First of all I would like to apologise for by eyebrows, I know they need a good sorting but I simply feel tired and today is not the day for doing them . I received a fabulous bundle from Elf Cosmetics for participating in the Beauty Crowd live stream last week. I don't do competitions lately and so it was a lovely surprise especially as I had also won the week before. I do not join in for the competition they are just an extra to the fabulous show they hold every week and I thoroughly love the interaction from all of the bloggers , Beauty Crowd team and Elf team. Each week the stream has a different theme and I enjoy the helpful tips and opinions on each product they discuss. Not only that but both Beauty Crowd and the Elf team are soo friendly and cheerful that you can ask them anything regarding products and your skin and they will help you almost immediately and if not immediately then as soon as they can . The show is on tonight at 7pm so if you follow the Beauty Crowd Facebook Page you will see all updates and hopefully join in and say hi . This week I have noticed that they are going to be talking about eyespriration which basically means looks for the eyes. Does someone or something inspire you for how you wear your makeup? I always find myself inspired by other makeup gurus and artists, the youtube videos by people such as Wayne Goss , Lisa Eldridge and Pixiwoo and if you check out their channels you will soon learn why. They inspire you not only to apply your makeup properly but how to change the looks each and every day and it can be all done by using different styles and techniques , colours and tones on your eyes. One slight change in how you apply your makeup can drastically change the look of your makeup from calm and neutral to dramatic and bold, it all depends on how and what you use to make the look. I have always been one for the neautral look , sometimes if I want to glam it up , I will wear the smokey eye style, but I have never really dared to wear other colours or brights and it is something I really would love to try . Today I used three different shades from the Elf Palette which I received and tried my hardest to use anything other than nude tones. Sometimes the habbit of using the same colours can be hard to get out of but with there being soo many different shades and tones we really need to start being a little more adventurous and that is my aim this year. I was looking for something that would be ok for everyday wear but added a little bit of my personality and because purple is my favourite colour and some used to call me water baby because I loved to swim or play in the water alot as a young child , I figured using a bright blue to blend in would be perfect to compliment the summer tone cream for under my brow . I love purple and because it can be such a scary colour to use on the eye after many terrible experiences of looking like I had been thumped , I have pretty much stayed away just to avoid the mistake again, so today I plucked up the courage and went with the brightest purple in the Elf palette for the crease , a stunning bright blue for the centre lid and a golden light yellow for under the brow bone . As you can see the colours are amazing and the pigmentation of each and every shadow is fabulous.
I think I worked the colours well and maybe once Ii am feeling a little braver and dont have to worry about school pick ups I will try and layer the colour on brighter . This palette is perfect for that, the colour gets brighter the more you add it so they can be worn very faint or very bright depending on how you wish to have them. I would definately recommend you check out the Elf Store online and grab a bargain or two , their makeup is soo affordable and when Wayne Goss says its a fabulous brand with amazing products , you know its got to be true. I hope you join in tonight with the live stream at 7pm and say hi, I will be there watching with other bloggers and readers and of the course the team from Beauty Crowd . Whats yor #Eyespiration today ?
