lasted a lot longer than any other day. I would love to give the Avocado and oatmeal face mask a try and even some of the full size tubes as I can see me using these quite a lot after this experience. Below are some of my instagram images I took that evening. Have you gave these a try yet, will you, let me know your thoughts .
So this Christmas I was sent some lovely items , one of which was from my sister who knows I simply love body care and when we were little our mum used to take us to the Body shop on many occasions due to her own love of their products so we soon followed suit. After using this after a nice bath and feeling nice and clean , my skin instantly feels very nourished and hydrated which has left my skin feeling very soft and subtle with smooth texture and no signs of an oily feel afterwards. I love the scent and how it settles on the skin and stays for a few hours . When I think of body butters , this is exactly what I would expect and Body Shop always have the perfect texture and thickness for me . I want to collect them all. How to use - Drizzle generously under warm running bath water and swirl to create bountiful, indulgent bubbles. My thoughts - Very rarely I enjoy a long soak in the bath although it is my most loved self renovation treat due to the fact that a shower seems the fastest option when I have 7 little ones fighting for the bathroom so when I seen this in my gift set , I immediately set out purposely to fill the bath , as if I needed to find an excuse to get some tranquil time to myself. Pouring the clear honey shades liquid under the warm running tap I got a very nice relaxing aroma arise in to the air and the bubbles were filling my tub. I loved soaking in these bubbles, my skin felt so silky soft and I had no slippy bottom of the tub from the product which made me assured that the product was mixed into the water well and not layed on the bottom of the bath . Wild Argan Oil Body Scrub - 200ml - (£13.00) What they say about this product - Reveal radiant skin with this rich body exfoliator, enriched with organic Community Fair Trade argan oil from Morocco and argan shell exfoliants

How to use - Massage over damp skin in circular motions and rinse off. Use two to three times a week for softer, smoother skin. My thoughts - This Argan oil range really is absolutely divine , this body scrub has Argan Shell exfoliants which helps stimulate the skin cells , scrub the dead cells away and in turn leaves your skin feeling amazingly smooth and refreshed . My skin is not very good when it comes to exfoliating, if the particles are too harsh and heavy it can actually make more trouble for my skin and make it irritated and sore. The very fine particles in this body scrub are perfect for those who like a mild scrub , I found no complications using this what so ever and although the particles were gentle they still gave me soft skin . Wild Argan Oil Solid Oil Lip Balm - 20ml - (£4.00) What they say about this product - Rich solid oil for soft, radiant lips, enriched with organic Community Fair Trade argan oil from Morocco.
Ingredients - Vitis Vinifera Seed Oil/Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed Oil (Emollient), Ricinus Communis Seed Oil/Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil (Emollient), Bis-Diglyceryl Polyacyladipate-2 (Emollient), Hydrogenated Castor Oil (Emollient), Cera Alba/Beeswax (Emulsifier/Emollient), Parfum/Fragrance (Fragrance), Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil (Skin Conditioning Agent - Emollient), Synthetic Wax (Binder/Emollient), Tocopheryl Acetate (Antioxidant), Ammonium Glycyrrhizate (Flavour), Tocopherol (Antioxidant), CI 77492/Iron Oxides (Colorant), CI 19140/Yellow 5 Lake (Colorant), CI 77491/Iron Oxides (Colorant). How to use - Glide onto lips. Reapply as required throughout the day. My thoughts - I have always found that with tinned lip balms , the balms always seem to be a little harder than I like so for me I like to leave them in warm room to soften a little . This lip balm is not solid and hard but I like it to be a little softer to actually get on the finger than this . The scent is lovely and subtle and the handy little tin is ideal for taking with you everywhere. Over the winter especially , I suffer with very dry lips , tight and uncomfortable and I tend to use lip balms more and more at this time in particular. My lips feel moisturised and hydrated immediately and the uncomfortable feeling is eased straight away . I like that it stay son the lips for a good length of time , I feel my lips are protected while wearing it and I instantly notice the difference in the look of my lips when I use it. Ultra Fine Bath Lily - One piece - (£2.00) What they say about this product - This bath lily increases the lather of your body wash and gently exfoliates skin while you cleanse.
How to use - Pour a small amount of body wash onto the lily and rub over the skin using circular movements My thoughts - O.k , I have to admit , a bath lily is a bath lily and I for one have got a rather varied collection of them now but this is finer than the ordinary ones from Body Shop and this is perfect for those who want even more bubbles and helps give a rich lather with a strong body to sustain even the roughest of scrubbers . We all love Bath lily's and just like shoes and handbags, you can never have enough . I absolutely love this set, already my bubble bath is going down with every bath I have, my lip balm is in my handbag and used daily to nourish my lips, once a week I am using the exfoliation Scrub as it is so gentle and the body butter ,well , I am smothering myself in it daily also because I think I am actually addicted to its lush aroma and creamy texture.
So there you have it, my most loved gifted Christmas present I received this year that was skin care related . The stunning Wild Argan Oil Range Set, what was your most loved skin care gift set you received or did you send something like this to someone else as a gift? Do you ever remember the first time your tried to remove the hair from your body? I do and I was only 13 years old . I had blonde hairs , fine which most people struggled to notice but I noticed them and they bothered me somewhat at that delicate age where the other girls were becoming woman . Unfortunately , teenage girls seem to want to become older in the mind and body than they actually are until they finally realise they grew up to fast when they suddenly hit their 30's. My Aunt had told me I was not allowed to shave my legs as they would grow back thicker and darker but being so impatient , I secretly bought myself some hair removing cream that did not include any shaving at all with my own pocket money . It only cost me about £1 or something like that so was very affordable to buy. It was a simple cream , I had to put it on the area where there was hairs (my legs) then wait for 10 minutes before washing it off, which in turn removed my hairs at the same time. I used this method as my first ever hair removal routine and for a few months I thought I was getting away with it without my Aunt knowing but later on I found out the cucumber scent it had was giving it away every time I used it , she secretly played along making me feel independent because the hair removing process was safe to use and she had no concerns unlike the shaving which I could cut myself if not careful. Back then , the hair removal brand was used regular and to this day it still is nearly 20 years on. Nair! Today , Nair has a new range of products, a far cry away from the Cucumber one they used to have with its strong scent and plain packaging and I thought it only fare to give them a try. Nair Washable Roll-On Wax with Argan Oil & Orange Blossom . What do they say about this product? Nair Argan Oil Roll-on, combines a practical, washable, reusable Roll-on applicator and an exclusive, ultra-effective formula that can be rinsed in water. Cost - £12.99 Available from Boots What do you get ?
Ingredients - Colophonium, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Triethanolamine, Parfum, Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Citrus Aurantium Amara Flower Extract, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Benzyl Salicylate, Citronellol, Hexyl Cinnamal, Limonene, Linalool How to use - Heats up in the microwave in less than 1 minute 1. Slowly roll the applicator along the area to be waxed in the direction of hair growth in order to apply a thin layer of wax. The layer of wax must not exceed the length of one strip. 2. Quickly place the non-woven strip onto the layer of wax and smooth it firmly in the direction of hair growth. 3. Hold the skin taut with one hand and pick up the bottom of the strip with the other. Rapidly remove the strip in a brisk movement in the opposite direction to application. Being a virgin to waxing, I have to admit , I was terrified, especially as the only thing I knew were razors and creams . I had heard so many horrid stories of waxing at home especially the pain it has caused when not done properly. Preparing myself with a short or alcohol during my Christmas week , I took the leap and ran t the bathroom and got myself all prepared . My thoughts - When it comes to removing hair , it is the one thing in my beauty routine I absolute hate with a passion, unlike polishing my nails or enjoying a relaxing face mask, hair removal is not only time consuming but also painful at times, especially when it is waxing. When Ii read about hot wax, My skin literally sinks into its own skin fearing it will burn , I am totally new to the waxing world and this was a true test of my strength lol. The Roll on wax says that it lasts up to 4 weeks and to be honest that is the whole reason I wanted to give it a go due to the fact it was coming up Christmas and New Year. It took me 25 seconds to heat the wax in the microwave which may not seem long at all but when you are wanting the hair removal to be as quick as possible it is an amazing fast time in my opinion. The instructions were very clear to read and considering this is quite cheap and affordable the product worked very well for my first attempt. I could see and feel a difference after using the product and to be fair although I knew that it was for removing the hairs I never thought my legs would look so shiny and conditioned afterwards, Ii think the Argon Oil made a lot of difference to the overall result. My legs felt very soft and smooth and it did in fact leave no strays which I was expecting . My hairs are quite thick so for me this actually surprised me and I was left with no sticky residue at the end . I found the more time you took to ensure it was on evenly then pulling at it quickly , gave the best results . For me , I honestly would use this again . Body wax Strips What they say about the product - Nair Argan Oil Body Wax Strips Cost - £6.69 Available from Boots How to use - 1. Wash the area to be waxed with mild soap and water (do not take a bath). Dry thoroughly. If the climate is hot and humid, lightly dust the area to be waxed with powder. 2. Cleanse the skin to be waxed using Nair Pre-Wipes. Allow skin to dry thoroughly. 3. Take a wax strip and rub it gently between your hands to soften the wax. When the Nair logos have disappeared across the entire strip, the wax is ready to use. 4. Starting at the corners, peel the 2 halves of the strips apart slowly so that you have two separate strips with wax evenly distributed on each half. 5. Apply one half of the strip to the area where hair is to be removed, in the direction of hair growth. Smooth down with your hand. 6. Holding the skin taut, quickly pull off the strip in the opposite direction, parallel to the skin, not up and away from the body. Holding the skin taut during wax removal from the bikini area is very Important to minimise bruising. 7. The same strip can be reused by folding in-half on itself and rubbing between the palms, before unfolding. 8. After waxing is complete, use a Nair Post-Wipe to help soothe and moisturise the skin after waxing and to remove any wax residue. Avoid hot baths and sunbathing for at least 24 hours. After underarm waxing, do not use a deodorant or anti-perspirant for at least 24 hours. Ingredients - Wax Strips: Triethylene Glycol Rosinate, Glyceryl Rosinate, Hydrogenated Microcrystalline Wax, Parfum, Mica, Pentaerythrityl Tetra-di-t-butyl Hydroxyhydrocinnamate, Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil, Simmondsia Chinensis Seed Oil, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Amyl Cinnamal, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone, Geraniol, Coumarin, CI 77891, CI 77491 Pre-Wipes: Aqua, Alcohol Denat., Propylene Glycol, Mentha Arvensis Extract, Mentha Arvensis Leaf Oil, Benzalkonium Chloride, Linalool, Limonene Post-Wipes: Paraffinum Liquidum, Ethylhexyl Stearate, Cetearyl Ethylhexanoate, Isopropyl Myristate, Phenethyl Alcohol, Caprylyl Glycol, Bisabolol, Glycine Soja Oil, Parfum, Benzyl Salicylate, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Farnesol, Hydroxyisohexyl 3-Cyclohexene Carboxaldehyde, Linalool, Citronellol, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone, Eugenol, Chamomilla Recutita Extract, BHT, Tocopherol My thoughts - So having one leg done with the roll on , I decided to go brave and try the body strips on the second leg hoping for it to give the same result. I actually preferred these to the roll on as they seemed easier to apply . Having the strips there and ready to use , it made the whole process quick and easy and the results were better than I had with the roll on. I think these would be perfect to take on trips for those rushing around hotel nights away and last minute evenings out. The fact that they come with cooling wipes made it easier for me as I did get a little redness but not so that it was sore or irritated and I think the cooling wipes I had used previous to waxing helped . I would actually prefer to use the strips more often now I have given these ago and becasue they have quite a few in the pack I will save myself money and need to remove hair a lot less. Shower Power Cream - What they say about this product - Nair Argan Oil Shower Power Cream works during showering for handy, quick & effective hair removal. The unique formula containing Argan Oil, Jojoba Oil and Cocoa Butter helps to leave your skin feeling softer and smoother. Cost - £6.69 Available from Boots How to use - 1. Ensure skin is clean and dry then using the spatula provided apply a thick, even layer of the cream. Wait for at least 1-2 minutes before entering the shower. 2. In the shower, leave the cream on the skin for at least 3 minutes; try to avoid excessive exposure to water on the areas which are covered with the cream. 3. After 3 minutes, test a small area with the spatula. If the hair does not come away from the test area easily, leave for a few minutes longer do not exceed 10 minutes in all. 4. Remove the cream using the spatula, then rinse the area immediately with plenty of warm water to remove all traces of the cream. Do not rub or use soap. Ingredients - Aqua, Paraffinum Liquidum, Cetearyl Alcohol, Calcium Thioglycolate, Calcium Hydroxide, Ceteareth-20, Sodium Hydroxide, Parfum, Silica, Theobroma Cacao Butter, Argania Spinosa Oil, Simmondsia Chinensis Oil, Amyl Cinnamal, Geraniol, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone, Butylphenyl Methylpropional My thoughts - Having used the hair removing cream previously before but many years ago , I was a little unsure as to whether it would be a different experience. Well first of all there was no cucumber scent . In fact it was milder by far compared to the older version back in the 90's. I do remember back then, it took me about three attempts of applying cream for around 30 minutes instead of the instructed 10 or 15 minutes and usually most of them would still be attached so I would be left with patches to be done afterwards lol. Being mum to 7 it is a rare occasion having the time to enjoy a long soak in the bath and to be honest who sits in a bath of water removing hair anyway, it just seems disgusting to me. This is meant for shower use and I totally agree that It should be too. After all , it is meant for fast hair removal that is easy and effective . I applied the cream to my legs, left it on for a 10 minutes then tested a small area to see if the process had worked by using the spatula provided to gently scrape away the cream from the leg. Jumping in the shower most of the hair were washed away with no need to touch the legs but there was a couple of areas that had to be helped with the spatula to help loosen the hairs a little . Considering this is meant for a quick hair removal process, I found this to me more time consuming than the others which is no good for me at all and having to redo areas that had not been stripped of hairs in areas , it made it twice the pain. It still does not work for me unfortunately , maybe this will always be a teenagers products. Facial Wax Strips What they say about this - Nair Argan Oil Face Wax Strips with Colourcue technology, are a quick, easy, effective way to remove even short hairs. They contain Argan Oil and Jojoba Oil and leave your skin looking beautifully soft and smooth. Cost - £5.69 Available from Boots How to use - 1. Ok I just did lol, but hey who cares , we all get it at some time and it is no worry at all to remove , just what ever you do , do not shave it . Believe me when you find your first little hair on that top lip it will be the first thing you run to do but don't. I have no intentions of ever leaving them alone and having these little quick strips to pop on and pull of when I spot one in the mirror on a morning I am in a rush with. Having the cooling strips and moisturising wipes for use alongside these are a great benefactor also and I do believe this is what makes them fantastic due to the fact I can do this anytime and not worry about a sore red top lip .
