Younique 3D Fibre Lashes

There has been many years where I have dreamed of having long lashes.
I have spent my time wasting half hour each day using glue and false lashes which have left my own lashes ( or more of lack of them) being ripped out by the glue that has been slathered among them.

My children were all blessed with gorgeous long lashes and I fear that I merely was drawn the short straw (literally) .

The other week a lovely presenter from Younique approached me , asking if I would like to give the new 3D Fibre Lashes a try .
Having heard so many great things from beauty bloggers, family and friends , I was merely excited initially but also weary too , especially after hearing that some were having some rather irritating issues with the product.

The only way to know was to give them a try myself and wow I am so pleased I did, you will see why when you see the results yourself.

First of all , Younique 3D fibre lash results looked almost too good to be true in my opinion and this is why I was excited to see what actually happened when I applied them to my very short lashes.
Like I said before, my lashes are so short that I actually never thought there would be much length added by the product .

Here is a little about the product before I show you my thoughts and results.

Where to buy -

I would love for you to purchase from the Younique Presenter who I received my product from . Please do not buy from Amazon, Ebay or anywhere that is not incorporated with Younique themselves as they do not allow their product to be sold on those and such sites alike.
If you do , you are more than likely purchasing a fake which can be dangerous and harmful to your eyes.

Cost - £23

What do they say about their product ?

Our simple three-step process combines Transplanting Gel and Natural Fibers to help create the appearance of incredible thickness and volume to your existing lashes. Watch as your lashes transform into something you have only dreamed of! The 3D Fiber Lashes are water resistant but easily wash off with warm water and facial cleanser at the end of the day. Try it! It will quickly become your favourite makeup must-have!

Directions -

To prepare your eyelashes for optimal results, first apply one thin coat of your own regular favorite mascara and let it dry. Then, apply Moodstruck Transplanting Gel to your lashes.

Immediately following, and while the gel is still wet, apply the Moodstruck Natural Fibers.

Reapply the Transplanting Gel a second time to secure the natural fibers onto your lashes.

Ingredients -

Transplanting Gel Ingredients:
Water, Beeswax (Natural Propolis), Carnauba (Brazilian palm glue), Iron Oxide Cl 77499 (Black), Collagen, Acrylates Copolymer, Nylon, Stearic Acid, Propylene Glycol. .23 FL OZ / 7 ml

  • Natural Fibers Ingredients:
  • 100% Natural Fibers taken from Green Tea. Net WT .02 OZ/ .5g.
  • Collagen is a type of protein that works with elastin to give skin its texture, structure, and appearance. It contains antioxidants, and may help add volume and shine to the appearance of eyelashes.
  • Water (Aqua) is the liquid of life! Hydrates and cleanses the skin, and works as a natural spreading component, helping to distribute other ingredients evenly over the skin.
  • Beeswax (Natural Propolis) is a brownish, resinous material collected by bees and believed to have antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties.
  • Carnauba (Brazilian Palm Glue) is extracted and refined through a pressing and crushing process that turns the palm glue into an oil, creating the sticky nature of the transplanting gel. It is also believed to act as a natural preservative.
  • Iron Oxide Cl 77499 (Black) is a technical name for Black Iron Oxide. This naturally-occurring mineral acts a colourant, giving the gel its striking black colour.
  • Acrylates Copolymer is an adhesive and binder, as well as a suspending agent.
  • Nylon is a powder substance that is used as an absorbent and thickening agent.
  • Stearic Acid (also known as Palmitic Acid) is an organic nutrient derived from palm trees that is often used to soothe and soften the skin.
  • Propylene Glycol is a humidifying and delivery ingredient.

My thoughts on Younique 3D  Fibre Lashes-

My first impressions were of the case that came with the product.
Wow, I absolutely love a product that has its own case and this is gorgeous.
It reminds me of a leather casing for sunglasses, solid and flip open style in sleek shadowed black .
You also get a full instruction sheet which tells you how to use the product .

Before using the product , I was informed to use my own mascara before applying the transplanting gel .
The mascara that I chose is Smashbox Extreme as it is the only mascara that adds volume to my eyes , unfortunately only a tiny bit of length which is where the 3D fibre mascara needs to help me along.

Using the Transplanting gel , I applied it to my lashes concentrating on the ends rather than the whole area just as I would my mascara.

Over the past couple of weeks, I have overheard people talking and complaining about the fibres getting into their eyes and irritating them.
This has then led to them not achieving the full benefit of the Younique 3D Fibre lashes and to me is such a shame , just give it another try but try it my way.
My advice is that you stay clear from applying the product to the beds of the lashes .
Your looking to add length not volume or depth , using this product on the ends, will not  only give you a much more natural length to your lashes but also a more natural look .

Make sure you apply the fibres while the transplanting gel is still sticky .

Here are the results -

Are you as amazed with the results as I was?

Honestly, I had no idea that this product was actually going to work and listening to others experiences with this , I was a little superficial .
This result was surprisingly surprising to me , it really was .
I am rarely overly excited about products, this is the first product in a while that I have actually had pleasure in using and that has actually given me instant and transforming results.

For me, finally having a fluttering lash that looks natural and not glued on is something of an achievement.

The transplanting gel I am pleased to see has not been clased as a mascara, instead they named it correctly as the product does not add anything in respect of a mascara for your eyes , essential to the whole product , this is what helps keep the fibres on the lashes and also seals it to stay on afterwards.

The fibres are very fine and light so when applied, your eyes do not feel heavy like they would with a false lash strip , nor do they look out of place and unnatural .
The fibres are meant to be a temporary measure (just like false lashes used for a day) but unlike mascara gives extra effect and lengthier lashes which are easy to remove by washing with your everyday eye makeup remover just as normal .

You can build up the dramatic look by applying more fibres whilst in between applications applying the transplanting gel to ensure the product builds up and stays put.

I did not apply the product to my bottom lashes as for me , I personally do not like that look on myself.

There are a few products from Younique that are quite appealing and I would love to give them a try such as Their Precision Eyeliners and their Glorious face and eye primer .

I actually thought this product would just be another craze, another hype, another fake love to better the brand , but in fact , I am actually very impressed and the product has wowed me more than I thought it would.

The wands are just perfect for handling, the case itself is perfect for carrying everywhere with you , even for taking away on holiday and weekend stays .

For me my first impression and experience with Younique is a top score , there has nothing that has put a downer on this product for me, even the price is worth paying .
