Over the years , our family has expanded and so has our love of a certain brand , especially when it comes to Entertainment . It was only last month that my husband decided to go and get his Christmas present early . He is the type of person who loves anything that is what I would call a BOY TOY and what he chose to take home with him the same day he spotted it was this - This is the Panasonic Max DJ Boombox My husband absolutely loves it and I have found myself turning it up so I can have a little dance too. Those high bass vibes and disco lights don't half get you in the mood . This is going to be playing Christmas Songs at high volumes for certain, in fact it is that loud that we can only have it only half the volume it is able to go to , absolutely immense, we love it. If you are interested in getting one yourself here are a few details- Panasonic Max DJ Boombox
Not only does Panasonic now supply me with one hell of a music player/DJ/disco , but we also have every T.V in our home which belongs to them also. Panasonic have been our home entertainment brand of choice for quite some years now and never failing to keep their technology up to date, we just cant help but keep updating them as they years go on. I know my husband has his eye on the New 85 inch - 4k Television. The bigger the better with its Studio Master Drive, Quad Core Pro5 and Studio Master Colour. Linking this up to his new speaker system would be his perfect home entertainment set out for all those gaming nights he enjoys with his brother. The time is drawing closer and if you are anything like me , your time in the Kitchen is going to be constant. Over the winter time , especially Christmas season, I spend most my time of day stood over the oven or preparing hot meals for all the celebrations upcoming. I Have to admit, I am no expert and it is the appliances that usually save my skin from any hectic moments , especially as we are a family of 9 and every meal is made in a larger scale than an average family. I have always wanted to learn to make my own bread and this is the reason I have put this on the list , I know I am not the only one. The SD-ZB2502 Breadmaker - The fresh smell of homemade bread is something we all love and over the winter evenings those broths, soups and casseroles will not go a miss without a fresh loaf . I know our family love nothing more than dipping a hot fresh loaf into our meals and with the SD-ZB2502 Breadmaker you can achieve a basic, french , italian and whole wheat loaf even those pizza doughs for making delicious pizza for your evening parties. For any other information , please visit Panasonic.com to see the full details . If there is one thing that really gets to me , no one will ring me but as soon as I run up the stairs or go to make a brew in the kitchen, it is expected that someone will then decide to give me a call and having to run back to the one phone in the sitting room which has probably been lost down one of the arms of the sofa is bound to result in them hanging up by the time I find it. We recently purchased the Panasonic KX-TG2723EB Trio DECT Cordless Telephone Set with Answer Machine, one for sitting room, kitchen and the bedroom. It has made my life so much easier . A few details on the Telephone set -
Panasonic have a huge range on their site and if your looking for a single handset only there is the KX-TG2721EB DECT Cordless Telephone So of course , being a beauty blogger, personal care is a big thing and I for one was actually unaware that they had a range which I would actually love to give a go and so for this reason I am adding them to my Christmas wish list. First of all, I love to straighten and style my hair and hair straighteners are one of my must have necessities . Panasonic have a Nanoe hair Straightener which looks absolutely fabulous. Having silky smooth hair is a dream come true for me, and I for one have always suffered with thick frizzy hair so it sounds perfect for under my tree this year . The pretty red sleek look is perfect for that Christmas gift to the one you love this year. You can check out the details over at Panasonic.com , they also have a hairdryer too. So after treating myself and my husband to their T.v's , telephones and hi-fi systems this year, Panasonic has always been our number one brand when it comes to home wear technology and appliances.
I wonder if you get a Panasonic under the tree this year, what are you hoping for?

Why am I reviewing this product? Been mum to 7 children and having two German Shepherds in my home only means one thing , nasty smells. Not saying my children smell nasty but the mess and dirt they bring in with them on a daily basis , or even the teenagers boys room smells unpleasant at times (if you ever wondered what that smell was coming from the teen boys room, just check for those odd 10 or more stinky lost sport socks that magically appear hidden under their beds). To be honest , it is not that bad but the dogs do tend to leave a smell and although people say they cant smell anything when they come in to my house , I certainly can and with it coming up to winter that wet dog smell is going to become a little more abrasive . I have never really been a dog fan but they came with my husband an so I have had to deal with the stink and mess they cause . The fact they are out in the garden where there are all sorts of germs and unpleasant nasties , then bringing them into my home and spreading it all over my home is something I can never seem to bare thinking about . I may not be able to see the bacteria but I certainly know they are there. I was sent a fantastic traditional cleaning agent last week by Zoflora. Zoflora has been used in my home for many years and in fact I also remember my mum using it when I was small too so it goes to show this is one of the favourites and effective cleaning agents . Who are Zoflora? Back in the early 1920s, Nathan Thornton was the Chemist and Worked as the Manager at a tar distillery and ammonia Works in Huddersfield which produced a whole range of coal tar by-products, including disinfectants and soaps. Carbolic acid was the main disinfectant, which killed germs but also left behind a horrible smell and this is where Mr Thornton saw a gap in the market. Mr Thoerntons special knowledge led him to the development of Zoflora disinfectant - a powerful disinfectant with twice the germ-killing power of carbolic acid, but with beautiful fragrance oils extracted from flowers. Developed to be used originally in large or public areas such as cinemas and factories , the sole purpose was for eliminating bad smells and smoke etc . Realising that people wanted the Zoflora disinfectant in their homes Mr Thornton then came up with what was known as the 'Domestic user' and for a small cost of only 3 shillings the Zoflora could be purchased from a chemist for a small 2oz bottle that was then to be diluted to be used around the home. Over the years the aromas of the Zoflora has always been a fascinating mix of fragrances .Some eSome earlier fragrances included Honeysuckle, Hawthorn, Violet and Night Scented Stocks, while others such as Bouquet, Lavender and Sweet Pea have stood the test of time and are still as popular now as they were nearly 80 years ago. Changing dramatically over the years Zoflora has gone from being sold in a chemist to now having a real loyal customer following of over 2 million households buying the brand. In recent years the company has invested in a multi-million pound manufacturing and packing facility for Zoflora based in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, in order to cope with increasing demand and it just keeps growing. One of my most loved cleaning home aromas are that of winter warmers such as Winter spice, Warm cranberry or Cinnamon like scents and having been sent the Warm Cinnamon Concentrated Disinfectant from Zoflora, you can imagine my surprise to see it was one of my favourite scents. The 3 in 1 action Limited Edition Concentrated Disinfectant promises what all Zoflora products do ,
This year for celebrating their 90th birthday, Zoflora brought out 3 new scents
I was lucky enough to get the other fantastic Warm Cinnamon which is not even on that list yet. You can purchase a bottle of 120ml from Tesco for only £1.33, which in my eyes is very reasonable , in fact so good , I often feel tempted to buy in bulk . How I found this product .
The fact that the disinfectant comes in a very small bottle has no matter to me at all as they last me ages. For me , I get 5 spray bottles from each small bottle . For me , the smell is everything, I used to be able to put up with strong smelling cleaning agents but getting a little older , my headaches come on a lot easier and I can sometimes be left feeling dizzy and sick . Using the Zoflora gives me a clean head, There is no strong odour of chemical and I don't tend to feel dizzy no matter how much product I use. I used the Warm Cinnamon concentrate on my wood and tile flooring . These are the areas my two dogs seem to wander around mostly after being outside , so my downstairs floors were in need of a strenuous refresh yet I had no need to get on hand and knee to scrub at the stubborn marks . Diluting the Disinfectant and using it on floors have left my home fresh and clean , no sign of the dogs until you catch them sprawling over the sofa as if they own the place and more importantly for me, the floor is squeaky clean with no smear marks which is what I would usually get using a mop with other products . Not only was it great for my floors but I also used this in the bathroom and toilet and using them on the white ceramic basins really did I used to buy a new mobile every month , back in 2000 the price was around £100-£200 for a brand top of the range and so it became almost a competition between who had it first . I remember my first ever phone was a huge brick with an aerial out the tip of it which was always either chewed off or lost . The only thing you could do with them was use it for calls and texting and it had no colour screen , just that calculator classic style writing , the signal never worked so you would find yourself jumping on top of trees or hanging out of windows to try and reach for the signal that did not exist. Over the years technology has grown dramatically and I for one can not keep up with it especially when it comes to mobile phones . Every time I look at a new mobile and say ''Yes I want that one'', another pops up even better a little less than a week later on the adverts or shop windows and by the time I have got that new mobile and saved hundreds for it , it is almost a year or three years old . It is ridiculous at the price of them, some mobiles cost only £150 but then there are others which cost an outstanding £700 and sometimes more . These things can cost more than a car sometimes. Today mobile phones have become bigger and better with more and more apps, abilities and styles available than ever before. You can do everything on a mobile phone now from calling, texting , playing and watching games and videos to even scanning your groceries , using your phone to control electrics on the home and even shop, bank,read your favourite books, listen to songs and even build a website plus there are so many more. Over the years my buying them has had to be cut dramatically due to cost and if I am lucky , my husband may give me his old one or treat me to a new one at Christmas but it is rare and there is no wondering why. Two months ago , I was very lucky in receiving a tweet from Carphone Warehourse informing me that I had won a brand new mobile phone , The HTC one M8 in pink to be exact and needless to say I was over the moon and to be honest a little sceptical after waiting two months for it to arrive. Here it is................ Yes that is the box , thought I would keep you waiting a little longer while I give you a little more detail on what it actually is that made me so excited. Inside the box you receive the usual leaflets giving you your starter information , warranty and user guid lines. You also receive the handset , earphones with extra plugs, a charging socket plug and the data cable along with a free cover to prevent the phone from scratches and you also get the key to open your slot for placing your nano sim and SD card into the phone. The look and feel of the phone- The HTC one M8 is beautifully curved with a full aluminium body . The screen is a tidy 5'' and the HD 1080p resolution brings the pixel density down to a respectable, 441ppi. The screen is bright and colourful and makes watching movies on your phone a pleasure , the only problem I have with it is that the screen is less visible in high sunlight , just a little let down but considering the UK shares little sunshine , I do not think I have much to worry about . The phone feels light to hold and is balanced very well as you can see , perfectly central so the worry of dropping it or it wobbling out of control in my hand is minimalised and I feel a steady grip of the phone when holding it . This phone really does fit your hand comfortably . I was lucky to receive the Pink limited edition solely promoted by Carphone Warehouse and I have to say I was expecting something a little bit more brighter in colour but am pleased they have kept it almost metallic light pink , very pretty and still smart looking considering,especially if your girly like me , but if you would prefer, the phone is available in other colours such as Gold, Grey, Silver or red . I love how the punched speaker grilles are almost ''shown off'' on the front of the phone and gives it that sleek look with the notification light signal behind it which flashes green every time I leave the notification alone. Little features like that make me happy due to the fact I spend late nights sat in my bedroom watching movies which hubby snores beside me having to keep phone on silent , no vibrate or just simply being as quiet as I can to not disturb him, so the light makes it easier for me to see if there is something going on in my social networking world without battering an eyelid to the sleeping beast. The Duo camera on the back is also a new feature for me and I love how they match together on the back of the phone but you do still have that option of getting a front facing shot . The insights of the HTC One M8- You get a fantastic 2,600mAh battery that will give you up to 20 hours of talk time, or last up to 496 hours when the phone's on standby. For me it is a savour due to the fact I had to recharge my mobile every night with its low battery life , I have actually let my phone go completely dead and it lasted me 5 days without the need to charge so it is great compared to my previous Sony Xperia model. It's powered by a 2.3GHz quad core Snapdragon 801 processor and Android 4.4.2 KitKat. You get a fabulous 16GB internal storage and also a slot for a microSD card so you can add up to 128GB of extra memory. For me the 16GB is quite sufficient for now though and I have all sorts on the phone already. One of the features I find fantastic although a little of a bug bare at times is the new HTC One Motion Launch. Taking a call is as easy as lifting the phone to your ear it just takes a double tap on the screen when it's asleep or you can swipe up to access your last app, left for widgets and right for HTC BlinkFeed™. Blinkfeed is one of the other lovely features of the phone , I can check all of my social networking site updates of news from my twitter, facebook, instagram and more by just adding it to my list all at once. I have found my self sat watching movies and listening to music on this mobile due to the great new HTC BoomSound that has been made even better. The amazing sound comes from the two high quality punched speakers which are on the front of the phone and they direct your music straight at you. It is like sitting in your sitting room with surround sound in your ears , the sound is crystal clear and behind the speakers are dedicated amplifiers and unique software that automatically adjusts the sound to the music that's playing. The sound is clear with no distortion which makes it a wonderful experience . One of the other favourites (although I wish it secretly was not shown to my son while I was excited to check out) is the Kid mode also known as Zoodles. The App was built onto the phone and we have spent a few good nights using its great features. Alongside the usual games, painting and watching children's educational programmes there is also a story telling mode where you can not only read your child a story but you can also record a video of you reading the story to them and save it so they can see you at bedtime reading to them. Now personally this is pretty lazy if you are just going to throw your phone in front of the child and leave them alone, I personally like it because I can sit with him and he seems to be more enthralled in it because his dad or me are on the screen. The good thing about Zoodles Kid mode is that you can (if you need or want to) give your child your phone and by having it password protected you can leave your child to roam their own apps without the danger of having pop ups , adverts or even your own apps and programmes being available to them. The phone costs a staggering £529.95 which is quite a lot but the experience of this phone compared to my Sony Xperia is substantially different. I seem to get more than just a phone with the HTC one M8. I have had a fabulous lucky draw in receiving the phone from Carphone warehouse and would like to give a huge thankyou to them for sending me this wonderful new adventure which I seem to be finding more fun with each time I open it .
What do you think about the HTC one M8 ? New statistics on recycling plastics in the Uk from The National Plastics Recycling Initiative, revealed that 1 in 10 people aged 18-24 (11%) admitted to not caring at all about recycling while 60% are uninterested , leaving only 29% who want to or try to help with recycling. In Uk , The average household uses over 440 plastic bottles per year yet only a little over half of them (58%) are recycled , so where does the other 42% go to? Did you know that the new statistics also revealed that Woman are more concious of the environment meaning men are less likely to recycle and only 34% of people think they only recycle as much as they can in respect of not knowing exactly how or what to recycle. Statics reveal that people are placing their recyclable bottles in the wrong bins so it is not that people are unable to recycle, it is basically them just being lazy or ignorant and they are not recycling them properly. About the National Plastics Recycling Initiative- In September of this year (2014), The National Plastics Recycling Initiative was founded and it is being led by Recoup and supported by partners including -
This huge initiative has been enforced to tackle the huge problem the UK is currently having with recycling plastics but not only recycling, also the use of recyclable packaging to help meet the challenging targets which have been set by the UK government for 2013-17. There are three key aims of the initiative;
About Pledge4Plastics- Pledge 4 Plastics is a government backed national initiative which aims to boost recycling of plastic packaging in the UK. Led by Recoup, a plastics recycling charity, Pledge4Plastics have been developed with the partners above. Each local authority has their own targets to, to recycle more packaging and reduce the amount of material which is sent to landfill. Landfill costs have rapidly increased, and by recycling plastics more money can be spent by local authorities on other essential services. Recently Barry Turner, head of the Packaging and Films Association named and shamed the best and worst five Councils for recycling Plastics. Abigail Ahern - To highlight the many ways plastic can be given a new life if recycled correctly, The gorgeous interior designer and stylist, Abigail Ahern, has channelled her distinct quirky style to design her first ever bespoke phone cover, which is made from 80% recycled plastic bottles. One thousand limited edition phone covers have been designed exclusively for #Pledge4Plastics, to reward those who register their support online. Show your support and pledge now! Knowing that 5 billion plastic bottles were sent to the UK landfill sites last year, the initiative has joined forces with Abigail Ahern to launch the #Pledge4plastics
The importance of the #Pledge4Plastics is not just about recycling water bottles but also to encourage recycling other types of plastics such as hair care , domestic cleaning ,cooking oils and sauce bottles,tubs cartons and trays. If you have a school or playgroup near by , why not pop in with your cleaned yoghurt , butter and egg trays and give them some free arts and crafts supplies, I usually get those watsit shaped foams or bubble wrap in my parcels , the kids love to take those in . We try to do our bit for recycling - I have to be honest in the fact that a couple of years a go , our family had no interest in recycling, but our local council did attempt to help us out by sending us and other households in the council extra bins, boxes and bags which made us learn to recycle more efficiently. At first the thought of going through each item we used such as bottles of pops or sauces , washing them then placing them all in the recycle bin , felt a little daunting and time consuming but over the years our family have learnt to adapt to a routine where we feel it is no longer a chore . Each evening our bins are emptied into the outside bins which are collected weekly alternating between the recycle and waste. I keep all the recyclable rubbish to one side and the other waste goes into a separate bin . We are lucky enough to have children in a primary school and we do try to bag as much of it as we can to send in for them to use in arts and crafts. My son loves to take cereal boxes, egg boxes and sometimes plastic milk bottles into his class to create something artistic so it does reduce our bin load dramatically. We do separate our household waste. We had to order new bins due to our extended family , having 9 of us in the home entitled us to being able to have an extra two bins, 1 extra recycle bin and 1 more waste bin. I have to be honest in admitting that the waste bin stays empty pretty much, but our recycle bins are both always very much full . Our thoughts and habits on recycling have changed and I am sure if you took 15 minutes out of your day, yours would to. My daughters friend brought me this over the summer, she told me her mum makes them along with other items from plastic bottles, It hangs in my garden and makes a lovely wind chime , most of all when the sun shines on it , it looks so pretty. I have also seen so many other things that can be made from recyclable plastics , its amazing what can be made with them. I began blogging when I came across a lovely lady from Malta named Dyna . I was very interested in how she reviewed every beauty product she had purchased and vlogged over on her youtube channel about her honest experiences regarding them. She inspired me to give beauty blogging ago and from there I have since added on my experiences of being mum to 7 , Lifestyle , travelling, food and even the random style post now and again. It most certainly has become some what of a joy to do and since last September I am now enjoying my role as beauty blogger and parent blogger with the odd burst of randomness. I have grown to learn about and meet some amazing people in the blogging industry and although they may be across the waters , we all seem to share the same interests and can spend hours talking about the same things over and over again as if we were family. The blogging industry has become huge , so many people start of using them as a diary or a photo album and then grow into a full blown business blogger who thrive on sharing their honest opinions on anything and everything. For me , it has to be the fun of meeting new people and experiencing new things. Being mum to 7 , I do not get out much or very little so the social media seems to be my best friend and I have found the biggest support for not only my blogging but also my personal life with the social media blogging community. Blogging brings excitement , friends and new beginnings and that is what I have been experiencing this past few months more than ever. My blog is a non profit blog, I do it basically for the amazing rewards in social networking and meeting new people, the thought that a huge brand or figure has enjoyed reading my personal opinion on their product or event has to be the highlight for me, I enjoy it , it keeps me busy and I wish I had done it sooner. There is nothing more rewarding than sharing your experience about something and someone thanking you for your honest opinion and help . You do not need qualifications, you don't need to be a certain size or look a certain way. The style of writing in every single blog is different and that is what makes a blogging so fun. Why not give it a go ? It is amazing to see that the North East has finally seen the Blogging Industry and have decided to hand out awards , My problem has always been that many events or ceremonies are always held in areas such as London , Manchester or even places like Ireland and those areas are way out of my reach being mum and having no transport. I would love for you to check out the North East Blogger Awards website and vote for some of the amazing North East Bloggers and of course if you love my blog , I would love to hear if you have given me a bit of support to. So go ..........Give the North East a big up by nominating your favourite blog here North East Blogger Awards And of course thankyou all for the amazing support , keep it up , keep blogging , keep sharing your experiences of life. |
