From luxe metallics to the new must try textures, I have next season's trends nailed right here!
In the nude!
A barely there skin coloured nail was the epitome of luxe on the winter catwalk this year. It is all about subtle so only one coat should have you looking great. Choose a nude, beige with a polished finish.
On the other side of Autumn/winter colour spectrum are fab fluoros. Electrictrify your fingertips in every shade from neon fuchsia to zingy yellow. A colour pop nail knocks years off. Make neon colours pop by adding white polish underneath the colour to enhance the colour.
Bling it up!
Bedazzling your tips is going to be the height of next season but instead of taking forever perfecting the luxurious glam look, try ready stick on nail wraps instead.
With emerald being the official Pantone colour of the year, it is no wonder that greens are set to be major news in the coming months.
Make the gradient!
Ombre hair has been the big thing this year and its no surprise that its hitting the finger tips too. Use two (or three colours if your feeling creative), apply the pale shade x2 shades then add a darker shade to the tip and (only a small amount,) and blend down using a cosmetic sponge.
From star like silvers to rich golds, nails that look like they have literally been dipped in a molten metal is the must have look. This is best suited to shorter nails, but can be worn on longer also .
OMG! For those who know me well, your sure to know I am a lover of glitter polishes and I am delighted to find the glitter polish is making a comback, now my favourite at the moment is OPI Polka.com. Its not all about the full nail been covered in glitter but using it sparingly to the tips is a hit this year.
This time last year I was decorating my fingertips in spots of all neons and this year is no exception, get creative by coating your nails in two coats of base colour (white is hot this year for the base) and dab away with a small dotting tool of all colours bright .
Get the gloss!
Polished nails are always a great look. High shine nails appear healthy and well kept. Try a gel polish without having to go for that manicure and using that UV lamp.
Put your jeans on your nails!
So we have tried concrete, metal, feather and leather effects, so why not Denim? Thats right next season is your time to grab ya denim and Barry M (one of my favourite brands) have the perfect nail paint in Denim for only £2.99.
