It is February and to be honest I am sick to death of this cold and miserable weather, where is the sun? . My skin is struggling terribly, it is very dry and being very pale I look really ill with it. Something simply had to be done over the weekend, so I gave myself a pampering and decided to add a little colour onto my skin. The problem is, I actually hate the fact that tanning products seem to smell of that fake chemical and can sometimes make you look a little orange and in the cold winter months you can spot the fake tanners a mile of . Over the past year , I think the tanning mousse seem to have come a long way, I have found them so easy to apply and the formulas have become fantastic to the point that there is no yellow or orange tones in the tan giving you a natural look. Where to buy - Diamonds On Demand Cost - £16 Who are Diamonds On Demand? Diamonds on Demand are the Official Company Of Diamond Microdermabrasion & The Best Selling 2 Hour Tan! What they say about the product - Tan On Demand 2 Hour Tanning Mousse gives you a natural looking sexy tan in minutes. This salon inspired formula gives instant colour whilst developing over 8 hours but can be washed off after. 2 hours = Light 3 Hours = Medium 4 Hours = Dark So you choose the depth of tan.The colour guide technology ensures an easy streak free application every time meaning no more stained bed sheets or sleeping in your tan. It contains no parabens or alcohol and lasts for 5-7 days. Ingredients - My thoughts - My first impressions of the 2 hour tan is that it has a familiar bottle, the push nozzle which lets out a lovely frothy mousse. The mousse looks a lot lighter than other tanning mousse I have used before and also has a lovely Almond scent which stays on the skin afterwards , in fact I could still smell it the next day. The mousse is smooth to apply but I do feel I had a little texture issue with application. I was OK applying it at first but as I continued to apply the tanning mousse in a circular motion onto my previously cleansed and exfoliated skin, I found that the mixture started to form somewhat of a very thin cream like substance which made it a little harder to apply, I really can not describe it but it was not something I was used to with tanning mousse . I found that the product dried very quickly into the skin, I did not have to wait around for a few minutes before adding my clothing and carrying on with my normal routine. After only 2 hours I took a peak at the result of the developed shade and was pleasantly surprised (although having some difficulty with the texture during application) that the tan was left streak free and a lovely natural shade. To be honest I actually find the product quite pricey and being more expensive than my trusted self tanning mousse I would be unsure of wearing this in the summer due to the fact it did not go dark enough for my liking but for the winter months where I am looking for a lighter shade , one that has a more natural shade , this is perfect as it has no orange tone to it. I think this is a product that is more appealing to those of a paler skin tone, those who have paler skin would be more suited to this product because of its very light shade. What do you think of tanning mousse , is it your preferred application style ?

I'm very bad at applying self tan. I manage to get streaks in it and generally make a mess! This looks good for pale skin like mine though. I love the smell of almonds.

have you tried using the mitt, i used to be the same but using the mitt makes it merely impossible to get those horrid streaks x

The orange 'tint' is what generally puts me off of fake tan but this looks great and I like that it's quite subtle...and the almond smell is a bonus!

I am a frequent user of this tan and i absolutely love it! i am naturally quite olive skinned so with mine i usually leave it 4 hours to develop which gives me a really dark tan, or i even sleep in it and wash it off in the morning! Love how it doesnt leave any streaks too!

this would be agreat starter then , you can see it gradually build iin shade, and the longer you leave it the darker it gets so its up to you what shade you want to go x

i was the same and it was only last summer i actually gave it a real chance, i find using the mitt helps immensly, and ensure you leave a full day before applying another coat to ensure the colour has settled and in some cases become darker which is why some make the mistake of getting that orange look or too dark to look natural look, for me , I always find just one application does it , a natural look without looking fake x

I am naturally very pale and have never played with fake tans as worry about it looking an odd shade on me - but perhaps this would be a good one to start with as it is subtle!
