Estee Lauder - Double wear - My thoughts on the ultimate coverage

Estee Lauder - Double wear

Pebble

Costs - £27

Bought from - House of Fraser

For years I have been using Rimmel lasting finish .

Over the years my skin has changed and the foundation was no longer working for my skin .

My skin was becoming dry and the foundation was starting to clog up in patches and not give that smooth look .

I have some fabulous friends on Secret beauty junkies who kindly recommended Estee Lauder double wear through their personal experiences with it , they said I would benefit from this .

I visited the Estee Lauder counter last month just to try a sample,  instead finding myself been sat down with the lovely lady serving me asking me questions, matching a colour and placing it on my face.

I was terrified , I had come out for a family day out shopping and I just hoped it was not going to look over caked or the wrong colour .

The lady showed me the results through the mirror and I could not believe what I had seen and just gasped.

The results of Rimmel

No good for me

This was my foundation with Rimmel and although it looks OK , with a close inspection you can notice dry ,flaky patches on the brow and the nose area .

Also the colouring was uneven especially around my cheek and chin area.

The coverage was terrible and it never lasted long at all , I found myself re applying on an evening to try and make it look a little even or look like I actually had anything on . For £6.99 I am surprised I actually wasted my money on it for so long but at the time it was the best one I could find .

I will never buy this again and definitely not recommend it for people withdry skin.

The perfect combination

My face has the perfect glow to a natural smooth , flawless, even toned skin.

The lady said that I had different shades of skin which made it hard for her to decide which suited me best but I think she made the right choice .

She chose Pebble .

It looked a little darker than I would normally have gone for but it went on perfectly .

The colour was perfect for my skin and it went on lovely.

I asked the lady if she could see the dry flaky skin around my nose and I checked in the mirror when she said there is not a sight if it .

Estee Lauder can be bought for £27 and I know its very steep for those who wish to spend alot less on their foundation , I would never have dreamed of buying this if it was not for me having a spending day treat courtesy of the husband, but it really is worth it.

It comes in 30ml glass bottle with a gold lid and very high end look. (something I would place on my dressing table and be proud to share with other eyes).

Although the bottle is rather small compared to the average foundations , this amazingly lasts a lot longer due to not needing so much of it. In fact I use one small pea drop on my hand and use a stipple brush to pick it up and place it on my face evenly .

It dries quickly and does not feel cakey or heavy which is what I was expecting and lasts all day long , not wiping or smearing in hot temperatures so I know I will be able to wear this on those gorgeous summer occasions.

I received a free concealer and mascara sample size when I purchased mine and they usually do offers with it so it is worth keeping an eye out for these deals as I love their concealer especially and will be purchasing this on my next make up splurge due to its fantastic coverage and brightening formula, I like to use it under my eyes to brighten them up a little.

This product is a MUST BUY, I recommend it to everyone .

Have you used this before , if so what did you think of it ?
