So rummaging through the oh so many items I still need to try in my make up collection ,I came across this.
The Smashbox eye shadow Quad in Charm.
If you knwo me well then you will know my most loved colour is purple but unfortunately I have not learn the art of using it on my face.
The purple shades are hitting the make up gurus fast this year and I for one love it.
I have always been scared of using none neutral colours for the smokey look which I love to wear daily but lately I have been experimenting with colours and to be honest there are quite a few colours like this one I have learnt to work with and love the finish of.
In fact this quad makes my eye look some what seductive when a false lash and bold liner is added but there is also a look of subtlety that can be achieved by toning it down with less deeper colours .
This quad is perfect for creating smouldering violet eyes. The powerful look (above) with the Shimmery Violet or a softer look (below) with the cool purple.
I absolutely love the lightest shade , it seems the perfect shade for my underbrow , lifting and cleaning my brow area .
The Smashbox quad carries four stunning colours - Matte bone, Shimmery violet, Greyish taupe and Cool purple.
For me shimmer shadows do not usually look well as I feel they are too much for the every day look, but this is just gorgeous and I find myself using it a lot this week.
I absolutely love the Smashbox's eye shadow quad, the shadows blend well and every colour compliment each other so well. These shadows are very, very pigmented, this one is incredibly pigmented and you really have to try hard to get little of it on the brush as my first attempt I had no idea that just one small dab would look so dramatic on my eye.
I have to literally slightly dab my brush on the colour and tap it to remove excess to get the perfect amount. Sometimes this is ok but I find this can be wasteful and with quads that tapped excess can and will get on to the other colours ruining the whole quad altogether.
After using this all week, I have come to the conclusion that this Smashbox quad is fantastic.
Have you tried these, what do you think ?
