Using body creams has become a ritual for me now .
In the previous years I took advantage of my youthful skin and become a little lazy at using one but hitting my 30's I came to realise it does not last forever and my skin has become somewhat aged a little , dry in areas and the routine to my whole skin care has had to change dramatically.

This is where I show you a Body cream I have been using for the past month -

''Aromatherapy Associates Renewing Rose Body Cream''

The Renewing Rose Body Cream can be bought from Aromatherapyassociates.com

Cost - £35 for a 200ml

Not only am I pretty new to body creams but I have found I can be quite fussy to.
I like creams to be thick in texture as I have realised my skin is very thirsty and the aroma of the product plays the biggest role in me buying them.
I hate any strong scent that are too overpowering.
Subtle and heavenly and thick is all I ask but it is not as easy as it sounds to find the perfect one.

I have heard a lot of good things about this brand .

Free from harsh chemicals and unnecessary synthetics.
In their BATH, BODY and SKINCARE they do not use-
  • Mineral or sulphonated oils which can block the performance of the essential oils
  • GM ingredients
  • Sodium Lauryl Sulphate (SLS)
  • Petrolatum
  • Propylene Glycol
  • Parabens
  • Ingredients that have been tested on animals
  • Animal derivatives, except for silk and beeswax, which are animal by-products
  • Synthetic colours or fragrance

Against animal testing-
Since its inception 30 years ago, Aromatherapy Associates has never tested any of its ingredients or finished products on animals.
They are against any animal cruelty in the cosmetic industry.

The packaging is simple and comes in a lovely gifted box which would be ideal for a gift to any woman young or elder , the product itself is produced in a white squeezing tub with the gold Aromatherapy Associates label and Rose coloured description and name of product.
The flop top lid makes it easy to use with one hand and is sturdy enough not to snap off .

There is not much labelling which I like , easy to read and follow , minimal indeed.

The scent is a rather strong sandalwood scent which was something I was not expecting as originally I thought it would smell of rose water .
I am not overly keen on it to be honest, it seems too strong for my liking and I would have preferred it to have the scent like the Gel which is a little more subtle .

The aroma does settle after a while but for me it still seems overpowering.

The product itself however is something else.
Considering I prefer a thick texture in my creams this product has actually soaked into my skin well even with its buttery feel and left my skin feeling amazingly soft and smooth.

I have found I do not need a lot of the product to get the effect of moisture on my hands which is fantastic considering it is quite pricey and I want it to last for a while .

You know yourself when you rub your hands over your skin and hear that dryness and I can tell the difference in sound as I do so.

It feels like such a treat to have this on my skin and I love how nourished my skin feels .

I think if the scent was changed slightly , it would be a little more appealing but the cream itself is lovely and does just what it says it will.

If you have dry skin then I would recommend this but if you do not like strong scents then stay clear .
