19 weeks Pregnancy diary

Omg ,,,, 19 weeks already and its all still going so very fast and there is definitely no signs of it slowing down , in fact its going to be getting busy a lot more busy.

It was the last day of my 19th week in pregnancy yesterday and tomorrow I will be going for my second scan which will determine the sex of the baby and I am so very excited and of course will let you know as soon as I get back , I promise!

For now let us concentrate on how my 19th week went and wow I thought nothing happened but it most certainly has.

Any Big Events this week?
Am I the only one who thinks that every four weeks waiting to see a specialist or experiences  professional is way to long?
I wish it was more scans and Fetal hearings in between.
On the 18th of this month (Monday) , I was layed in bed relaxing watching telly when my husband decided to have a little chat with bump about his or her name.
Bump seemed to either like the name or was a little annoyed that its dad had chose the wrong sex as the next thing we know it was like a jumping bean and went crazy for a full 20 minutes non stop .
Getting those odd spurts of flutters, kicks and wiggles makes the whole thing worth while and so much more exciting .

How is Baby?
At this point in our cycle, our baby has lanugo (a thin layer of soft, fine hair ) growing and covering its little body. The lanugo shredds before birth usually but some babies are born with it still slightly on their backs and head.
I am actually very surprised to find out that baby is around 17cm  in length from crown to rump and its sensory system is rapidly accelerating so is able to now hear the surroundings which explains the kicks I received when my husband was speaking to bump.
I will need to start relaxing more though as it can also feel stress too.
There is also that protective substance covering its little body, some babies are born with it still visible but with me having water births with all of my other children this is something I have never seen myself.

How am I doing?
I have to admit that this week I have not had the greatest week.
Although I do feel better in myself with a little less sickness and no headaches, the tiny being inside me is causing me some discomfort in the respect that I can not lie on my side sleeping without feeling uncomfortable.
I am getting aches and stabbing pains in my stomach but this is not unusual as it is only my body stretching .
Talking of stretching, my husband also came out of with the fact he thought that I was was looking wider.
I was not sure whether to smile or smack him as he smurked at me saying it and on that note you can see my bad moods are still here and not budging any time soon .
I have also found that instead of the dark line which some expectant mothers get on their lower abdomen or pubic area , I have instead grown a thin line of dark hair which is also a huge amusement to my husband but an annoyance to me and not only that but my breasts are starting to itch a little too as they are growing too.
Seems like every part of me wants to stretch and grow .

Other than the few changes that my body is going through this week , I feel great, still a little sickly, still a little moody and uncomfortable but wow I am having a baby and its feeling very real.

It was the last day of the 19th week of my pregnancy on Thursday 20th and on the 22nd we get to go on our 2nd scan which will also hopefully determine the sex of our little surprise  so keep an eye on my next post for the reveal.

I won't have you waiting too long .
