So your probably already in the midst of school morning antics of rushing around getting those little cherubs ready for their day ahead and dealing with the stress of finding that lost shoe, forgotten homework and ensuring they look smart as a button. Thanks to Vosene , there is always one thing you never have to worry about and that is the dreaded little bugs that infest our children's hairs at one time or an other. School is a breeding ground for the little fans if not kept an eye on so keeping those gorgeous heads clear and clean is a necessity and its not that hard to keep a check on. Last week we received a surprise form the wonderful Vosene to prepare us for the #Termready season. Not only did the children receive some of their fabulous products such as the 3 in 1 shampoo and the conditioning defence spray but there were a few extra little treats in there for us mums/teachers. I am very grateful for the wonderful Academic wall planner , the Raising human travel mug and the fantastic book 'Hurrah for gin ' by Katie Kirby as well as a few extras such as washable pens (very handy for the little toddler who uses them to learn his ABC's on his wipe board) , a doodle pencil case and some zip folders for keeping the kids work together , it was a lovely surprise that cheered us up and definitely prepared us for the new term . Head lice are wingless insects that spend their entire lives on the human scalp and feeding exclusively on human blood. Head lice are harmless, and they have been regarded by some as essentially a cosmetic rather than a medical problem, and they are treatable. Since being a small child, my mum used only Vosene on my hair. Not only did the product keep my hair clean but it had a harmless ingredient that Headlice hate. Headlice unfortunately are just a little irritation to say the least and tea tree oil, lemon eucalyptus and citronella that can be found in Vosene products are the ingredients that will help those critters take a hike. Having 8 children can make it quite time consuming when it comes to hairs but it is not as hard as you may think . We are now in a regular habit of using the Nitty Gritty comb each morning , my children brush their hairs and then run the comb through each morning , all of them from the age of 7 to 15 all do their own hairs. I check them once a week to make sure all is clean and clear unless of course I am making plaits in hairs and I do an extra check . My girls all have really thick hair so using the 3 in 1 shampoo and defense spray really does help a lot and we're always getting compliments on how gorgeous their hairs are . Checking the edge of the hairs is usually the first place where you will find those eggs been layed , the front of the head , behind the ears and the nape of the neck.
Using the Vosene 3 in 1 and then running the comb through is the perfect routine to get yourself into once a week . Do you have any tips and tricks to keep them at bay, is Vosene a must have in your home ?

We love the Vosene range, when my daughter had head lice it was a life saver! We also got a nitty gritty comb, it was the only thing that got rid of them!

This sounds like an interesting hair product for kids, it is great it can help you check for headlice as well as after all they can be everywhere.

I used to remember detangle sprays - they were awesome as a kid, as they helped with my thick and unruly hair. Wish they used just as well for my hair 20 years on!

Literally a week or so before my youngest daughter started Primary 1, I bought the same Vosene products as you. As for anything else? Teatree oil seems to be the go too product to keep the little suckers at bay!

I remember the days when if a child would have lice the parents used to wash their hair with gas because there were so shampoos to protect against it. Vosene is a great aid for mothers for sure!

I generally do the same as you and do weekly checks, so far we've been pretty lucky! Your daughter's hair is amazing, by the way!

Just reading this made me itchy!!! I made it through school without getting head lice but I know it's still very active out there. I hope you don't have to use these products, but it's best to be prepared.

Never heard of Vosene before but this could come quite handy especially with them being in school where we couldn't keep watch on them where they can catch head lice.

I have been fortunate so far that the kids haven't had any lice, so I don't have any tips or tricks to keep them at bay. I cant get over how beautiful your daughter's hair is! I like the treats that Vosene added in, very thoughtful.

I realise I've probably jinxed this now, but we've managed to avoid head lice so far, although I do have bottle of Vosene in the cupboard to use whenever we get the warning letter from school! x

The Vosene range sounds great, I love that that it prevents rather than treats. We're past the headlice stage here but I remember them well. I've spent many a night combing through treatments. Such a nightmare!
