My hair is one of my most important features, on the days where I do not feel like putting makeup on or wearing something pretty , just having soft shiny , healthy looking hair changes my whole appearance. The one problem I have suffered with for almost as long as I can remember is the weakness in my hair and the irritation of the scalp which usually comes with weather change. For the past week I have been using Dabur Vatika Naturals . I am not sure what happened but I was using the Kerastase Elixir Ultimate and I was loving how soft my hair was feeling after ,but the other week I went out shopping and my scalp felt so sore and irritated after using it. I had used it beforehand many times and loved how it was making my hair feel but for some reason my scalp was starting to become irritated , flakey and suffering . I spent the whole day not being able to touch my scalp , it felt really sore and I could not deal with the pain any longer. Needless to say , I had to stop using it and look for another shampoo to replace it. A couple of weeks a go , Dabur Vatika Naturals on Twitter offered me a try of their brand and I gladly accepted. These are the products they sent me - The Almond Enriched Hair Oil- £4.49 Available from Superdrug What they say about their Hair Oil- Give your crowning glory oodles of style and appeal with Dabur's latest natural wonder Vatika Enriched Almond Hair Oil. Packed with the nourishment of almond and the power of nature's treasured herbs like hibiscus, olive & muskroot, Vatika Enriched Almond Hair Oil is the perfect remedy for all your hair woes. As compared to ordinary almond hair oils, Vatika Enriched Almond Hair Oil has superior nourishment properties that make your hair 2X stronger and 30% thicker. It also fights dandruff with its two active natural ingredients and keeps your hair smooth & silky. Ingredients- Paraffinum Liquidum (Mineral Oil), Canola Oil, Elaeis Guineensis Oil, Sesamum Indicum Oil, Olea Europea Fruit Oil, Phenyltrimethicone, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis Oil, Perfume, Butyl Methoxydibenzoyl Methane, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Oil, Tocopheryl Acetate, Butylated Hydroxy Toluene, CI 47000, CI 26100 My thoughts on this product- My first opinions on this hair oil is that the bottle looks pretty simple, the description on the front is in a language I can not understand although there is a small sentence on the back in small writing giving me a little of the products details. The clear bottle is filled with a yellow / orange toned oil with a screw off cap lid. To me the cap would be far better if it was a flip lid with a smaller release for the oil . I find pouring the oil out of the bottle is a little over whelming, the hole is to large and I find I either lose half of it with overspill or use way too much causing waste. The oil it self has a thin consistency, not like other oils I have used but this seems to work well as it soaks into my hair a lot easier . There is no sticky or greasy feeling, in fact if I put a little of the oil on my skin it soaks in wonderfully and leaves my skin feeling amazingly soft and dries quickly . I am thinking, ''If this brand made body oils I would certainly be interested in giving them a try as I love how it left my hands feeling afterwards''. The scent of the Oil is something I actually like but know many may not due to the fact it smells of new baby almost ''Johnsons shampoo'' range but not as strong. I love the aroma, it is subtle but stays for quite some time. After Applying the hair oil to my scalp to see if the irritation I had been suffering with would be helped or eased , I found a sudden relief and decided to leave it in my hair for an hour with a warm towel wrapped over the top. It is advised to leave on overnight but for me I simply can not as I wash my hair very late on so having it on for only an hour works just as well for me. I dryed my hair with a hair dryer to dry it up a little quicker due to it being a late night and have to say it felt amazing. I sat throwing my hair in my husbands direction , whisking it back and fourth and giving a little shake and to be honest it would not even flip . There was no weight in my hair at all, it felt fantastically soft and just bounced back to my head in no time. I had no need to apply any other product to give it a shine as the oil had brightened my blonde shade and left it looking so healthy with a natural shine. Considering the oil was left on my hair , It did not look greasy at all which surprised me , it looked great. Overall the oil is a fantastic buy. The price is affordable and I have since placed the oil into a different bottle to rectify the overspill with a bottle that has a smaller release for the oil. I have used this 3 times in nearly two weeks now and the bottle is looking slightly used as I only need to add a small amount to cover my long thick hair . The fact that this oil is non irritant means I get no itching from using it , my scalp is back to being healthy and looks so more nourished . I would definitely recommend trying this hair oil if you suffer from irritated / dry or sore scalp, it instantly eased my problem and I am already stocking up so I do not run out and feeling the benefits of having a healthy scalp . If your hair is becoming a little dull, especially over these cold months , this is also fantastic to have to brighten up your hair colour and give it a summer shine , for me it wins for restoring my scalp to its healthy state. The bottle is a pale mint green and has a vibrant orange lid showing the product holds the Almond ingedient. The shampoo is aimed for those who suffer with dry , frizzy and course hair which is everything my hair is and more to the point everything I do not want my hair to be like. Having help in restoring shine and moisture to my dull ageing hair , this also adds the smooth look which is something I struggle to achieve even with straighteners most days. The colour of the shampoo has that Almond , golden orange shade to it , it looks silky and there is only a very slight sticky feeling to it . I do not seem to get a massive lather but having less lather in my eyes means less sulphate which is always good for my hair. The scent is totally different the pairing Hair Oil which was Baby Shampoo scent, this shampoo has a sweet tangy scent. It is a mix of yoghurt and honey and I love how fresh it is , awaking my senses it lifts my mood instantly. The silky shampoo cleans my hair without stripping it totally which is something I do look for in a hair product, I hate that feeling of totally squeaky clean hair, nourished and clean is how I expect a shampoo to feel . Having used this alongside the Almond Oil I was unsure as to how it would improve my hair even more but there was a slight difference in the feel to it, my hair felt a little thinner, it left me feeling like I had literally stepped out of the salon. If you do not know what I mean, I mean that feeling like you have no hair left and there is simply nothing there, it was strange but I simply felt like my hair had no weight at all , amazing. There has to be a special type of product that makes me want to buy them over and over but this is very close to one of my other most loved brands and for not being known very well it is getting a huge thumbs up from me. For taking the weight off your head and bringing life back into that flat fuzz, I would recommend the shampoo. Conclusion-
Having tried both the Almond Enriching Hair Oil and the Sweet Almond nourishing Shampoo both together , I have been left very impressed, especially due to the affordable price and ingredients which has done my hair the world of good. My hair is feeling heavenly at the moment and since using them I have had no sign of irritated or sore scalp plus my hair is looking soft and feeling invisible . Have you tried this brand yet, what do you think?
