Dr Paw Paw - My new Holy Grail Balms.

The cold weather has been a nightmare for my skin , I received lip balms and creams and all
sorts of protection products for my skin as gifts but nothing seems to be doing any good for my lips which have become drastically dry and tight and now over the past few weeks very sore indeed.
Luckily for me, I recently found out that we were moving home which made me go on a made clean up session of my bedroom resulting in me finding all sorts of other goodies that had been put away for review or bought around the Christmas period and so you can clearly imagine my delight when I found these three beauties.

Now it was not that long ago that I actually told you about the Original Dr Paw Paw and I remember being so impressed with it that I tweeted them telling them how fantastic it was making my skin feel that they then decided to send me the other two in their collection.

Here are the ingredients-

Original -
PETROLATUM, ALOE BARBADENIS LEAF JUICE, OLEA EUROPEAEA (OLIVE) FRUIT OIL, CARICA PAPAYA (FERMENTED PAWPAW), POTASSIUM SORBATE.

Peach-
PETROLATUM, ALOE BARBADENIS LEAF JUICE, OLEA EUROPEAEA (OLIVE) FRUIT OIL, CARICA PAPAYA (FERMENTED PAWPAW), POTASSIUM SORBATE, CI 45410 (D&C RED 27)

Red-
PETROLATUM, ALOE BARBADENIS LEAF JUICE, OLEA EUROPEAEA (OLIVE) FRUIT OIL, CARICA PAPAYA (FERMENTED PAWPAW), POTASSIUM SORBATE, CI 16035 (F&DC RED 40)

So the reason I am bringing these back into my blog is because I have found that they have become my whole new Holy Grail lip balm product .
So if you read the previous blog , you may remember that these balms are a multipurpose balm used for

  • Lips
  • Skin
  • Cuticles
  • Nails
  • Hair
  • And as I like to use sometimes in the winter when I have dry skin , A Primer.

This multipurpose soothing balm is enriched with natural fermented PawPaw and comes in a 25ml squeezy tube for only £6.95.

Dr Paw Paw is available from many stores including Harvey Nicols, Lloyds Phamacy and also DrPawPaw.com as well as many more .

The balms come in three different variations -

  • Yellow - Original Balm
  • Peach - Tinted Peach Pink Balm
  • Red - Tinted Ultimate Red Balm

For some strange reason the tubes are all different sizes although all contain the same amount of product which is strange but they do look lovely on the dresser .

You can buy all three together as a set for the price of £13.90 here and if you know someone who loves their beauty products are just in fact in need of amazingly soft and smooth skin then this would be a lovely treat .

The original balm is great for all over the body but for me all of these products are perfect for the lips which is what I have been using them for lately , the tints are very faint but do exactly the same with a little bit of colouring .
The texture is so thick  especially the peach , in fact it is so thick that it is a struggle to get out of the tube sometimes if left in a cold area but I usually roll the tube in between my palms to warm it a little and loosen it a bit.
These are my love of the month for sure and you only need a small amount to cover the lips which means they last a very long time .

So what do you think, what's your thoughts on multi  purpose balms ?

Thanks for the insight! I love the bottle designs. They would look lovely out on display. I think I'll give the peach a go, the thickness sounds perfect as I've tried runnier lip balm oils which seem to just disappear instantly! xx

I discovered these balms a few years ago. They really are multipurpose - apparently you can even use them as nappy and nipple balms! I've never tried that, because I'm not a big fan of petrolatum on babies, but they are good if you need a bit of a pick me up in the cuticles. Great post. These balms last forever too, so I'm sure you'll be enjoying them for a long time, especially now you've the three!

I find i need to be careful with balms as some dry out my lips rather than hydrate. The more expensive ones seem better.
