#WIMMB ? See me transform - step by step!

Over the past few weeks, I have had quite a few requests asking me about what products I use to get my flawless finish.

I thought it only fare I share ''Whats in my Makeup bag'' as it has been a while since I done my last one and things have changed dramatically over the past 6 months .

I have learned that my skin copes with certain things better than others and what suits me best , so the finishing effect looks and lasts a lot longer than the products I use to use lets say the other year.

Everyone loves a nosey and to be honest my makeup bag changes weekly depending on how I feel and what the weather is like. I am prone to getting new things every week and if I really like something it tends to be there until the new favourite has been added to the collection. However my base or my canvas is something I like to keep the same as I think I have figured my perfect shades and needs now.

Some days I do not wear makeup and if you saw me taking the little ones to school you most certainly would not recognise me compared to the pictures you see here on my blog so this is not what I wear everyday but I do choose a look that almost definitely includes an eye liner for the winged effect and false lashes because my lashes are so small that some days I feel mascara just does not quite cut it , lets say I like to have a little drama in my eyes .

Of course you all have your own identities, likes and dislikes so it is up to you if you wish to add these .

So lets see what we have in my bag,,,,,,,,,
Picture
First of all I would just like to clarify that I do not and have never used soap on my face.
I have always used a scrub, cleanser or polish with a hot/warm flannel as soap dries my skin terribly . I seem to have trouble around the top lip area and the sides of my nose near cheek bone and sometimes the centre of my brows.

I have learned to apply moisturiser daily now too. I was terrible at not remembering and feel it has most definitely helped me discover how to prepare and care for my skin . So each morning I apply a moisturiser beforehand.

Drinking water has always been my downside and although I never have had issues with breaking out or bad skin apart from the menstrual cycle each month and odd dry patches , I do think I could achieve better looking skin if I tried a little harder in drinking more of it. I am trying .

So lets start with the scary bit, my face all bare with nothing on at all to show you just how I transform my face .
Picture
Lets get started!

1.My first rule as said above was to apply moisturiser after cleaning my face ensuring I cover all over my face and neck. I do not skimp on this and literally use as much as as I can without drowning myself lol. My moisturisers change frequently .

I am currently using the Harley street skin care Firma serum . This is a very light and thin moisturiser that carries a lovely scent and leaves my skin feeling very soft .

Harley street firma serum can be bought from Harleystreetskincare.co.uk
Costs - £32
Picture
2. As soon as the cream has absorbed into my skin and dried , I then apply the 'Too Faced  - Primed & Poreless Face Primer Original ', As the saying goes

'' It is a crime not to prime''

This Too Faced primer can be bought from Debenhams
Costs - £24

Picture
3. I use my Real techniques ------- brush to apply my Estee Lauder Foundation in shade pebble and blend it all in evenly .

Real techniques can be bought from Boots
Costs - £9.99

Estee Lauder Double wear foundation can be bought from Debenhams
Costs - £28.50

4. I have been using the Estee Lauder concealer to cover those blemishes  and dark circles.
Some people have different references as to when to apply concealer , but for me I prefer to apply it after the foundation as it lightens the areas where I use it which are also my highlight areas . This helps me in getting my finished look and also helps me not need t use a highlighter as I am still trying to find one which I like .
The applicator which is applied is perfect for applying this .

Estee lauder concealer can be bought from Debenhams
Costs - £21

5. I am in love with the Too faced Solaire bronzer. It is the only bronzer that I find has no shimmer what so ever but can be prefect for giving me that subtle or dramatic tanned look naturally. It is also perfect for contouring which is how I use . I apply this to my under cheek bone area to give the effect I actually have some .
Although this is quite small , it goes very far and is lasting me a very long time so this is worth the buy and the smell is just amazing . It smells like pure chocolate .
This comes with a lovely brush which I use to apply it with.

Too faced Solair bronzer can be bought from Debenhams
Costs - £25

6. The newest addition to my makeup bag is the Daniel Sandler fluid blush in cherub. This is amazing and suits me perfectly. It gives me the perfect natural blush look or a rosey glow and although the formula is very watery like it goes very far and I think the formula makes it easy to blend in easily.
Ii use my finger tips to blend this in .

Daniel Sandler fluid blush can be bought from Daniel Sandler
Costs - £15.50

7. The magic of it all is to blend , blend , blend.
I blend the Too faced Solaire on my cheekbones in a upward motion towards the blush . Then I get a powder brush with nothing on and run it over my face ensuring there is no excess.

8. I then add Too face eye primer to my eye lids and Too faced lip primer to my lips ready for the eye makeup and lipstick application.

Too faced eyelid primer - Shadow insurance can be bought from Debenhams
Costs - £17

Too faced lip primer can be bought from Debenhams
Costs - £14.50

So there it is , my base makeup.

Now that my perfect base is all finished , I am happy to add my brows, eye makeup and lipstick.

I have never been great with eyebrow shaping but I have managed to get an ok look by using the MUA brow pencil in blonde and their brow kit . I go through so many of the pencils it is unbelievable and as you can see this ones in need of an update too.

MUA brow pencil in blonde can be bought from MUA
Costs - £1

MUA brow kit can be bought from MUA
Costs - £3,50

Look at those brows today..........
I know I still need practice !

At the moment My most loved Palette to use it of course the Naked 3 by Urban Decay.

Ubran Decay Naked 3 palette can be bought form House of Fraser
Costs - £37

Eyeliner is a must for me, it does not matter if I am going out or just popping to the school gates. I am in love with the Smashbox eye liner along with their Mascara .

Smashbox eye liner can be bought from Smashbox
Costs - £14

Smashbox Mascara can be bought from Smashbox
Costs - £18

I always ensure I have my false lashes to add afterwards and I have been very lucky to have the Eyelure self adhesive packs in my Poundland store in many styles so I always grab many of them. In fact my husband ensured I grabbed 15 packs last time Ii was there haha. Most definitely worth it though as they can be reused as they come with an extra adhesive strip which can be used on either the same lashes or if they look shabby I use them on other lashes such as the MUA ones which are also very affordable for all.

Eyelure self adhesive lashes can be bought from Poundland
Costs - £1

If you do not have a poundland please visit Eyelure but they cost a little more than I pay at £5.50

MUA lashes can be bought from MUA
Costs - £1

So here is my eye look using these products.............
Picture

Of course there has to be something on my lips to finish of my look.

Deciding on what colour to use has always been my fault daily. I fight with myself asking whether I go for a nude or a pink shade which are the two colours I like to wear on my lips. During summer it is always easy as I just apply a lip balm or gloss but at the moment I fight over the MAC lipsticks.

Today I have gone for

MAC lipstick can be bought form MAC
Costs - £15
Picture
Picture
Then all thats left is to take my bobble out and shake my hair and pose ...........

Ta daaa.............
Picture
So there you go ,my Whats in my makeup bag request post.
I would love for you to comment on what you think about the products or my finished look.

Would you recommend anything for me to try ?

Please leave comments about the products I have mentioned or your questions about anything regarding this post and I will get back to you as soon as I can .

I was hestitant in buying it because of the price but eventually went to the store and had them apply it on me for free to see how it was before I bought it. I find it long lasting with a good primer underneath and lasts me a full day, I am having some issues with my dry areas though , my skins been a little weather treat so some areas on my face have become very dry andthe foundation snags on those parts , Other times though when my dry patches are not there , it works beautifully on my face x

No make up is better... i think sometimes too much make up is too much.. a little is more.. that is what they say.. Women are beautiful without makeup :-)
