John Frieda has always been a great Hair brand I love and trust . Being affordable and easy to purchase from many stores makes it easy to get hold of and I for one have used their shampoos and conditioners for many years. I always get so many people complimenting on my hair, how thick and healthy it looks and I always tell them this is the brand that achieves my look. I have just finished my last set of the shampoo and conditioner and have to say as always I am impressed but there is still one problem. Nothing I have tried yet helps my thick hair look sleek and the frizz just gets out of hand, even when I straighten it and after spending an hour styling my hair for over an hour , I walk out of the house and woosh, my hair turns into a fuzz ball. Last week , I got two bottles of this - John Frieda - Frizz Ease Nourishing oil Elixir You can purchase this from Boots for the price of £9.99 and comes in 100ml size . What John Frieda says about Frizz Ease Oil Elixir -
Ingredients - CYCLOPENTASILOXANE, DIMETHICONOL, DIMETHICONE, BIS-HYDROXY/METHOXY AMODIMETHICONE, FRAGRANCE, ARGANIA SPINOSA KERNEL OIL. How to use - Dispense 1 pump of Frizz Ease Oil into palm. Rub hands together and work through wet or dry hair to smooth frizz. Avoid applying directly to roots. Do not rinse out. Style as desired. Works as a great mixer to form your favorite product cocktail. First, dispense 1 pump of Oil into palm. Then, add Frizz-Ease Mousse or Gel, mix together and smooth through damp hair. What I have to say about the product - With the recent Argon Oil craze , I could not help wonder why everyone was going so mad about . Argan oil is a plant oil produced from the kernels of the argan tree (Argania spinosa L.) that is endemic to Morocco. It is used for nutritive and cosmetic properties. In cosmetics, argan oil is advocated as moisturizing oil, against juvenile acne and flaking of the skin as well as for nourishing the hair. This oil has also medicinal uses against rheumatism and the healing of burns ... Externally, argan oil is used ... for hair as brilliantine, to fortify and ... in the treatment of wrinkled or scaly dry skin. Sounds fabulous doesn't it ....... Well this ingredient is one of the main ingredients of the John Frieda Frizz Ease Oil Elixir and I for one feel my hair is always needing nourishment but as an oil I was weary of it making my hair look oily as some elixirs do.
The packaging - This easy to use pump action bottle is not the most attractive of hair products I have used, but the plastic container is easy to hold , although with it being oil in the bottle I feel it is easily able to make harder to use due to slippiness if a second dose is needed . Maybe putting a grip to the pump button and the sides of the bottle will ensure this would not happen as for me , I have long thick hair and needed to reapply a second dose to ensure the product reached all areas. I did not want to add to much to my hair on the first time using ,so one squirt of it seemed sufficient enabling me to know how much was needed. For me ,I needed two pumps and the bottle got a little slippy when I went back for the second , making it harder for me to use. I love the fact that the pump reaches the bottom of the bottle and I am able to use the full product, I hate waste so knowing I am paying for a product that can be used fully is a good thing for me and I am sure you too. The price - For me £9.99 is a little steep for my liking but I do appreciate that the ingredient of ARGANIA SPINOSA KERNEL OIL is included and so paying a little is ok when natural ingredients are added. My result - It says to apply to damp or dry hair but with my hair being so thick , it is easy to look greasy and so I used it when damp therefore allowing it to soak and dry into my hair naturally without looking like ithad just been used to slick down the fuzz. Once my hair dried I noticed no frizz whatsoever and infact did not need to even straighten my hair to hide any stray hairs . My hair looked lovely with a natural curl and no frizz. As well as this product leaving my hair frizz free, I also love how soft and shiney it makes my hair look, my hair feels and looks healthy and I am rather impressed, maybe questionable as to if it is the Argon oil that is helping . After applying , although my hair looks soft, feels soft and none greasy, my hands do feel a little greasy and I had to wash the excess of . If you suffer with frizzy or dull hair then I would definitely recommend this to you . I for one love this product . Have you tried this or anything similar?

I heard that this product was great for those with dry hair. Mine is straight and fine so it's not suitable but John Frieda have brilliant products in general.

Thankyou , I have been complaining lately of my camera being terrible for taking pictures indoors so the natural lighting outside in the garden in the summer is perfect for clear pictures of products , Ii had a nice surprise this afternoon though, my husband has only gone and bought me abrand new camera , its my first professional camera that has been bought for me so I am soo excited to start playing with it tomorrow hoping it has better results like this for indoors too x

Oils are great as they go into the hair unlike conditioner which sits on the top, great stuff!

I need to try this! I get awful frizzy hair and always end up having to straight it which then turns frizzy again. I always kept away from these as, like you said, i thought it would leave my hair looking oily or greasy but i love your review and going to try it out :) x
