Oh I do love the Easter theme . There is always so many different themes to go with for your nails but I have no doubt most of them will be adapted with Decorated eggs and Bunny rabbits or even the Chick if your lucky . Always colourful and cheerful with the bright summery yellows and oranges I seem to be transfixed each year with a plain nail stating those exact shades but this year I was determined to give some fantastic transfers a try and of course Charliesnailart.co.uk were the obvious option for the decoration. As with all transfer sheets from Charliesnailart.co.uk they are only £1 and this design sports 5 different designs including three large eggs, a small egg and a cheerful pink bunny . The transfers are cut into sections and placed into a shallow bowl of cold water, this helps the transfer detach itself from the white sheeting paper easily without the need for you to scrape , it really is very easy to do . Once the white sheet drops to the bottom of the bowl leaving the transfer floating , you can then use a cuticle pusher or tweezers to pick up the transfer and transfer to the nail. I have used this technique leaving the transfer on the sheet and then pressing my finger on top of the transfer as well and it works just as good so it is up to you which you find easier. Once the Transfers are on the nail and the nail is dry from any water droplets which you will no doubt have on from the application, you can then finish the look off by using a top coat to ensure it stays put and also give it that smooth finish . The transfers are so easy to use, not fidgety at all and if you use a good top coat , these will last a good few days , depending on how much you have your hands into the kitchen sink which to me is everyday so they typically only last me around 4-5 days. I decided to give this Easter look a scatter effect with one feature finger which as you will see by my next post includes the Nail Foils so please keep an eye out as this is one of their products I have not until now tried and until next time realised how to use it and came up with a wonderful effect . So what do you think of the wonderful Easter theme, will you be giving your nails a spring Finish ?

As you all know , I am a huge fan of Charliesnailart.co.uk and their fantastic huge range of Nail art products. Up to now I have tried their Transfers and Stickers , well up untill the today where this morning I had the pleasure of giving the Metal Heart Studs a try on my Monday Mani Morning. As always you can buy the Metal Heart studs from Charliesnailart.co.uk themselves for only 99p for 100pc and these are available in 5 different shades - Black Pink Gold Silver Red I am not one for usually using gems or studs but being in a loving mood I thought these fit for my latest emotions this past few weeks (you will find out shortly if you don't know already why that may be ). The hearts are 4mm in size and can be quite tricky to pick up but if you have a rubber ended cutical pusher it helps a lot as in this instance tweezers are certainly no good as they will scratch the colour of the metal stud. I found them easy to apply and because they are very lightweight they don't feel as if they are going to fall of or get caught on anything during the days wear. I had no problem getting them to stick to the nail , these studs need t be glued onto the nail but I preferred to stick to the nail polish itself while the polish was tacky then go over the top with a clear top coat which kept them in place securely.
I am so impressed with that these studs have given that boring nail polish an uplift nail art finish. What do you think of the Metal Heart studs, if you like these then maybe you would also like the Square metal studs , I am certainly looking to give these a try in the blue and also bright's ready for the summer days . So as you already know , the love of transfers for me and my nails is vastly improving on different scales of styles and themes and this one I am showing you today is one I know you will love even if it is just for the love of the lady herself featured. Audrey Hepburn Transfers are available from Charliesnailart.co.uk for only £1 per sheet which includes 30 transfers. Let us take these boring mint shaded nails and make them look pretty. First of all , I have tried using transfers in various ways to get them to work more effectively and easily , the quicker the easier it is for me, the more appealing transfers are to me, agree? How to use the transfers- 1.The best way I have found to use these transfers is by cutting each transfer to size and then soak them in a shallow bowl of water. This gives the transfer enough water to soak the sheet it is on and therefore make it a lot easier to apply to the nail. The detail of these transfers are amazing, they really are a true resemblance of the lady herself . 2. Using tweezers carefully pick up the individual piece ensuring you do not touch the picture . 3. Using your finger , carefully swipe your finger tip across the picture , this will then attach the transfer to your finger , this works best when your finger is dry . 4. Press the transfer from your finger to the clean nail area making sure that the transfer is intact and straight in the desired place then cover with a top coat to finish the look and make the transfer last longer . These transfers are certainly worth the money and look amazing on the nail .
They give that fantastic finish that all astounding artists could only dream of sketching on their nails themselves and because I am not the artist myself, it makes others fall in love with the easy detailed transfers which makes this look achievable for even the novice of nail artists . Do you like the Audrey Hepburn Transfers, if so then maybe you would also like the Marilyn Monroe Transfers . It has come to my attention that Valentines Day is upon us and I for one am getting ready with some gorgeous pretty nail designs with the help from the fantastic Charliesnailart.co.uk. As you know , I have become very interested in using transfers and stickers lately, especially due to the fact they are so affordable, work amazingly well and are easy to use with no difficulty at all. For the Valentines theme , I thought this sticker set would be perfect - Gem Angel Wings & Cherub Stickers Cost - £1 Amount - 30 Stickers I have to admit that these stickers do feel a lot thinner than the average sticker so these go on so smoothly that you have no worry of them popping up from the nail and looking ''STUCK ON''. Being very thin means you do have to be a little more careful in removing them from the clear sheet that it is attached to but this is easiest to do using a pair of tweezers in my opinion (I am finding if I pull them off with my fingers they tend to snap easily). On working out which design to use on my nails with using this sheet only , I found that there were two long length strips on the sheet which could be cut to size and then placed onto the nail which gave a lovely addition to the nail design . The extra touch of diamonte gems that are on the individual stickers gave this look that little bit extra quality and made the effect more appealing . To be fare I am actually surprised that with such a fantastic design and including the gems within the design that this product is still only priced at £1 and the quality has still not differed . Using these stickers that are solely shades black & silver go perfectly on all coloured nails from pink , purples and reds for the usual Valentines shades or if you like, add them onto a stunning blue or orange shade to brighten this dull February. Not being the most artistic or creative with my nails (although I have given it a try), I can clearly say that this is the most affordable and achievable way to take a dull nail and make them pretty for such a lovely occasion without worry of fuss.
It literally took me minutes to do this design and being a busy working mum, I need something quick with the effects I ask for or need. Well my nails are looking pretty, what will you be doing with yours? I have to admit, getting past the Christmas and New Year has been rather pleasing , especially as I am now sick of seeing santa and snowman everywhere so you can imagine my relief when I woke up this week and looked out of the window to see snow on the fields outside my house. Arghhh,,,,,,,,why cant we have some sunshine? Snow to me is what symbolises Christmas time and to be quite frank I have had enough of it now and want the Spring to appear. No more Green and Reds , bring on the pretty pastels and bright oranges and yellows, I am ready for it! Trying to bring on the Spring a little eagerly , I decided to show my enthusiasm in the form of my nails . Over the festive season I had enjoyed some fantastic Christmas themes but now I was in need of something pretty and Charlies Nail Art were as always full of ideas to brighten my day and this time in the form of some stunning butterflies.....OMG , my favourite ever of all the animals and creatures. So much that it was the same theme I got married with. As you may have already seen, Charlies Nail Art supply you with numerous amounts of endless fantastic designs from Decals, transfers , 3d Nail art , stickers and so much more and the great thing about the products from them is that you can pick them up for as little as 25p depending on what you are looking for . Here are the fantastic Brown & Cream Butterfly Transfers- Cost - £1.00 Where to buy - Charlies Nail Art Amount of transfers - 1 sheet which incudes 34 seperate designs. The transfers are very simple to use -
My thoughts on the Butterfly Transfers - I have found these so simple to use and they are actually very quick to apply. The whole process took me no longer than 10 minutes which to me is nothing . The transfers lie flush with the nail and surprisingly these seem thinner than the last transfers I used which made the finishing effect look more appealing and there were no edges lifted to show that this was in fact a transfer. For me the design is very clear, bright and effective and that is what Ii would look for in a transfer, we don't want a dull boring design do we? The added difference in sizes and the odd flower been added into this butterfly sheet makes it less average and gives you a little inspiration . For me , transfers are making my life a little easier , I can choose form so many choice of designs and the effect always looks fantastic no matter what the theme.
What do you think about the Butterfly Transfers, will you be giving them a try or do you have a creative streak and draw on your own ? |
