Childs Farm Detangler For Flowing Locks

Having a house full of girls can be a nightmare on a morning .
With all of us squeezed into the bathroom , fighting for the mirror, brush's and hair products it is no wonder it takes us so long getting ready in a morning.

I usually have no problem with two of my children now.
One of them is old enough to do her own hair and the others is so fine that it does not seem to be much work at all but my 8 year old has hair just like mine and this is the one I seem to spend my mornings doing , wasting more time than I actually have unfolding the knots and tangles.

The problem with hair like my on and my daughters is that you can have freshly washed hair that runs through your fingers like silk but within 5 minutes it tangles all by itself just with the slightest of movement.
We have literally tried washing our hair in only conditioner to make it more manageable, going to the extremes of straightening with hot irons to get a smoother finish that  reduces tangles for longer but I have simply give in with even trying now.

I now spend half the time doing my daughters hair on a morning due to a simple solution,,,,,,

The detangling spray!

Picture
It takes only a couple of sprays on the locks to loosen the tangles easier with a comb or brush reducing time for our hair routine in the morning.
The bottle is of a handy size and the spray nozzle sprays an even amount spreading around a vast area of the head which ensures no waste is lost from the spritz.
Only needing a small amount means it does not leave your hair looking or feeling wet or greasy .

As with all of the packaging from Childs Farm, this also has that amazing illustration that is cheerful and bright and eye catching for the busy child's eye.

The scent is of Grapefruit and Organic Tea Tree although the Tea Tree comes through as the main aroma which keeps those nasty little critters those head lice at bay.
The good thing about the scent is that it smells fresh and clean and that to me is what matters most.

The great thing about Childs Farm products is that they are more than 98% organic and to me that makes me feel safe on using them on my most loved ones.

My older daughter has been suffering with Slight Eczema so knowing this is safe for even her skin gives me piece of mind but that will also be down the fact that there are no Parabins and is free from Sodium Lauryl Sulphate which is the main cause for irritation of scalps because it froths up the product which can sometimes cause drying in most cases, especially for those who have sensitive skin.

Ingredients:

Aqua, Glycerin, Cetearyl Alcohol, Benzyl Alcohol, Parfum, Cetrimonium Chloride, Citric Acid, Limonene, Hydroxypropyltrimonium Honey, Hydroxypropyltrimonium Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Niacinamide, Dehydroacetic Acid, Sodium Starch Octenylsuccinate, Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Oil*, Citrus Grandis (Grapefruit) Peel Oil, Calcium Pantothenate, Maltodextrin, Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate, Citronellol, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract, Tocopheryl Acetate, Pyridoxine HCL, Silica

For me using a detangling spray has reduced time in our busy morning routine , it also helps keep those little bugs at bay if they ever are in need of a new location and the smell helps keep their hairs smelling fresh .

The only issue for me is that for £4.75 , I find this a little too expensive for our budget due to the fact I would need to buy this regular and have found similar products for a quarter of the price (although without the benefit of being organic ).

I would use this again however if the price was reduced slightly as I loved how easy it was to use as well as the added benefits to the spray.

What do you look for in a detangling spray ?

I agree about the price, it would be a little out of our price range as well but I'd maybe put up with it if it worked on Kaycee and Ella's hair. I dread the hair brushing time in the mornings!

I wish products like this existed when I was a child, I used to dread the weekly dragging of the hairbrush through my hair x

This really does seem to be a godsend and you can clearly see the difference it makes. Thankfully I don't have enough hair nowadays to get it tangled. My eldest sister would love this, her hair is constantly tangled (or snarled as I call it). Stephen :o)

I would like this for myself :) The tea tree is good for keeping the nits at bay (not me) ;) My son has longish hair for a boy so this would probably be beneficial for him too.

Your daughter has beautiful hair! And I'm pleased you've found a solution to your morning rush. Must be nice for her to leave the house smelling of grapefruit!

Always interesting to hear about detangling sprays. I should probably use one on myself but have become quite used to tackling thick hair. My 4yo however isn't keen on brushing. Perhaps I should look into them. You're right the price point does seem quite high.
