What do Urban Decay have to say about it?

It's finally here: the long-awaited follow-up to Naked and Naked2 (two of the industry's all-time bestselling palettes)! And this time around, we're giving you a dozen NEW ways to get Naked. (Yes, we loaded this palette with 12 NEVER-BEFORE-SEEN shades.) Choose from every finish imaginable: ultra-smooth mattes, gorgeous pearls and glimmering metallics. From the palest, shimmery pink to deep, warm black, these neutrals will make you want to get Naked all over again. Every shade features our Pigment Infusion System™, the proprietary blend of ingredients that gives each shade its velvety texture, rich color, serious staying power and blendability. Naked3 includes a NEW double-ended shadow/blending brush AND an Eyeshadow Primer Potion sampler with resealable samples of all four formulas (original, Sin, Eden and Anti-Aging). Each sample holds about a week's worth of Primer!

  • Strange - a pale neutral pink matte-satin,
  • Dust - a pale metallic pink shimmer with iridescent micro-glitter,
  • Burnout - a light pinky-peach satin.
  • Limit - a light dusty rose matte,
  • Buzz -a metallic rose shimmer with silver micro-glitter,
  • Trick - a light metallic pinky-copper shimmer with tonal micro-sparkle.
  • Nooner - a medium pinky-brown matte,
  • Liar - a medium metallic mauve shimmer,
  • Factory - a pinky-brown satin.
  • Mugshot - a metallic taupe shimmer with slight pink shift,
  • Darkside -a deep taupe-mauve satin
  •  Blackheart - a smoky black matte with rosy red micro-sparkle.

What do I have to say about the Naked 3?

I have not bothered with any of the Naked 3 Palettes, simply because I really did not understand how I could justify paying the high price for only one palette.

However my husband seen that I had really wanted them secretly so went and treat me to it last week along with the Electric Urban Decay Palette, you can see my review of that here.

Needless to say,  I was over the moon and as I glared at the box , I some what felt a  little scared to even open it incase I ruined it . (I like to keep my makeup products nice and new looking , still in the boxes and all but with the expensive ones , it feels more an honour to own them and I kinda feel scared to use them).

I know everyone has gone completely crazy over these Naked Palettes and I do want to get them all once my moving home and storage situation has been resolved. There is simply no room for any more makeup in my home lol.

The Packaging of the palette is fabulous.
It is a solid rose gold tin with wave effect  embedded on the front exteria. The thing I love to hear with makeup packaging is the magic clicking noise of open and closing them . It always reassures me that my product inside is safe and will only open if I wish it to. The good thing about the casing is that it is easy to keep clean too.

There are 12 beautiful rose/ neautral shades in this palette, many of them have the shimmer which I don't mind but only 3 of them , strange, limit and nooner are the only ones that are matte. I would love it to have more matte shadows to be honest.

It also includes a dual-ended eye brush, and a week’s worth of samples of each of their primers.

I actually wanted to try the primers , so I am pleased I got some free samples with the palette, but to be honest I am actually not impressed so will not be purchasing the primers in future. It seems a little creamy and did not prevent creases at all in my opinion but it did help keep the shadows on my lid and help it last all day.

The brush however is amazing , I actually want a full Urban Decay brush set as the brush bristles are so soft and amazing, the shape of the brush which is included in the palette is perfect for applying the shadows provided and it also has a nice weight and shape to the handle.

I love the shadows, they are all very highly pigmented, soft, blendable, and easy to use. They wear well and after a week of playing with this palette , I have found they last a full days wear without fading or creasing (with help from my Too faced primer which is also quite pricey at £17 ).

I have found myself using the colour strange for my under brow highlight every time , even when I am not using this palette , I open it up just for that shade alone. It's a really nice subtle brow bone highlight colour.

Overall I think this is a great palette with colours that should flatter most skin tones. I love to use neutral colours and I look forward to eventually getting the other two now after trying this and the electric.

Urban Decay are definately my most favourite brand palettes I own now and although very pricey, they are amazing shades and will last a very long time as you only need a very small amount on the brush.

Do you own this or any other Urban Decay Palette, what do you think?

Thanks for sharing your review. I've never heard of the Naked palette sets, but then I don't wear a lot of makeup. I'm sure your review will help people who are wondering whether it is spending their money on the new one.

I love my naked 3 palette, they do seem expensive but they last for such a long time. I used my naked 2 almost every day for over a year before I got the 3 and there is still a lot left in it!

I love those Naked palette sets but I've never owned one. What a lovely guy your husband is to notice what you really wanted. I think I'd better buy my own - makeup is not on my husband's radar LOL

I love the Naked, it's so unique! I know loads of people who will only buy either the 1 or 2 not both, but with this its not like it is remotely similar to the others. The shadows are so beautiful :)

I do like the range of shades. I think skin is important so cost should be less of an issue anyway.

I have this! My mum bought it me for my birthday last month and I love it. I use Strange, & Dust a lot. I've been looking for tutorials on YouTube for using it as I'm a bit rubbish with make-up application.
