So I have to admit I was rather excited when a lady from Vita Coco contacted me asking me if my children would like to try their new kids line of Vita Coco drink.

I was told there were 2 new flavours they were trying to introduce which sounded amazing

  • Apple and Blackcurrent
  • Mango and Pineapple

SO when you hear those amazing flavours of fruit you begin to understand how appetising a coconut milk being flavoured with them sounds.

To be honest , I have not drank Vita Coco before, it simply has not made it to my basket whilst out and about .

So anyhow , lets get to the interesting bits,,,,,, the drink it self.

What do Vita Coco say about their drink-

Inside every green coconut is an extraordinary life-force and Vita Coco taps straight into it, bringing you a refreshing, electrolyte-replacing beverage that surpasses artificial sports drinks in every way - except in artificiality.
Vita Coco contains no artificial ingredients and unlike coconut milk, coconut water contains no fat or cholesterol.
Vita Coco is an excellent source of the five essential electrolytes: potassium, calcium, phosphorous, sodium, magnesium - in fact, we've got all the important "ums" covered.

Packaging-

I do not have to tell you how fabulous the packaging is really. You can see for yourself .
Vita Coco For kids come in a recyclable pouch with a handy straw for easy use and acessibillity where ever you are.
The flavoured milk is handy for those packed lunches or trips out and the vibrant colours are great. My son absolutely loved the fact that the apple and blackcurrent flavoured milk had a monkey on the front .
If you do not know already , my son is obsessed with monkeys.

My two elder daughters tried out the Mango and Pineapple, they both seemed to really enjoy it and it did not last long at all, the taste was fresh and creamy and they knew the exact flavours without me telling them .

The Apple and Blackcurrant however was a little less creamy , and the younger ones seemed to enjoy them more than the mango and pineapple.

For our children this drink was a hit , more so with the mango and pineapple for the older ones and the apple and blackcurrant for the little ones, I am not sure if that is because of the thickness of the juice .

Price-
£2 for a pack of 4

I tend to buy my shopping from Tesco as it is closer to us and most convenient for online shopping and I found Vita Coco for kids to be £2 for 4. To me that seems quite a lot of money for only 4 drinks but given the fact that it is coco milk and good for them , I suppose it is a nice treat once in a while. For me having 7 children to buy juice for though these pouches could add up very costly so it does not seem so affordable in the long run .

Overall conclusion-

So over all after trying both flavours and having a sip myself of course, the children and myself enjoyed the flavours of both the drinks , more so the mango and pineapple for us older ones and the apple and blackcurrant for the younger ones.
The packaging is vibrant and fun and the very handy , easy to dispose or fold away packaging  is ideal for outings or packed lunches.
The only downside to this product is that the cost is a little more than I would tend to pay for a children's drink.

Have you tried this yet?

Why not give them a try .
