In my MAC parcel last week, there was a lipstick I felt a little scared of using but willing to give a go due to the fact I was very interested in trying something new, what can I say, I just love playing with my makeup.

I have come to understand that a lipstick changes your face in many different ways with just changing the shades.

Usually I would wear a nude or a pink and I am slowly beginning to love experimenting with different colours .
I think daring the bolds have become somewhat of a joy.

This time I am sharing with you Fixed on Drama!

See I told you it was an unusual shade for me.

As you know I have only started collecting MAC lipstick from the middle of this year and my collection is starting to grow slowly but nicely with some fantastic shades.

This shade however is one that I would not have thought would ever make it to my stand and to be honest not sure how much I will wear it .

Fixed On Drama is quite vampy should I say , I am not into the dark looking lip, it has the deep red wine shade I am not used to wearing.

Cost - £15.50

What MAC have to say -

Inspired by Ruby Woo's overwhelming popularity and one-of-a-kind texture, M•A•C introduces new bold shades in its Retro Matte finish. Eye-catching colours like Dangerous and All Fired Up create a look that's fiercely feminine. M•A•C also premieres Pro Longwear Lip Pencils in a vibrant colour palette, giving this long-lasting and transfer-proof lip pencil an exhilarating makeover.

What I have to say-

Fixed on Drama is a dark, burgundy red with neutral undertones and has a matte finish. The lipstick seemed to be a little dry to apply which for me is strange with MAC lipsticks as I am used to the creamy texture and this I think makes it less opaque in coverage . For me not wearing dark colours like this , it seems a good thing for me.
Due to my fear of wearing this shade I used a brush to apply to ensure I did not go overboard on the deep shade .
The lipstick lasted on my lips for a good few hours , it left a stain on my lips which I love with a lipstick as I tend to have to top it up regular .

I am definitely thinking this is more of an autumn shade for me , it is growing on me slowly but for now it will be kept in the stand till the season has changed, just not a shade I would wear in the summer.

The pigmentation on this lipstick is not so great , I would defintely recommend prepping the lips before application , this will also help the patchy issue that some people are having , I found applying it with a brush helped a lot too.

Although vampish lipsticks are not my thing, this is growing on me and Ii will keep it in my stand but for now it is too dark a colour for august, will keep it for the October days .

How does this shade look to you, will you give it a go?
