I know there are three seperate parts to this book but I really wanted to show you them one at at a time as the nail wraps look most appealing to me and I am not sure when ,but the eye liner strips will be used for having fun sometime over on the makeup blog so keep an eye out for that .

First of all I want to let you know I have tried these before but not these exact types. I actually used to use the Nail rock Nail wraps a lot through the summer of 2012 , especially on my toes.

The problem back then was the fact that I use my hands a lot and the wraps never stuck on the edges as best as I needed them to so therefore I would peel them off and found it a waste. However using them on my toes seemed to work better for me as they lasted weeks and applied perfectly , no idea why!

This time however I am willing to give them another chance just because I am hoping there formula for stickiness will be better than before. Plus they look too jazzy to leave in the cupboard and waste. Definitly my style of brightness .

There was full instructions in the booklet and this is what it says:-

Instructions-

  • Start with a clean dry nail.
  • Push back cuticle.
  • Shape and file the nail edge.
  • Gently remove surface shine using a nail buffer.
  • Using pure acetone, wipe the nail bed as if you were removing red nail polish.
  • Select the Nail rock wrap nearest to your cuticle size. These can be trimmed to fit if needed.
  • Do not touch the adhesive side of the wrap that will be used on your nail.
  • Place at the cuticle edge and press firmly on to the nail . Working from the middle of the nail to the outside edges, applying firm pressure.
  • Stretch and pull excess wrap over the nail free edge firmly.
  • Taking a smooth nail file, remove excess wrap by running file under the nail.

With a little practice , careful removal of shine from the nail and plenty of firm pressure, you will aquire a stunning , long lasting finish.

To remove:

Start from the nail edge, peel off the nail rock .
So lets see how this turned out.........

My honest opinion:-

Ok so you know I am going to be brutally honest with you and I do not expect you to think any less.
I am pretty disappointed actually. I was so excited to use these because the pattern is amazing but it all comes down to that same thing with nail wraps.

They are just way too thick to even put on your nails without causing a crease !

I am always getting these but it does not matter what brand or where I get them from , they simply look fake and never go on straight.

My nail wraps have been on less than 2 hours and already the edges are failing to keep the stick to my nail and I am now finding my self pushing them back on hoping they will stay out but it is just not working.

I know they are going to fall of soon as I do the dishes !

They were very fiddly to apply and having to trim them ,made it awkward without being able to touch the adhesive but never the less I completed that part ok.
I actually do think that nail wraps need to be a more thinner material .

They simply look a mess close up and I for one do not like the idea that I have to take them off more than likely later once I get sick of the edges peeling off and catching things.

In my own opinion , I honestly think the old way of applying these wraps by warming them with a hair dryer to soften them so they stretch over the nail easier was a lot more effective even though it was more awkward to do .
I did love the old Nail Rock wraps that used to have to be applied like this as the finish was a lot nicer and cleaner.

I do love the pattern and colours though, I really need to learn to do this by hand , no wraps just polish and a nail art tool and a steady hand .

I love the idea but it simply does not work for me , Maybe I need more practice !

Have you tried Nail wraps, did you have a better experience ?

I've tried them and I had the same problems as you. I also tried some Elegant Touch Express press on nails this weekend and although they looked great I also found the typical problems, as soon as you wash up or have a bath they start coming away. It's such a shame that there are no off the shelf nail treatments that can cope with our busy lives...unless I just haven't found the right product yet. Having said that my teenage daughter would have great fun trying to get these stickers to work!

These nail designs are interesting. When I was young, growing up in the 60s, I used to love painting my nails. Plain though--we'd never envisaged anything so fancy.

It is a shame that they don't have a flawless finish as the pattern is really cool. The only thing I have found that can withstand the dishes are gels - mine last at least 2 weeks which is amazing.

I've never tried nail wraps. I love the pattern but they'd annoy me as they do you if the edges kept peeling. Nail varnish annoys when it chips which is why I hardly ever wear it on my fingernails. Can't be without it on my toe nails though!

Ugh I thought it was only me who got creases and had them go on crooked!I have used them on my toenails, which is no easy feat since the nails are so tiny and I used a crazy print so you couldnt tell if it went on crooked. They stayed on until I had to soak them off because my nails had grew too much. But like you, on my hands, they started lifting right away!

they just dont go on with out creasing , the edges come away and they are too thick , they need to try a new tranfer x

I've never tried nail wraps and not sure I ever will. I have strong nails and I am afraid to damage them using products like this... or am I just being silly?
