I have been pondering with what to try next from my 'Gift form the angel' parcel and yesterday my daughter asked me about the Sephora Express Colour 4 second shadows. I received 3 packs of these 2 in grey tone and 1 in brown tone. These strange looking applicators are shaped to mimic the shape of an eyelid with 3 different shades of shimmering eye shadow attached to it. The idea is to line the applicator to the eyelid and press firmly for 4 seconds on the lid, which should give you the perfect instant eye makeup ready look. Now I actually checked out some of the youtube videos and not one of them seemed to get that instant look we would get away with . They looked very bold and almost drag makeup like. They all had to use a brush to blend it in which in my opinion was not the whole idea in the first place. I love the fact these are great for beginners ,maybe your teen daughter who you are trying to teach application of makeup to, but in all respect they look quite ridiculous on that I have seen soo far. I would mcuh prefer to apply my makeup the normal way if it will take you just as long as these will after fidgeting , lining up and blending in. Directions:-
You only get one chance with one set , so if you mess it up by lining it up incorrectly or smudging or dropping the applicator its pretty much game over. The finished effect is meant to be an instant perfect graduation and also a long lasting shadow. I am soo intrigued by this that I have most definately had some fun with it myself today so let us see how I found them personally . First of all I have prepared my eyelid with the Too faced Shadow insurance primer. The hardest part is trying to apply and line them evenly . Here goes! Hahaha , oh dear. This is way too bold for the every day look it most definately needs some blending. I love the colours and its very pigmented but wow I look like a drag queen , not the look I was aiming for today while picking the kids up from school. Lets get blending! Ok so this is as far as I am willing to blend , if I blend any more it will dissapear. Ok so I am actually happy with how it has turned out although I think I could do it on my own better . It seems to blend in nicely together but I like a little more shadowing to the outer lids , the focus on deeper colours on here seem to be on the inner of the lid but it is nice . I paired my eyeshadow with the Smashbox Full exposure mascara and Smashbox Limed eye liner in silver both limited edition but you can get the originals here for the mascara £18 and the eyeliner for £14 , I highly recomend both as amazing products . For the first time I am actually choosing this mascara over false lashes which says alot for me. I actually feel my lashes are full with volume and length. So what do you think of gimic products, would you pay for easiness or prefer to spend your money on shadows ?

It's too fiddly for me to try. I'd rather put my eye shadow with brushes instead of strips.
