About Kissglove- Kissglove's founder was born and raised in the UK and like most of us has the understanding of the importance and benefits of exfoliating . We sometimes grow watching our mother or father and following their beauty routine like washing and so on and the founders mother is no exception as they watched their mother's weekly bathing ritual. Kissglove say that one of the most important Moroccan traditions that her mother passed down to her, was indulging in a weekly hammam bath (steam bath). Sounds lovely doesn't it? A 'kiss' which is the Moroccan word given to an exfoliating glove, is used to rejuvenate the skin by visibly removing dead skin cells. Exfoliation involves the removal of the oldest dead skin cells on the skin's surface and this has been used for many years to help maintain healthy skin. Our skin is the largest organism that we have and it is the one thing that is visible to us daily . We take advantage of it sometimes and I for one have only recently understood that there are many ways to make your skin look younger and healthier with some little care and attention. Exfoliating your skin at least once a week can be one of the most effective ways to help you achieve a fresher and healthier look . Over time, cells migrate to the surface of the skin and become more acidic. It takes only 30 days for the skin cells to die and then become saturated in Keratin. We know Keratin is good and protects our skin but , your skin can become hard and dry afterwards and that is how the ageing process takes its toll, making you look older. By removing your old dead skin cells , you can achieve even skin tones and a healthy glow to your completion . This can also stop the process of ageing and breakouts or acne which we all will come to terms with at some point in our lives. This is where the founder of Kissglove realised that those who used the exfoliating method for centuries by both men and women in Morocco to rejuvenate and revitalise the skin needed something more. ''The Kissglove was born'' Kissglove say that understand that glowing skin is a fundamental part of looking fabulous. There is no secret to achieving this. With the Kissglove, anyone can experience the true benefits of deep exfoliation. Kissglove can be bought for £11.50 from Kissglove.com What Kissglove have to say about their product - VISIBLE RESULTS - Visibly removes dead skin cells from the surface of the skin - Removes tan build up and smoothes the skin in preparation for fresh applications - Removes & prevents ingrown hairs - Eradicates keratosis pilaris (skin bumps) - Improves uneven, dull & dry skin texture - Stimulates collagen giving you younger, fresher, brighter skin - Improves circulation reducing the appearance of cellulite - As you vigorously rub your skin, feel energised as you massage away fatigue. Material - Viscose Viscose is a solution of cellulose xanthate (salt) made by treating a cellulose compound with sodium hydroxide (salt) and carbon disulfide (colourless liquid). Byproducts (a secondary product derived from a chemical reaction)include sodium thiocarbonate (crystallin compound soluble in cold water and-decomposed by hot water) , sodium carbonate (sodium salt of carbonic acid), , and sodium sulfide (colourless water sulable salt) The viscose solution is used to spin the fiber viscose rayon, or rayon, a soft man-made fiber commonly used in outer wear. It is also used in industrial yarns (tyre cord), upholstery and carpets and is one of the oldest man made textiles. Directions- How To Exfoliate With A Kissglove in 3 simple steps! First thing is that you should not use the kissglove on areas of the body where the skin is broken or irritated. It is not recommended for the use on the face and not recommended for use on young children. So how easy is it and how do I use it? 1. Soak your body in a warm or hot if you like it hot bath or allow hot water to cascade over you in the shower for around 5 minutes to let the steam warm your skin and open up your pores. Try not to add any chemicals, salts, bubble bath or oils to your water , you only need fresh clean water to make the most of the exfoliation process. 2. Wet the Kissglove and squeeze out the excess water. Make yourself safe and prop yourself up from out of the water ensuring no water is running on the area you wish to work on. Use a small amount of pressure onto the skin whilst using long circular movements ,enough pressure to see dead skin cells emerge and roll away. 3. Repeat this action on all parts of the body avoiding the face. Rinse well and then you can finish with your favourite shower product as normal. Kissglove is not to be used with any products , such as soaps or gels as the material will not give the effect that is needed with a lather. Clean and wrinse off the glove and hang on your shower to be used for your next weekly exfoliation process. What I have to say about Kissglove - So after Kissglove asked me to review for them , I immediately knew that nothing but good could come from trying this product and happily said yes. I seem to be spending a fortune on body scrubs and trying products that exfoliate my skin and so being able to try this product, knowing I need nothing but water and this glove , makes me feel like I am going to be saving myself quit a few extra pounds in the next 6 months (which is how long the glove is meant to be used for before renewal).
Packaging - First thing I have noticed about the Kissglove is the cardboard box. I love that it is packaged in a recyclable box . There is nothing worse than having bulky plastic covered product for something like this . The greyish colouring of the box is a little dull for my liking and I do think a nice Moroccan shade like their flag red or green would have made this stand out , but the mustard yellow signing is quite quirky and I like that . You get the information you need about the product and it is easy to understand what the product you are buying is all about before seeing it which is another plus for me . The Kissglove itself - The Kissglove is eye catching. It is black with a bright yellow trim and writing with a little handy fibre hook to hang it in the shower . I can scrumple the glove to fit in my palm , so I know no space will be taken up in my overcrowded bathroom with this . The glove itself is made Viscose but the hand entrance to the glove is elastic so it stretches to fit both small and large hands. I have very small hands and it was a comfortable fit whereas my husband has very large hands and still found space in the glove , so to me this would fit most people unless you have extremely larger than large hands. How easy is it to use? - You simply put your hand in the entrance (just like you would normally put on a glove except this has no finger seperations) and then exfoliate your body . There is no hard instruction to using this, its basically finding your own method to get the effect you desire by simply running the glove over your skin to remove dead skin cells. Very easy , anyone can do this. So what are my results?- So before trying this , I decided now would be a good time to exfoliate due to the summer days coming up and needing to self tan. Self tan is something I need to do each year due to my skin having no sun exposure and I wished for a nice self tanning product (which I have reviewed here ) that gave me a natural looking tan , but a lot of the times , I find they streak due to dry skin cells and patchy areas due to non exfoliation. The Kissglove was used before I applied which helped immensly in the end result and I am happy knowing my skin has been rejuvenated. You can see skin cells coming away with no excess srubbing or force and without using chemicals or scrubbing polishes or gels to achieve it. Overall this product does exactly what it is meant to do and so easy and effective to use that I would recommend this for those who like to exfoliate and have fresh , new looking healthy skin . The glove is very well made and I have found no failure in the quality made glove . I have pulled and stretched it as hard as I could, scrubbed as hard as I could and the glove is still in tact as it was when I first pulled it from the box it came in . So for those who wish to save a penny or two in buying exfoliating products, I would say give this a try first . Do you exfoliate, what do you use to cleanse and rejuvenate your skin , will you use the Kissglove?

Looks like a great product although i rarely incorporate exfoliating in to my beauty routine. I just don't get the time these days, i'm lucky if i can manage a 5 minute shower or trip to the toilet alone without two little terrors harassing me lol! xxx

Exfoliating is one of those things that is constantly on my 'to do' list - I know I should, I know it'll only take a couple of extra minutes in the shower - and I never, ever seem to manage it!

To be honest I don't have time for anything more than washing my face and moisturising so no, I wouldn't use it I'm afraid. Good review though!

It's really great when a product does exactly what it states - too many times ice purchased things that have been a big fat flop!

I never knew that exfoliation could slow down the ageing process! I use a cleansing scrub every day, which also exfoliates. I'm pretty happy with it, but I'd also consider using this Kissglove.

Great review :) I don't exfoliate even though I know I should and I'll probably regret it in years to come!
