I have something exciting to tell you about today and it is all about a new brand that I have just heard about , well I say new , I mean new to my knowledge.
I came across them after seeing their page over on Facebook and could see straight away that they were huge over there, so why have I not heard of them before?
Well , FM Cosmetics are a Polish Based brand which are now spreading rapidly around the globe and are growing very fast in the perfume industry but not only that they have skin care and a make up range that I was very interested in.
I was so impressed by reading about their history on their site that the 2 main founders of the group initially started the Golden Tulip Foundation which is a foundation that was established in 2009.
What the foundation does is raise funds in order to bring help to the most needy. Relief operations are organized in cooperation with specialized charitable organizations and agencies dealing with social assistance.
Amazingly this charity went to Africa to help out with things like children's education. The children were basically sitting on straw mats under a tree outside with a piece of chalk and a chalk board. They have recently (through the help from the trust have built them a school. They also built a house next door to the school for the teacher so she could be there and not worry about getting back and fourth from the school which is so amazing.
Now I got in touch with them by asking how I went about buying their products. As I was searching for an online shop or site, I found that this is a lot like the Avon Company. Basically they have many individual distributors who sell, promote and work like a door to door, bulk order.
Their primary goals are:
They have a lot of people from all over the UK who have their own sector to get orders and deliver them the products to their doors. They post you their product catalogues, you browse and decide what to buy, they pick them up and you wait for them to deliver . It is one of those Jobs I have done but found no benefits to myself , i made extra wage and the products were terrible although they are getting better , but that was with Avon.
FM Cosmetics are better and here is why, their products are basically the same price if not a little more appealing. They are more affordable and also they are animal friendly which means you can work / receive great products knowing that no animal testing is being carried out to ensure your product is safe, because it is safe and there is no need to use defenceless animals just to make sure.
They love animals and promise there is no testing at all . It is becoming such a big issue in the make up industry now that I am really surprised that leading brands are still active.
So many more people are now looking for animal friendly / vegan free cosmetics and now we have FM Cosmetics to add to our wonderful list.
Getting rather excited at reading about them, I posted on their facebook wall , where the next morning I woke to find 6 people had inboxed telling me how great the products were, asking me if I wanted some samples sending. They seemed really helpful and friendly and I was actually gob smacked at the response after just writing on their wall asking a simple question . As there was so many replies I decided to choose one of the ladies to approach who's name was mentioned by someone else who had inboxed me. This lady was so helpful and offered to send me a few samples and catalogues for me to browse through.
I received the parcel and had a quick check to make sure everything was fine then on Saturday I had a try of them. This is my review and thoughts on the products.
I received two catalogues with order forms included just in case I wished to order anything .
The catalogues are similar again to the Avon magazines in size and glossiness. I somewhat found that I loved the look of the products straight away and obviously the first thing I noticed was the affordable price .
There were a couple of Perfume samples which were marked with numbers and one of them I was told are mostly parfume so higher percentage of oil and are natural.
The one with red label number 20 is a FM classic and is in the same fragrance family as Flower bomb their description reads
This 30 ml perfume contains sensual rose, delicate freesia and seductive orchid, immersed in black tea, patchouli and musk aromas. Pure sweetness!
I was asked to place the perfumes on my skin then try and leave to settle for a few mins as they are a higher concentrate than the normal designer ones you would buy so they will last longer on the skin but may seem strong at first.
The other one is FM luxury 354 the same as pure DKNY.
Calm relaxing scent of cotton flower, rose and cyclamen emphasised with powdery iris note.
The lovely Naomi also sent me a beautiful full size Duo eye shadow and three small sample pots of product.
The pots were a small sample and so I could not really get a true test of the product but what I could see was as follows.
So I first tried the Silicone base and to be honest these primers are something I have struggled with . I love the gel based ones mostly but silicone in texture feels almost similar so am willing to try them. I am actually impressed with the softness of this product, it makes my skin feel smooth and so gentle soft. At first it feels greasy but in reality its not at all , it is just so smooth that it glides lovely on the skin. I am actually contemplating buying this when my current one runs out .
When I first opened the tub of this I thought it was actually a lipgloss but on the lid it said it was Candy Pink Glossy lipstick. I absolutely love the colour , its my perfect find of coral tone but with the candy pink tint , I love it. I think it is more a gloss than a lipstick.
The texture feels like a wet balm without the sticky feeling but also has the nourishing feeling of a lip conditioner or lip balm. I love this and would by it for that reason , I do however not think the colour lasts on the lips as long as other lipsticks though and it almost has the taste of a childrens makeup.
Ok I have tried to like this product but infact I can not . Firstly it claims to even skin tone, Now I have uneven tones and this is doing absolutely nothing apart from soaking into my skin. It is not even moisturising and basicaly no good for me what so ever, Pretty dissapointed but I would love to try there powder form as I am sure it may have a better effect with my thirst quenching pores. This is a no from me but if you love liquid CC primers then it is worth a go .
Now onto the amazing Duo eyeshadow. I love this the packaging is soo adorable and the printing on the shadows itself give it the luxurious look and feel. I have used this a few times now and as you can see you only need a small amount as it is very pigmented .
I would be interested in getting the Inky Night (blue) and Sandy emerald (green) also because I am so impressed with the quality of this .
Iif you would like to know more about this product then please do not hesitate to ask them (of course telling them where you first heard of them from ) here
