Last week I received a tweet regarding a win from a competition I had entered , to be fare I can not remember entering as I don't usually enter them much these days due to lack of time or view so I must have seen it as I was working and being something to do with fairies and the children, I made an instant entry . Fairies have always been apart of my upbringing , my mum used to make stories up and keep the magic of belief going even up until I was 11 years old. The rain would hit the paving slabs in the garden and bubbles would form in the gaps as it gushed down into puddles. On one occasion mum must have placed a small tiny dolls shoe out before the rain started (I was never one to play with dolls so it must have been one of my older sisters) and as soon as the bubbles again returned she rushed me to the window and explained she saw a fairy fly by , struggling in the winds and had lost her shoe in our garden. I remember making fairy rings and houses on the edge of the woods on which we lived beside and took a huge interest in the magic, hoping that in the next rain , the fairy would find somewhere to stay until the storm passed. I try to encourage the stories now with my own children , the two smaller girls who are now 10 years old and still like to enjoy them and when I told my Daughter Drew of the message received she instantly asked to choose one and asked to keep her. Milly's Fairies and Elfs are not toys. I must emphasize that these are in fact collectors items and are handmade with very intriquet detail that small hands may feel too curious to take care of . I do have very rough handed children but Drew is very gentle and takes care with her things . She is now at the age where she understands the beauty of things like this and I can trust her to look after them . Drew went through the site as instructed and found it very difficult to choose just one but eventually decided on Rosella the Forest Elf Doll. I instantly agreed , seeing the cute little face and auburn hair. It reminded me straight away of the fairy I once thought I had seen when playing on the side of the Woods as a small child . Just five days later we received a rather large parcel and carefully wrapped inside we opened another parcel and inside we seen Rosella peeping at us, all wrapped neatly in her beautiful cape. Approximetly 12'' high , this poseable Elf is said to be the friendliest winged Elf who is full of sparkle, berries , a feather and leaves making her beautiful outfit that shows is she is in fact from the forest. Her dress and cape are full of greens and reds and forest moss, she truly is gorgeous. Her face is so adorable , she has a cute dimpy nose and very mystic looking eyes . Her smile is friendly and her cheeks are rosey and her hands and face are made of painted resin so very durable. We are currently undergoing a full house makeover , so the children are currently designing their bedrooms. Drew has decided that because she is having a castle bed made and designed by her dad that she is now going to incorporate her Elf in to the scene by hanging her above her bed , she has also asked for me to order her some more with her pocket money she had saved. We absolutely love our Prize and would love yo to take a look . Thank you to Milly's Fairies for sending her to us. Disclosure - All opinions are my own
