If you are not into glitter this Fall , then why not try the red look.

This Fall, red lips, smokey red eyes and shiney red glossy nails are going to be the big hit, but we all know how scary it is attempting the look without looking like you have a bruised face.

EYES:
For the perfect red smokey eye look, here are your simple steps :-
Step out of your comfort zone with this dramatic eye!
Most of us would never dream of wearing RED eye shadow, but anchored with black shadow and paired with a nude or red lip, it’s actually very stunning.

TOOLS:
  • Red Eye Shadow
  • Black or brown Eye Shadow (whichever shade you prefer)
  • Your Favorite Mascara, Angled Liner Brush, Blending Eye Shadow Brush and Small Smudge Brush

STEPS:

  •  Apply a cream eyeshadow over your eyelid to create a base for the rest of your shadows.
  • Use a red eyeshadow, (I like M.A.C Crushed Metallic Pigment in “Spicy Smoke”) and apply it all over your lids.
  • After you have achieved the desired intensity of the red eyeshadow, take a brown eyeshadow and blend the colour into your outer crease and fade it slowly into the red shadow.
  • Lined the top of the eyes with a brown eyeliner to blend smoothly with the eyeshadow.

If your loving the look of your smokey red  look finish your look off with a  nice nude lipstick  (you dont want to go overboard with too much red).

Lips:
So for me I am just not brave enough to wear the red smokey look on my eyes, but the lips are a different matter.
I am not one for wearing the red lipsticks often and infact I am usually found wearing a nude or pink on my lips. However Ii do love Clinique High Impact Lip Colour SPF15 priced at £17. It lasts up to an impressive eight hours, it contains the all-important SPF factor to keep lips protected, whatever the weather so it is perfect for the upcoming cold weather.

Top tip - The different red lipsticks depends on your skin tone.

Pale skin - Pale skinned women should go for a red lipstick shade which has a blue or brown undertone

Olive to dark skin - Medium to dark skins are best suited to deeper reds, with brown or orangey bases

Dark skin - Dark brown skintones look dramatic with pinkish reds.

Tools:
  • The perfect red shade lipstick for your tone.
  • Lipliner in red or a shade darker than your lipstick.
  • Blotting towel.
  • Lip sealant or gloss.
  • Lips scrub or polish.
  • Everyday foundation or concealer.

Steps:

  • Apply your lip polish or scrub , this is to clean and smooth your lips preparing them for the application.
  • Apply a small amount of your everyday concealer or foundation to hide your natural lip colour. (This does not matter so much with the darker colours but does help with the lighter shades).
  • Carefully outline your Cupid’s bow with a lip liner, making it even and symmetrical. (This step will help prevent your lipstick from bleeding as well as allow your lipstick color to stand out even more).
  • Continue lining the rest of your lip line with the lip liner.
  • Fill in your whole upper and lower lip areas with the same lip liner. This step will help your lipstick last longer. Go over all the lip liner on your lips with a lip brush, so that you work the color into any creases.
  • Apply red lipstick on your lips starting from the center of your lips and working it outwards to the corners. Use a lip brush to achieve a more precise and even application.
  • Now take a sheet of tissue paper, fold it in half, and then blot your lips by placing the tissue between your upper and lower lips and pressing your lips together.
  • Apply a second coat of the same red lipstick
  • Apply some lip gloss on the center of your lower lip, and then press your lips together so that some of it goes on the middle of your upper lip. This last step is a trick to making your lips look fuller by making the middle of your lips pop out.
