Made in Britain since 1770, this beautiful brand even gets the Royal Warrant with its delicate Signature Scents of Lavender . A purveyor of Luxury fragrances and soaps was born during the reign of King Charles 1 and to this day has a wide varied range for both men and woman and they are very proud of their Heritage. I have loved this brand for as long as I can remember now and it is easy to feel succumbed to the natural and sensual aromas of many of their scents and the Polaire sits proudly on show on the centre of my Dresser. I've not yet tried the mens fragrance's yet but would love to as I also love wearing men scents as well as the feminine ones. The Rodium and the 1770 especially catch my eye. Coming up in February 2017, Yardley London have two new scents being uncovered from their range of Fragrances and I was lucky enough to get hold of some to share with you before its release at the end of the month. Today , I want to share with you my thoughts on the Eau De Parfum in the scent Tuscan Rose. What they say about this product - Inspired by climbing roses in a Tuscan courtyard, with rich, seductive floral notes resting on a warm, sensual accord to create the ultimate modern rose experience. Top Notes: White Tea & Mandarin Middle Notes: Tuscan Rose, Jasmine & Gardenia Base Notes: Vetiver, Sandalwood & Vanilla. Ingredients - Alcohol Denat., Aqua, Parfum, Linalool, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Limonene, Hydroxyisohexyl 3-Cyclohexene Carboxaldehyde, Benzyl Salicylate, Citronellol, Geraniol, Coumarin, Benzyl Benzoate, Citral Three friends wanted to create a collection of body, bath and fragrance products to capture their memories of Italy and in 2003 Dipalomo.com was originated. Dipalomo.com have 4 gorgeous scents in their parfum range and here they are-
Available to buy from - Dipaloma.com Cost - £25 for 50ml or £35 for 100ml My thoughts on this Parfum - For me , Rose is a scent that I often associate with as sweet and a little too strong for my liking. Not usually being a fan of the so floral scent, I was pleasantly surprised to find that this is not as over whelming as I thought and I find that once settled onto the skin after a couple of minutes , the essence is soft and gentle . With top notes that include White Tea & Mandarin, along with middle notes of Tuscan Rose, Jasmine & Gardenia, and the base notes of Vetiver, Sandalwood & Vanilla. The scent was inspired by "climbing roses in a Tuscan courtyard" Not only is this wonderful for wearing during the day but I have found that this is most certainly a scent that is appealing for the evenings, especially on a date or night out with someone special due to my noticing that my husband has also enjoyed the scent of this on my skin and for me that is always a great sign. This would certainly be a fantastic treat for Valentines day as it comes well presented inside a lovely pink box . The simplicity yet elegance of the bottle makes it perfect for your dressing table and with the size and shape of the bottle it makes it easy to handle with ease of taking it with you if needed in your handbag. Although the parfum is available in the bigger 100ml bottle , this 50ml bottle will last quite some time as a little really does go a long way and one spritz in the morning will ensure the scent lasts all day ,so you know this is going to be great value for money . I am loving this parfum and looking forward to giving their other scents a try . Not only do they do the parfum, but they also include some gorgeous items such as candles, Fragrance reeds and Liquid soap which I would love to try also .
What do you think of the Di Palomo Eau De Parfum Tuscan Rose, will you be treating someone or even yourself this Valentines day? Follow my blog with Bloglovin< So the postman came last weekend with a very exciting package for me which I had been looking forward to for quite some time. Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream Eau de Toilette Spray! I have recently been wearing the Marc Jacobs Honey which is on of my last year favourites for sure. The most exciting thing I love about the Marc Jacobs perfumes are the amazing bottle designs which even when empty look amazing on the dressing table . I am more about the display rather the scent as I quite like various aromas so a easily pleased. Well I say easily pleased, I have to admit , I am not into very sweet scents, usually I would go into a store and be more excited over the men's scents. Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream Eau de Toilette Spray can be bought from Escentual Cost - £44.20 for 50ml What do they say about Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream Eau de Toilette Spray? With a smile and a wink, the Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream Eau de Toilette invites you to a world of playful charm. The delightful fragrance is almost not of this world, presenting an airy and ethereal new chapter in the story of Marc Jacob’s free-spirited Daisy. Daisy Dream plays its melody of fruity floral notes with a light-hearted feel, bright and joyful but always sophisticated. Daisy Dream opens with an irresistible blend of blackberry and pear, juicy and sweet. In the heart, a blue-tinted bouquet of wisteria and jasmine unfurls beautifully, before a dry down of tropical coconut water provides a touch of the unexpected. Top Notes: Blackberry, Grapefruit, Pear Heart Notes: Jasmine, Lychee, Blue Wisteria Base Notes: White Woods, Musks, Coconut Water In 2006, Jacobs started a new line of body-splash fragrances in affordable huge ten ounce bottles . First only being sold in perfume boutiques, they have become more and more popular during the recent years and now is one of the most loved collections . Marc Jacobs launched Daisy Dream in summer of 2014 as a new variation of the original Daisy fragrance from 2007. Daisy Dream is a more sophisticated and ethereal version of the original. The scent (like the original), is created by perfumer Alberto Morillas, in collaboration with Ann Gottlieb and designer Marc Jacobs himself. The bottle design deviates from the original, also decorated with daisies motives. The fragrance is available in 30, 50 and 100 ml Eau de Toilette with body lotion and shower gel of 150 ml. I also could not resist the amazing Shower gel so have that to. Post coming later so keep an eye out . What do I think (like you really need to ask) ? Packaging- Marc Jacobs is well known for working with amazing brands and artists and has ensured his artistic strike has been empowered into the packaging designs of his scents . Over the past few years we have seen the designs simplify then expand into what can only be described as creative with elegance and sophistication . Daisy Dream has been designed very elegantly , with the light sky blue tones of the perfume which contrasts against the summer white daisy petals, then the added gold touch gives it the sophisticated manner. This truly is a stunning bottle to have on your dresser. Scent- I am very much loving this scent. Daisy Dream is a floral, fruity scent but not over bearing unlike the many other brands I have tried previously. The top notes of mouthwatering blackberry and pear fruits ,shy naturally making it feel very airy , light and dewy. In the heart notes you can catch the aroma of the airy floral Jasmine , I can not seem to smell the Lychee or Blue Wisteria on myself or in the air so much but when the soft and muted base notes of Coconut and woody musk comes through it gives me the feeling of satisfaction and calmness. I do however feel the bottle carries a subtle floral show which is unlike the scent which is a little more pungent than I thought it may have been. My conclusion-
I honestly thought that this scent would be a little more subtle but I still enjoy the fact that surprisingly for me the floral , fruity scent has actually grown on me the more I wear it. It starts of quite strong then leads to a light and airy floral scent . I do find that this perfume fades a lot quicker than my other Marc Jacobs scents which is a little unpleasing but it still leaves a lovely slight scent through out the day just not so pungent for the time I expected. I love the fact this is uplifting and somewhat exotic and the stunning bottle will be kept almost as an art decor piece with pride on my dresser. You know I love the bottle regardless but the inside is what really counts and Ii was definitely not disappointed . This perfume is absolutely divine and it optimises a dream-like scent perfectly. To me this is one of my favourites for sure, funny that the Marc Jacobs line is becoming more appealing to me now , it seems this past year I have come to love them all . Have you tried this yet, will you Yardley launches Yardley Polaire, a new prestige fragrance for women. Polaire was named for the French actress, and is a “modern take” on a floral chypre. Polaire was developed by perfumer Juliette Karagueuzoglou. Ingredients:- Pear, freesia, rose, ginger, pink pepper, patchouli and amber. Alcohol, water, Benzophenone-2, BHT, Butylphenyl methylpropional, Alpha-isomethyl ionone, Citronellol, Coumarin, Geraniol, Linalool, Cl 17200, Cl 42090 £19.99 available from Boots for 50ml Over the years I have come across many perfumes and alot of them I would ever use again becasue the ladies ranges always seem to floral or girly sweet for me. I usually steal some of my husbands Jean Paul Gaultier or 007 James bond scent which I am sure he is well aware of . Lately I have somewhat found my allowance for scents changing and find myself liking alot more than I used to. My favourites at the moment are Marc Jacobs Honey and Diamond by Armani. They are being used alot and I am scared I will use them all before been able to afford a new one . They aint cheap are they? Well today I found one perfume I got last year which I had away originally for someone for a swap box which no longer went along as well as the Givenchy I gave to my sister the other day which she is very impressed with, (I was not keen on the sweetness of that one). Yardley Polaire is a perfume I would have not picked up if it had not been for reading some reviews previously but the price is affordable and I am glad I did. The scent has a modern floral chypre opening with a fresh, fruity, green top note of pear and freesia with a spicy floral heart of rose, ginger and pink pepper and a sensual powdery base of patchouli, amber and balsam. I have always thought of Yardley to be for the older generation but hey am in that generation now or catching up slowely so why not give it ago myself anyway. I think the packaging of their products have always been rather plain and classic looking , I would love to see a different upgrade on their design and colour choices. The bottle however is lovely . A clear glass with Diamond like lid , simple and lovely for the dressing table which is where mine will sit once I get my new room in the new house. I am loving this scent . Although the scent is very sharp when first sprayed it soon settles into a lovely light fragrance of a slight floral powdery smell.
For the price , I think it smells and looks more pricey than it actually is and would definately buy this again. Have you tried this perfume , will you? Who is excited for Summer? Yes , I know its only February , but I really am excited for the sun to come back. Dissapointed the snow did not come at Xmas ,I now hope it stays away and we get some rays. (Mainly because my family will be moving soon and the last time we moved it was icey and a nightmare ). The product we all need (unless you have some amazing glands ), is Anti - perspirant deodorant. Now I have to admit I do not sweat unless I have been running around in the hot summer sun with my little ones or I am on my menstrual cycle but I think it is now habbit to apply every morning after a nice shower even in the coldest of weathers. For the past year I have mainly used the Dove Roll on underarm balm . I think I preferred it to the spray because usually when shaving underarms, then spraying an icey cold blast of scent on them, irritates and feels sensitive. I also find you get more from a roll on (meaning it lasts longer). I never look for the sensitive, invisible dry, collection scents in my choice , I simply grab the original , ordinary deodorant and do not think about unless of course it comes in a lovely gift set which we all receive at special occasions . Dove have brought out the new compressed tins now and I am curious
Packaging:- Dove claim that their Compressed range lasts just as long as previous 150ml Dove deodorants and to be honest with only 25ml difference it is not a huge difference to me and certainly does not make me want to buy it any more or less than the ordinary tins. The branding is clear as are all Dove products and the clean white with green and blue contrasts look just as the previous products do. Simple and straight to the point information telling you what it is, what it does and the short description on how they think it has that extra to other leading brands. This new ‘compressed’ deodorant is proven to last just as long as the regular 150ml can. In addition, the new look aerosols use 25% less aluminium and, due to the smaller size, they are easier to transport resulting in 35% fewer lorries on the roads. The only con I have about the packaging is that terrible blue cap that is shaped rounded , making it hard to remove if your hands are wet or unable to grip well. Dove - 48hr protection Anti- Perspirant Deodorant . Scent:- I have always liked the scent of Dove , the fresh linen smell leaves you feeling clean and fresh . It is a lovely feminine smell which lightly lingers all day without the overpowering scent of the usual talc powder you would get form other brands. Price:- The price is always great with Dove and can be bought for a reasonable price in most stores and currently in Boots they are only £1.83 . Dove Compressed is most definately affordable for everyone . We always have this perception on ''Bigger is better'', and I think the Dove compressed proves us all wrong. It makes more sense to me that when using the Normal aerosol ,we tend to use more and feel more on our skin when spraying. The can is releasing more pressure which means we are using more gas than product and compressing the product into a smaller tin leaving less space for gas pressure is definately better for us (we get more product on our skin) and for the ozone (less gases released). Using the Product:-
I have found in fact this compressed Dove product has had a drastic change to my thoughts on aerosols.
When using aerosols, I find that cold sudden blast on a sensitive underarm over whelming but the New Dove deodorant has none of that. The scent is gently dispursed from the can and gently settles into my skin. It does not leave that powdery mark on my skin or clothes and I feel fresh all day . Having no alcohol and contains 1/4 moisturising milk makes it gentle on your underarms. Overall I love the new product and have definately been converted to the friendlier aerosol. Have you tried this product, will you be making a purchase soon? |
