They grow so quickly don't they? Every year I hate the organisation I have to do for the children's birthday parties.
In the past I have booked halls , taken them to events and shopping sprees or had parties at home but I can not remember one party yet that has been stress free . In fact the last one was a party in our local community centre, we had over 30 children , bouncy castle and party games but cleaning up all the mess and rushing around , just me and the husband made us shattered and worn out, we ended up in bed by 9pm . It can become very costly and stressful especially when there is 7 of them to sort before they invite all their friends to and the thought of organising another when I have just had to spend £300 on a school trip for one of them as well as another £100 on clothes to go to that trip is quite a daunting thought . Sian was told that because the trip cost so much and the fact she was going for three days so close to her birthday that this would be part of her birthday treat , the same went for Philip , he is 12 now and has his £300 trip to Paris and Germany in December also trips to London beforehand to go to next month and 2 weeks before xmas . It all costs a fortune and we always try to ensure they go on all the trips but when its close to birthdays or xmas like this then they simply have to make a choice between a present or a holiday, I think it seems only fare . If only I had a magic wand to be able to afford all those trips, throw a massive party and buy gifts and spend thousands on them each every birthday, um no! I try to teach my children the values of life by being grateful for what they have and if they receive something better than expected it is because they have deserved it and worked hard for the treats they get. As you may know already we had quite a tough year last year and we had my husbands two children come to live with us full time, we are now looking to move to a bigger house to accommodate us all. With my two girls having to give up a lot of their things and space to help their sister and brother settle in and basically having to squeeze into their room with another , as well as the aspects that they got less new things and trips out , holidays cancelled and so on , I think they have deserved a great birthday party this year to thank them for supporting me and their dad in the changes . They gave up and put up with things just like us. Last year I was lucky enough to have 'Grumpy but Gorgeous choose me to receive a free all expenses paid for Platinum Spa For An Extra Special Kids Spa Party This is what the package include's-
Having both my eldest and youngest girls birthday so close together, this seemed just the perfect idea for saving the pounds and stress of preparing it all , so knowing this was going to be a party that was organised and I had nothing to do what so ever (except for the food) sounds amazing. Grumpy But Gorgeous told me I do not need to do anything at all, just sit with a glass of wine and watch them having fun, so I am hoping this is all I will be doing lol. It truly is unbelievable that they are travelling all the way up North to come to our home and do our party. Today I got all the table wear, the pink tablecloth, napkins, cups and plates and of course the buntings and balloons. Having the necessary pieces for the party table of course was my biggest concern as I have a grubby table that is always in need of being covered with a sheet to make it look special on birthday occasions. Being a girls party this gave me the idea to do a pink champagne party (pink lemonade of course), they won't know the difference haha. The company sent us our invites so the children sent them out last week and I have had so many parents coming up to me asking if the could go. Full on pamper session , but it is for them not us and so I will have to enjoy a pamper session with the husband when ever we get a spare weekend, maybe in the next 10 years hopefully lol. We thoroughly enjoyed our honeymoon which had a full spa experience included two years ago. I have been looking around for ideas of a Pink party food theme and I am quite excited knowing it is all I have to worry about .
I bought a ton load of balloons but not being able to place them on the floor as there will be foot spas and so on I have bought some pink ribbon and I am going to cover the cealing with them , which will save me buying some helium and with the throws and covers the company use to cover the sifa and floors , the room will look like a pink fairytale palace . I am so excited and so are the girls. There has been a lot of speculation about the company not turning up to parties and although I will be very honest and it worries me so much , I am hoping they stick by their word and turn up as promised. They have always kept in touch and answered any questions I have had for them pretty much straight away . I have spotted their post on facebook saying they are excited to be coming to Durham to do our party and although they usually base themselves in the London area only , I hope they enjoy their journey and make the girls day the best ever. I will of course keep you updated and share their day with you here . So watch out for how the day goes this Saturday and wish me luck in my creativity with the watermelon lol.

This sounds like such a lovely birthday party! My mums a hairdresser and I'm a dab hand at nail art so we've done some simillar parties (not quite as fancy, mind) for family friends and the girls always love it. I'm sure you'll all have a lovely time.

I think it is important to teach children the value of money from a relatively young age - they have to learn that they can't have everything!

I do love the idea of getting to just sit back and relax. I find parties so stressful and always feel exhausted afterwards! I hope this one goes well, it sounds great and I can't wait to see the photos and read all about it.

kind of what you might find a bride's veil made of. Except we bought pink instead of white. You can use whatever color you like.
