I am so lucky to have a husband who, yes it is not very rare, but when he does treat me , he knows exactly what I like and love.
So he asked me which two MAC lipstick shades I was wanting and went and picked them up in store. Although he spent a full day rummaging around the North East for a store where you can get them from , he eventually ended up in the one place that drives him crazy,,,,, The Metrocentre in Gateshead!
He absolutely hates going there so I knew he was wanting to really cheer me up when he told me had to go there as Sunderland store did not have the MAC stand there yet. Metro was a whole 30 minute more drive away so that's a 2 hour drive as well as the 2 hours searching , He definately made it worth while though when he brought back extras which I have reviews in the posts before this .
So anyway , lets show you the MAC , as I know you are more interested in seeing those .
I asked the social media , which MAC lipstick was their favourite and Creme cup was the most mentioned so I most definitely thought it best to pick this one.
Creme cup is a creamsheen lipstick which is a light blue pink / a cool toned whitish pink.
The texture is creamy and slightly glossy. It has tendency to settle in fine lines of lips. So a lip pencil underneath is highly recommended. This lasts on my lips and stays on for around 3 hours on lips without any touchups and has medium pigmentation. It does not build up too well. I feel the more I add to it , the more it looks clumpy and uneven. Of course like all MAC lipsticks, this smells of that amazing vanilla scent and this shade suits light /pale / medium skin tones best.
I actually never thought I would like this so much but looking at the picture of it here , I feel it looks better than Ii thought it did.
I always look for a shade in lipstick that I can wear on a daily basis like a pale pink or nude tone and this fits perfectly with my liking. This shade is very much raved about and I for one am pleased with it and can see me needing more when I use it all up.
I am enjoying this matched with a pink blush and nude eye look and this has definitely made the top 5 list in my collection of lipsticks .
Myth is the one lipstick I had no help in deciding to purchase. This was the first choice this time round . I had been searching on the internet for the perfect nude shade and this kept coming up on the search bar and also was recommended by my blogger friends too .
Myth Lipstick is a pale pink-tinted beige nude with a creamy consistency. It has a satin finish and is very pigmented just like the others. It is one of the most popular of the permanent range of their lipsticks and it is no surprise why .
I find this very moisturising on my lips and it stays well for around 4-5 hours depending on how much I drink during the wear.
As with all my MAC lipsticks , I like to apply a lip balm to make the shade look calm but if I want it to be bold I simply apply it on without a lip balm and the effect of both are totally different .
The shade on my lips make this lipstick look almost like a light concealer look with a very slight tint of coral pink tone sneaking through. I am in love with this
I am in love with this lipstick , I am using this more than any of the others .
So do you own any MAC lipsticks , what do you think , which is your favourite ?
I would be interested in any opinions on my next choice of shades so if anyone can give me some ideas on what shades I should get next , maybe some more colourful ones, I would be very interested in your choices.
