It's Spring Half term and the children are going to be getting up to all sorts of play at home. We love finding things that involves roleplay but it's even better when they all get to enjoy and play together. The one thing all of my children have in common , since they were little has been the fun of playing with figures and playsets. Unfortunately Joshua , the smallest of them all at just 16 months can rarely join in as they tend to have small pieces that he can not play with due to choking hazzards so when we get to look and play with toys like this it's great fun to see them joining in together and including Joshua in his learning. Schleich is a German producer of handpainted toy figurines and accessories and they have a very varied range of animal in their catalogue. I absoutely love their feeding accessories sets and my daughters would absolutely adore the Bayala's. We have a very big love for Fairies and Elfs in our home. In today's post we will be showing you the ''Farm World Starter Set''. This includes four animals including The Donkey Foal, Rooster, Sheep and Holstein Cow. The Starter set costs just £14.99 from Smythstoys.com and are suitable for ages 3+ although I found my 16 month was fine to play with these. Schleich toys are beautifully made and have such realistic detail in each and every figure and playset that it makes roleplay feels so much more than just play , it brings life to their imaginations and creates a world they can hold right there in their hands . I have had a look at their other playset groups and I know my daughters would be very find of the Bayala sets of Fairies and Elfs as well as their Dinosaur range which I know my boys would love also . The quality is definitely the best and they are very durable for even the smallest of hands . They have captured the true look of the animals even down to the vein detail in the Cows udders. As the age suitability does state that these figures are for ages 3+ , my older children loved to play unsupervised but I made sure I watched Joshua at all times while playing with them. Although these figures have no removable parts or movable joints on them, I still took caution to the warnings and made sure he was not putting the ears or feet and such into his mouth. They felt safe enough for him to play with but I am rather worried with hazzards so like to follow the guidelines in play when I feel it necessary. The children have all enjoyed playing with their animals. The learning of what animals are which and what noises they makes, where they live and how you look after them are all part of learning for Joshua so it's very fun to hear him making his replica sounds of each animal . He especially loves the cow and shouts ''Mooooo'' with emphasis on keeping it going till he runs out of breath. For me, the sheep has a very cute face and I love the serious look on its face . The Schielch products are gorgeous and I will certainly be looking to purchase more of the collections .

These must be great for little ones firstly to learn the names and noises for each animal and also for creative play.
