Matte Lipstick Pouty Pink Matte Llipstick Totally Nude Cost - £1 each. There was a time in my life where looking for bargains in the make up society were a must and sometimes I still like to enjoy brands such as MUA and ELF who are affordable for everyone. Not all cheap brands have terrible quality , in fact I absolutely adore their lipsticks , especially when they are only £1, how can you turn down such a bargain?. I have purchased all of the previous MUA lipsticks previously and when the new matte range came out I had to get them too, for me you can never have too many lipsticks right? Ok so I know they have been out for some time now but to be honest I got busy with many of the other treats that I simply forgot to even pull them from their wrappers. I apologise! To be honest I have always looked for a nice matte lipstick at a price that was not around the £15-30 price mark so I got my first pink shade and natural shade to try them out .
They have 7 shades altogether
Obviously for me the other shades seem too daring for my skin tone but they do look fabulous shades for those more daring than me. So lets take a look at the lovely lipsticks from MUA So my first impressions were not so great, They looked cheap and Ii hated the fact that they were white packaging, I much prefer their black but I know they were trying to make these stand out from the normal lipsticks they supplied so I give them the benefit of the doubt. As always the lipsticks had a lovely little twist of pot on the bottom which to me never gets used as I do not see them any different to the lipstick themselves , I thought it may have been a lovely gloss to compliment the lipstick instead . Plus the fact that the pot is so small I would have to carry around with me a tiny little lip brush to get in their as my finger is certainly to chubby to get in there for a dabble. The formula- Compared to their other lipsticks , this new matte formula is very dry and not creamy at all . I seem to have to rub it on my lips to get it on there to look like I am actually wearing anything at all. The totally nude is not pigmented at all and looks terrible on but the pouty pink look more pigmented with a pretty shade and even coverage. Ok I admit it, rather disappointed in the matte formula which is everything to me. I feel I have to apply pressure on my lips to get a coverage but because I have to do this and because the formula is very matte , it does mean that these lipsticks last a little longer than my usual lipsticks. They seem to be long wearing, cheap and actually work on even dry lips but the downside is that they have a waxy texture and not that pigmented. For me I would not buy these again , I find the original formula of the original lipsticks more to my liking . I suppose these lipsticks will be given to my daughters, I think they would appreciate them more than me .
Have you had a better experience with these lipsticks, would you give them a try for the £1 price tag?

I have to be honest and say I don't really like MUA products at all (sorry). They don't seem to work well on me at all and I'd rather spend an extra few pound on brands such as Collection or Rimmel and get a better quality product.
