Good evening everyone , hope your day is as lovely as mine so far. I merely wanted to just pop by and share with you a wonderful little gem that appeared in my post this morning sent by the gorgeous Shannon from RasberryKiss.co.uk . At the beginning of December the lovely lady held a competition on her blog and being a fan of Dragonflies and of course jewellery, entered and was lucky enough to win at Christmas when the competition ended. I basically just wanted to say a huge thank you to Shannon for sending me this lovely pendant , its gorgeous. As you can see from the pictures, this antique bronze looking pendant is absolutely gorgeous with the Turqouise stone in the body of the dragonfly . It is a stone of protection, strong and opaque, yet soothing to the touch and healing to the eye. Turqouise is the birthstone of December , so was quite the fitting to Shannon's timeing of giving this away and in fact if I were born a little later it would have been my birthing stone also. The two eyes of the Dragonfly are set with two clear diamante style gems which give the Dragonfly a sense of character and light. This dainty Dragonfly hangs from a sturdy matching chain which is also of zink alloy and denotes a link chain style which has a lobster like claspe and is a perfect accessory to my everyday wear. So this is my little surprise of the day , what do you think is the meaning of Dragonflies and this piece , would you wear it ?

Very pretty necklace. Turquoise is a great talisman, it is supposed to bring happiness and peace.
