I have been telling you recently that the one thing I forget to use on my face is toner and now I can honestly tell you that things have changed. For the past couple of weeks, I have been using a new skin care range which I thought you may be interested in. Safa They sent me two products to try out
So who are Safa? Safa are a UK based brand who are based in Manchester . Safa believe in using only natural products and they are Organic, Vegan and even Halal certified. Their are no chemicals or nasties to be found in their products so only the kindest of ingredients will be used to ensure no damage is going to be done to your skin, leaving it fresh and unharmed . I have very sensitive skin which only seems to happen during the winter months, my skin becomes very dry and tight and eventually sore so during the winter , I have to pay special attention to my face , trying not to irritate it with chemicals and protect it against reoccurring irritations. Safa ensure that all of their products are organic and Halal and all of the products combine essential oils with organic extracts to produce quality and purpose with the two clear messages of Organic and Halal approval to confirm the true value of the products. They also believe that their key identity is the belief that true beauty and the purity in life comes from nature and its creator, whoever you believe the creator to be. Organic and Pure, they already had me wanting more. First of all , I want to share with you my honest opinions so first up I will talk about the Facial Toner- What the toner does - Safa facial toner is specially formulated with cucumber , aloe and green tea extracts to gently revitalise your skin and allow it to breath easier. It will lift away the remaining traces of dirt and makeup helping your skin to look and feel younger. Ingredients- AQUA, HAMAMELIS VIRGINIANA LEAF WATER, CAMELLIA SINENSIS LEAF EXTRACT, CUCUMIS SATIVUS FRUIT EXTRACT, POTASSIUM SORBATE, SODIUM BENZOATE, ALOE BARBADENSIS LEAF JUICE POWDER, CITRIC ACID, ASCORBIC ACID, GLYCERIN Directions - Apply to cotton wool and sweep gently over the face and neck area. Take special care on age- prone and sensitive areas. Allow drying and follow with Safa Daily moisturiser. My thoughts- My first impressions was that the toner had that discoloured water tone to it , now that is not a bad thing , least we know it is natural right? The scent was very organic like , some times I am not a fan of strong smelling natural scents in products like this but it was not strong and It was quite pleasant compared to other products . For me the toner is needed on my forehead mostly, I have those lines that seem to appear more as I grow with age , only faint but visible to me enough to make me wary, I did not see a difference with reduction in them after one week but maybe if Ii keep trying it , it will help a little more. The Facial toner was easy to apply though and it did leave my skin feeling very fresh and clean and once it dried into my skin (which did not take long with my thirsty cells) it left my skin feeling very smooth . I was worried that this toner would leave my skin feeling dry , too tight and irritated but in fact even with my sensitive winter skin , it has done the opposite. My skin felt eased . The dry skin on my forehead and around the nose area have appeared to repair which I am very pleased about after using this product which makes my applying my makeup a lot flawless. The next thing I tried was the Daily Moisturiser. What the Daily Moisturiser does- Safa Daily Moisturiser is specially formulated with organic Shea Butter , Argan Oil and Borage Seed Oil to lightly keep your skin replenished and hydrated. After application , your skin will feel soft and look regenerated . Ingredients- AQUA, CETEARYL GLUCOSIDE, BUTYROSPERMUM PARKII BUTTER , COCUS NUCIFERA OIL, CETEARYL ALCOHOL, GLYCERYL STEARATE, ARGANIA SPINOSA KERNEL OIL, BORAGO OFFICINALIS SEED OIL, XANTHAN GUM, LAVANDULA ANGUSTIFOLIA OIL, POTASSIUM SORBATE, SODIUM BENZOATE, ALOE BARBADENSIS LEAF JUICE POWDER Directions- Smooth gently onto your face and neck area using an upwards and outward motion taking special care on age-prone areas. Ideally use in the morning before makeup. My thoughts- Now I have to admit , this is my favourite of the two products. creams for me have to be thick in texture, I hate nothing more than milk like , think creams, my skin hates them and in fact feel even more irritated than with a nice thick cream. This daily moisturiser is not thin , it is more in between , heading towards a thick cream but not quite there but for the face it is. The cream glides on the skin easily , the only thing I am not keen on is the stronger organic scent this has compared to the Facial Toner . I have to be honest in the fact I do not like heavily scented products on my face unless it is fruity and fresh but the cream soaks in quickly to my skin and the aroma softens quickly. I have been using this for a week now , my skin is feeling so smooth and dry areas which I have struggled with for years has in fact reduced . In the summer my skin is very oily and I do think this is going to be just as good for my skin then too as it leaves no oily residue or excess. I love this cream and having been certified by the Muslims board for Halal , I would be sure that my friend, next door neighbour would be greatful for this . This moisturiser gives a lovely glow to my face without making it look oily . For me , finding a face care range that is organic and natural , always gives me that little bit more satisfaction in using.
I would love to know if you would try this product or have done and what your thoughts are on it.
