Ok , I am not going to lie, eyeliners are one of my key makeup statement looks, I have always been a fan of the winged liner or even defining my little eyes into big icons of boldness and it always comes with the help of my trusted eyeliners. Christmas as you know was my haven for receiving many Urban Decay Items from my darling husband and if I could have filmed my reaction you would have understood the reasons why he chose this brand in particular for me . I have heard so much hype over many brands but Urban Decay seem to be the one that have impressed me most in 2014 and work amazingly well for my every need including eyes and skincare. I will tell you why I thought you may be interested . Well it began with my Post the other day, I had so many people telling me how amazing my eyes looked after posting this picture - This was actually a post regarding the wearing red for The Heart Foundation Fundraising event which was held on 6th January but it was my makeup that seemed to have impressed which also included even more Urban Decay , the Electric palette which was where I got the red shade in this eye look from . The eyeliner in this look was the shade smoke and as you can see it set my eye shape fantastically and made my eyes really pop and stand out . Smoke is only one of the shades in the set I received though, in fact the set was of 8 shades which consisted of -
The 8 shades were placed on double ended pencils and were all of the 24/7 Glide on range. Where can you buy these from ? Urban Decay Cost ? £27.00 What they say about the product? Black Magic contains four 24/7 Glide-On Double Ended Eye Pencils: Zero + Demolition (zealous black cream + deep brown matte), Black Velvet + Smoke (rich, smoky black matte + deepest gray matte), Perversion + LSD (blackest black matte + navy shimmer w/bright turquoise micro-sparkle) Black Market + Tornado (charcoal black satin + dark eggplant pearl). Like most women, the makeup junkies at Urban Decay are obsessed with black liner. But they’re also serious colour addicts. Enter Black Magic 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil Set. It’s the ultimate pairing set for black liner junkies: four of Urban Decay’s DOUBLE-ENDED Eye Pencils—for a total of eight habit-forming hues—all in their award-winning, waterproof 24/7 formula. Experiment with every black shade UD makes (including their 24/7 Velvet formula in Black Velvet), plus other iconic shades like Demolition and LSD. This set even marks the return of two in-demand shades you won’t find anywhere else: Black Market (charcoal-black) and Tornado (dark eggplant). Stash any one of these pencils in your bag, and you’ve got a great black AND a rich colour in one convenient pencil! Every shade in Black Magic features Urban Decay’s creamy, award-winning 24/7 formula, which glides on smoothly and dries down to a long-lasting finish. Black Magic comes in a gorgeous box with artwork reminiscent of multicoloured puffs of smoke—the perfect backdrop for this amazing lineup. (And the clear cover lets you see exactly what’s inside.) As always, the pencils feature shade-matched barrels, so it’s easy to find the right colour in your bag. I go through so many eyeliners , and to me the pencil has always been my favourite to line the eye with , I get joy out of being able to use it right down till I can not sharpen it no longer but this set is definitely one of my big loves this year already. I will for sure not be running low on eyeliner for a very long time, if ever this year and have a variable few shades such as brown , black, grey to a shimmer navy and aquatic sparkle teal (which I am dying to give a try by the way). I have worn these on a few occasions already now , indoors and outdoors and I have to say that these liners last all day long so the name 24/7 really is true although I have not actually tried to wear them for a full 7 days without removing them so can not actually comment on the longlivity of that length . With these eyeliners , I have no need to rub harshly on my eyes , they simply glide on like butter, so soft and gentle on my lids . After wearing these for a few hours , I tried to rub them of my eyes but they were not budging , the staying power really is fantastic , I had to get my eye makeup remover to remove it all and I am sure that I will never look back on these, I also think that the price is amazing. I would actually love the glide on eyeliner set also with even more shades to enjoy . Do you like wearing eyeliners , what colour do you love most at this time of year?

Over the years , I have struggled to keep a face full of makeup on for the full lasting day and when it comes to having to apply makeup early hours in the morning and keeping it on till late that night , it can be harder than you think . My worry is always that I would have to add to much makeup , caking it on to ensure that if some rubbed of , then some would be still there by the end of the day or even having to take toilet breaks to top the products up which ends up just being so time consuming. I have no idea why I had never even thought about using a setting spray and up until last year , I was not using one . It makes my day to day makeup routine that little bit easier and carefree and I now have no worry of my makeup slipping, sliding or fading. Here is the product that I am loving and would definitely call my Holy Grail of my beauty products. Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray. Cost - £20.00 for full size of 120ml or £9 for travel size of 30ml What they have to say about the product - Mist on this weightless spray to give your makeup serious staying power. All Nighter helps keep your makeup looking gorgeously just-applied without melting, fading or settling into fine lines. The result? Smoother-looking skin and vibrant makeup that lasts all day (or all night). Ingredients - Aqua (Water/Eau), Alcohol Denat, PVP, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Dimethicone PEG-7 Phosphate, PPG-3 Benzyl Ether Myristate, Polyhydroxystearic Acid, Isononyl Isononanoate, Ethylhexyl Isononanoate, Caprylyl Glycol, Methyl Methacrylate Crosspolymer, Glycereth-5 Lactate, Sodium Cocamidopropyl PG-Dimonium Chloride Phosphate, Methyl Diisopropyl Propionamide, Sodium Hydroxide, Parfum (Fragrance), Poloxamer 407 Where to buy - Urban Decay Debenhams Having rarely needing to use my setting sprays regular due to the fact I do not wear my makeup every single day nor do I wear makeup for a full day unless it is a special occasion, I find the travel size quit enough for me but I will be treating myself to a full size come summer no doubt as I will be out a lot more than I am over winter . I actually expected this setting spray to be a little more costly so the price for me is great and because it lasts so long with you only needing 2 or 3 sprays with each use , you are sure to have this on your makeup table for a while before needing to buy some more. What makes This setting spray an amazing product is the main fact that your makeup wont budge all day. It also means that because you know your makeup wont budge you get a need to put less makeup on which in turn does wonders for your skin and also saves you pounds in the purse and up until using this I Had never thought it would make such an impact in my life , but it does . What I enjoy about the spritz of this setting spray is how it feels when I apply it to my face, I have used other setting sprays which simply just makes my makeup worse , soaking it , making it fade or run , Urban Decay All nighter Setting Spray is a heavenly refreshing spritz like a cold spray from a falling waterfall . It is so gentle but effective on the skin that you can feel the cool spritz and in my opinion it actually gives my makeup a smoother look . I used this only Saturday night at my dads 60th birthday celebration and being out late I knew this would keep my true face hidden from family and friends that had seen me only on line in pictures and on here . It is not a bad thing for them to see me, but having my beauty bloggers face on rather than the natural Lisa , is always my preferred look. Luckily for me , as expected l my makeup kept still all night long , not one little shift at all , and this is something I had not experienced with previous products of similar description. Just because this setting spray is meant for keeping makeup on all day, this does not mean it will be hard to remove once set , for some reason this does not make removing my makeup any harder than without using it which to me is rather magical . I am actually storing my spray in the fridge , this helps me enjoy it that little bit more on warmer days and before you say it , I know its winter but I am not feeling so cold for some strange reason or maybe it is just that our winter will come in March again this year instead . To me this is my Holy Grail of my all my beauty products and would recommend it to anyone who wears makeup.
I love the gorgeous scent, the cool light spritz and the everlasting effects it gives my makeup also the even finish it leaves on my skin. I feel this does not settle into the fine lines and clog up pores , making my makeup build up unevenly and it works in all weathers which makes it prefect for all year round. It dries quickly once sprayed onto the area and it takes one flick of the hair and a smile in the mirror before I can say to myself that I no longer need to worry about melting or fading makeup before leaving the house . Have you bought this before, will you, what is your holy grail of the beauty products you own? Take a look at this little palette of camouflage from W7 Cosmetics . Cost - £4.95 Available from W7 Cosmetics. What they say about the Camouflage kit - This kit contains 5 creamy tones that are easy to blend, all you need to create a flawless face! To be honest , I do not really go out purposely to buy these palettes but when you are unsure of your tones and are looking for you first concealers, blemish covers or even highlighters and contouring shades this may come in handy and for only £4.95 , you can not complain . Ingredients listed in the picture below - I have had a few good experiences with this brand . One of my favourites was actually recently with their Purple Haze Palette and previous to that their Nail polishes which are rather lovely . The packaging is simple , but I love the quirky writing style they have given this palette and it seems to make it more appealing than just a plain white case with boring black print. The good thing about it is , it is easy to keep clean, we all know what it is like when we have fingertips of foundation/concealer and you simply dread touching anything that is a material or texture that is simply unpractical so I love the sleek finish to this packaging. I actually love the extra details that W7 have given this nice little kit, the handy mirror and double ended brush which is not the typical sponge like applicator. When I see palettes that have the sponge applicator inside, I instantly think that that brand has no idea of how to apply makeup or what people want so how are they going to know that the product itself is any good so W7 adding this little extra touch to their palette shows they are listening to the customers needs . The nice little thing about this kit is that there are 5 different shades both yellow and pink based tones so even if you can not find one which matches, you can mix them a little to find a closer blend . The texture of these are very creamy and gorgeously silky soft which is lovely as when blended they do not crack or emphasise creases or wrinkles in areas such as around the eye or lip area. I would like to point out though that if you have oily skin , this may not be the best product fro you as I found that my oily areas on the face were emphasised by the product and my dry areas were perfect for it, combination skin really is a pain sometimes. Personally , I prefer to use this under my foundation although I usually wear it over with other brands as I find it lightens the areas A little so the first one in the palette is fantastic for actually highlighting under the eye and the last one is perfect for contouring cheekbones and the nose slightly without making it look overly obvious that is what you were attempting to do . I have very uneven skin tone, in fact around three to four different shades in different areas but this actually evens it out lovely for me if I need to make it a little more of a base shading correction and the redness that appears around my nose area is reduce also. I think the only problem for me with this palette is that the pots are too small and because they are in palette form it makes it a little harder to use a bigger brush for the bigger coverage I need sometimes. I actually love this kit and I do pull it out for brightening my under eyes and covering those late night under eye bags , using this as a concealer is ok for small areas suck as spot blemishes and red pimples but not for overall camouflage.
Have you given this Camouflage Kit a try, will you? I think for only £4.95 , it certainly would be a miss not to . So let me know what you think . Ok , so you can see a theme on this makeup section of the blog cant you? Yes I know it is All Urban Decay Lately but I have to be honest with you , it seems to be my addiction and I did ask Santa for only that particular brand this year as I seemed to have had such a fantastic experience with the other three products and it is not like I get a treat like this very often , usually Birthday, Christmas and maybe the odd time in between when we have a spare few pennies . You never know though , now I have quit smoking and going to be saving the cash, this could become a weekly affair . So I have tried the Urban Decay Naked Palettes, but reading other blog posts from other beauty bloggers I realised that not only were the palettes a must have but their single pots were just as valuable . Sometimes brands make palettes where their formula is perfect but do not sell the same shades separately or the formula is slightly different and this is one of my bug bears so I always prefer to buy palettes rather than single pots although I do own the odd few favourites but surprisingly from much cheaper brands . Moondust is my next collecting venture with Urban Decay eyeshadows and for three months before Christmas I begged my husband with endless hints for one in particular. Moondust is priced at £14 Available from Debenhams Here is what they say about their product - Moondust is dazzlingly sparkly but with a super refined, incredibly sophisticated feel (and not a single speck of chunky glitter). Microfine bits of iridescent sparkle collide with intense, dreamy hues and lush, 3-D metallics—for an effect that’s out of this world. It feels like a cream but goes on like a powder to create a smooth, brilliantly reflective look. The result? Sexy, twinkling sparkle with a ton of depth and movement. (And a LOT of questions about what you’re wearing!) We recommend applying Moondust with your fingers. For extra intense colour payout, try it wet. Not only had my husband the one Moondust shadow under the tree but he had three -

[+/- (May Contain/Peut contenir): CI 77891 (Titanium Dioxide), CI 77491/77499 (Iron Oxides)]. Space cowboy was the one that I had been drooling over for months but never did I imagine the others to be so gorgeous too. I noticed Space cowboy on the lady at the Debenhams Urban Decay Stall when she was applying me with a new foundation I had bought and it stopped me in my tracks and I had to ask her what it was and tell her how stunning it looked on her . She had only applied it very faintly unlike the swatch below which is way to intense for my liking , I literally only need the smallest finger tip touch of it to have the stunning effect I had seen on the lady with it on . It looks stunning on and Moonspoon actually looks amazing over the top of any shade if you put the smallest dazzle of the top which Is what I have been doing. Moondust comes in 7 different shades -
So I only have 4 more to get and my next favourite option would definitely be Stargazer before then moving onto the three colours., as the purple of course (my favourite colour) looks devine and no doubt would have been a big hit over this New year Celebrations . Lets take a closer look at all 3 of the beauties I have myself. Moonspoon - This is a medium gun grey with bright silver sparkle . For me this is the shadow that works well over any of your shadows if used lightly for that stunning subtle shimmer. If you apply to the wet base then you will get an amazing array of silveness. Perfect as a liner for those nights out. Diamond Dog- This is a stunning white gold, deep brown sparkle and I absolutely adore this . The colour intensifies immensely if applied to a wet surface so if you want something subtle remember to use a small amount. The small tiny sparkles give a stunning look to the eye , brightening it up with the smallest amount but beware of fallout , sometimes if over used . The texture is so soft and cream like but goes on like a powder . Space Cowboy- The one I had me fainting with weak knees when I opened it on Christmas Morning is this little beauty. The slightly peachy toned gold shade is stunning and I for one am in total love with it. Using this has become almost a habit these past couple of days , Just a small tiny dab onto the centre of the lid and I feel like a star . Ok you all know how much I love purple so when Urban Decay Shadows come in that amazing UD Dark Cadbury Purple Box , I am totally won over especially when the Shadow tubs themselves are even prettier. Silver and solid , the tubs of eye shadow actually pop out too. If you wish to take four of your most loved shadows in one palette you can opt for buying the 'Build your own palette moonflower '' for only £14 , pop out the shadows and place them inside , of course it is also the stunning purple shade I love but for me I like to have all my shadows in view lined up to see in their gorgeous cases themselves.
Being the girl who loves sparkle these little pots of starlight truly are my dream and I look forward to adding the others to make the set but guess what, Ii have another palette to show you next , so keep an eye out before I start shopping again . |
