This time around , Sunkissed have come up with a new double sided application mitt which promises to make tanning a little easier without the need for swapping or fidgeting about trying to get the right side of the mitt in place.
The new Mitt has a patented barrier technology which prevents the product from leaking through to your hands .

I have to be honest in saying I never actually had a problem with the other Sunkissed mitt , in fact I loved the soft fleece side to it .

The new mitt has that full foam look and the inside feels very much more protected so I can see that the tan will not get through onto my skin.
I can feel the added barrier .

Just like any other tanning regime, I add the Tanning mousse straight onto the mitt then onto the skin , this way I have no need to touch the tanning product at all .
The mitt does not leak at all and my hands are left clear of any product , just as needed the only place I see tan is on my legs where I applied it .

First of all let me show how lilly white my legs are.
They are a lovely shade of milk but being summer (although no sign of sunshine yet) , I do need a little colour .

I need to add that I always exfoliate and shave beforehand and in this case it was two whole days . I do not moisturise but if you suffer with dry skin then I would recommend dabbing a little on those areas before placing the tan on.

I am not sure if it is just the fact I felt a little bendy while applying, but for me I only needed to use one side of the mitt which defeats the whole object really but I suppose if I was in a hurry or unable to twist my arm so much I would see why it is needed.

No matter how much product was applied , the mitt still held that barrier and I was able to build the tan up with no problems at all.

For the purpose of this post, I wanted to share with you how the application finished from start to finish and so I only applied one one layer.

Just as expected the tan went on streak free. 
The change in mitt has not made the mitt defect in any way and In my opinion makes the mitt easier to clean afterwards as I can see clearly where it has been washed .

If you hand clean the mitt straight afterwards with soap and warm water , it will come up just as new and able to be reused again at a later date when needed.

My conclusion on this new Double Sided Application Mitt is that for me it is unnecessary as I do not need both sides but would be prefect for those who like to hurry their application as it makes tanning a lot quicker .
Using it is simple and easy and it does exactly what it says so you do not need to worry about excess tanning product leaking onto your skin.
The price is a little more than I would like but considering the Tanning product itself is a bargain you would still save money buying them as a pair .
Having the soft material against the skin makes it silky to use and does not snag or irritate the skin either this helps smooth the product on evenly.
I will be using this mitt as often as I tan . I am very pleased with the outcome .
