Makeup free , I only have lip conditioner on.
This is me with my makeup on.
Over the past month I have many requests from you all asking me what products I use and how I to get my clear skin and makeup looking flawless.

My skin routine:-
There are soo many reflections on what is right and what is wrong and to be honest I think everyones skin is different and there is no right answer to keeping your skin looking flawless but there are ways of helping  it to look its best so this is basically what works for my skin.
My skin is not sensitive and is not dry and I think the routine that I have maintained over the forever years that I can remember has helped me .

Morning :-
  • Soon as I wake , I dampen my face with luke warm water , I then use a Gentle face cleanser (never soap) and rinse with cold water, (using hot steaming water can strip your skin of its natural oils leaving it dry in my opinion and when I attempt a hot steam face wash I end up with dry patches around my T-Zone area) . I use Pai camellia and rose Gentle hydrating cleanser - www.paiskincare.com - 100ml - £25. Once a week I will use an exfoliant  - Champneys Face polish - 100ml - £4.67.
  • Once my face is dry I then mist on my face The Caudalie Beauty Elixir - www.naturisimo.com - 30ml - £11.50 , (currently have a limited edition bottle for sale). This can be also be used anytime during the day but once is enough for me .
  • Once the Caudalie is dry , I then apply a good moisturiser and my latest favourite is one I reviewed recently  - Racinne ultimate defense illuminating cream - www.racinne.co.uk - 50g - £35. It protects and hydrates my skin leaving me ready for the day ahead.
  • If I am wearing makeup I will use a good primer . I have found that Collection primed and ready is as good as others I have tried - www.superdrug.com/collection - 10ml - £3.99 or using NO7 BB cream - £12.95 in the summer to give you the protection if you are not wearing makeup .

Night time :-

  • I use wipes on a night time for removing my eye makeup . Halo Wipes from tesco or superdrug are great - 30 pads - £1.50 then use the Pai cleanser to remove the other dirt on my face and neck.
  • I then use the Racinne cream to moisturise my face .

There are days when I just do not feel like wearing makeup and I think it is important to give your skin a break from wearing it , especially if you wear it alot or daily .Giving your skin a daily cleanse and moisturising only on as many days possible will help keep away the clogging of pours and breakouts. It is definately something I have never had to worry about using this method. Even on those terrible monthly cycles where you know its inevitable, looking after your skin and taking 10 minutes on a morning and night to keep it clean and hydrated helps your skin alot.

  • Is there anything you use different ?
  • Do you tend to forget to cleanse or moisturise?
  • Will you be purchasing or trying any of these products ?
  • How is your routine different?

Let me know , I am interested to hear from you.

I never use face wipes, they really dry my skin out but I really want to try that Caudalie stuff!

You are an inspiration in regards to routine, I am so bad at looking after my skin. I use a facial wash and moiturise in the morning and take off my make-up at night... but nothing else. I wish I did because I know I will see the effects when I am older.

Also I need to invest in a good primer... such bad habits I have!

Georgie xx
