Sat bored on a monday night , I came across a twitter party for beauty product lovers like myself. #Fuschiaparty is held on a monday night and is help by Fuschia Make-up at 10pm up untill 11pm. The last time I joined in (I missed the last one as I was celebrating my 2nd wedding anniversary), I typed in #Fuschiaparty into the search bar , chose the option of all tweets and started to chat and reply to all the people joining in the chat. It seemed very friendly and I got to know a few other people who had the same interests as myself. At the end of the party , my name was drawn as a winner of a goody bag. I was very excited as I had not tried their products before and I was very interested to see how they would work on my skin. Last week the goody bag arrived and I received 5 small samples of their products (I have to admit when they said a huge goody bag I was expecting at least full sizes so was a little disappointed) but never the less it was still free and I was happy to give them a try ). I wanted to show you 2 of the products which I loved . ''The Eye dust'' I received to of the eye dusts in shades Turquise and Bliss. The Fuschia eye dusts can be bought from Fuschia.ie Eye dust costs - £10.95 full size and is available in 15 shades . Mine are only samples so the packaging is a little different. Fuschia make-up eye dust is a loose pigment and if you love pigments you are going to love these. For me pigments are fantastic for using for bold shadow looks, a subtle shimmer , eyeliners or even body art if your feeling experimental or creative. I simple like using pigments (especially golds and silvers) as highlighters for the centre of my eyelid to brighten up my eye and give them a little pop of sparkle. Above is the Bliss shade which for me is my most loved eye dust from the two. I would wear this daily as I love the nude shade , just wish it was a bigger tub. Above is the Turquise shade, This is absolutely stunning and although I can not find myself wearing this bold and bright tone at the moment , I do love this lightly (very lightly) brushed over the lid to add a bit of colour to my lids , the shimmer in them both are amazing. I love an eye dust that shimmers like this . It has the most stunning effect once caught by the sun light. I tried them both with and with out primer . For me I like a subtle shade on the lid so I would use them without but I would use primer for the liner to add depth to the eye shape. Over the autumn days I am definitely loving using the bliss for a more natural liner of the eye look but I know in summer the turquise is going to make my blue eyes pop beautifully . I have seen that they have a stunning shade called violet storm which is a gorgeous plum purple and I am very much tempted to add it to my wishlist for my birthday as I can see it being the shade this season (also my favourite colour). As you can see from the picture above, the Turquise and Bliss certainly look a lot bolder with primer and the shimmer enhances , the more you add the more it sparkles .
You need to have a good hand to use these eye dusts , I use the tiniest of amounts which gives a stunning shimmer to the eyebrow bone which white gold or white sparkle would look fabulous for lifting and neatening the brow area. Have you tried This brand, will you be giving it a go ? Let me know .

Very excited to show you my new , most loved September Lip colour. As we bid farewell to summer , I feel I should share with you one last piece that has been one of my favourites . L'EXTRAORDINAIRE BY COLOuR RICHE in rose symphony When I first seen this , the brand L'Oreal described it Colour intensity of a lipstick, magnifying shine of gloss, softness of a balm. For me a pink gloss is something I wear when I do not want a bold colour on my lips, sometimes just a tint is all I desire for a walk to the shops or picking up the children form school and so this sounded perfect. What they say about the lip colour- New L'Extraordinaire by Color Riche is our extraordinary new lip colour from L'Oréal Paris for high shine and intense colour. Thanks to luxurious micro-oils infused with rich pigments, you can enjoy lip perfection in 3 dimensions:
Our combination of carefully blended luxurious micro-oils infused with rich pigments. We replaced the waxes with oils for an incredible shine and softness. L'Extraordinaire is formulated with oils to catch the light for magnified colour. Enriched with lotus flower, argan, camelia seed and rose canina fruit oils, the formula gives a nourishing care feeling and a super soft finish. Being a fan of the L'Oreal colour Riche lipsticks , I knew this would be a dreamy must have, and just like the lipsticks it was most definitely bold and beautiful. I love that this is somewhere in the middle of being a lipstick or gloss , sometimes we wake up and just cant decide but now we can have both with just one sweep of it on our lips. Combining both oils and pigments truly does give this lip colour an intensity yet smoothness. The texture is smooth and creamy and most definitely long lasting . Even when the colour has gone from my lips after an evening face wash, there is still a slight stain on my lips . This shade of lip colour ''Rose Symphony'' is a beautiful pink based coral . On using the lip colour , I find it has a aroma of zesty fruit which is sweet and appealing to me , rather very nice for a lip product , I think there is only the vanilla scent from MAC I have found to like so far. The bendable heart shaped like wand is so soft and fluffy which makes it all the more pleasing to add on my lips , I barely feel anything apart from the silky lip colour it self .
I am loving the product but not overly joyed about the packaging , the gold looks luxurious for a drug store product but still gives of a slight cheapish feel to it . I would love to try this in the other shades for sure and can see a collection building . The L’Oréal L’Extraordinaire Liquid Lipstick by Color Riche can be bought for only £8.99 from Boots.com and is available in 9 shades . My love of Benefit started when I got my first ever brow kit, I absolutely fell in love with it and unfortunately my son the other year ruined it by smearing it all over his bedroom, I was absolutely distraught but to this day it has to be the only brow product I have truly missed and hope one day to treat myself to again. This has to be one of my most loved shadow kits from Benefit at the moment too. For me I love nothing more than the glamorous nudes that I wear daily . Golden shades of brown, taupes , silver and golden tones are my must have shades and when I see something like this it makes me a little excited to say the least. N° 07113/A There is not one colour in this kit that I dislike, I love them all. Simply every single shade is what I would use in my daily makeup routine. The longwear powders have that lovely tone , the 2, call my bluff and kiss me i'm tipsy are slightly shimmery but more leaning to matte whilst the other two it's complicated and gilt-y pleasure are very shimmery. The creaseless cream shadows both my two cents and birthday suit are both shimmery shades of gold and silver based brownish tones. All of the longwear powders do seem to have a lot of fall out but using is lightly and carefully will ensure it lasts longer and you only need a small amount to get the desired effect and coverage. If you do not like your shimmers, I would not buy this but for me I love a shimmer tone on the centre of my lid to brighten my eyes a little so it is perfect . I love how the kit is presented like a little book . I have a respect of the vintage style cover which shows an exotic beauty with the damask faint backing pattern. I love damask patterns, even had my sitting room walls decor as damask and since then fell in love . It is quite adorable and I love the idea of the box of neutrals . The little box has a magnetic closing which is always welcome for security. I have to say there are three shades I would wear regular for my desired natural daily wear from this kit -
The longwear shadows are very pigmented and I love the less matte ones more than the shimmer ones but they do last on the skin for a full day . Surprisingly the creaseless shadows for me never actually stay creaseless but in fact these did. I kept checking to see if I had that horrid crease line during the day and was pleasently suprised at how well the shadows stayed . They feel like a cream on application but dry like a powder once set . Lovely silky feeling to it I must admit. So my conclusion for this kit is that if you love your neutrals or even looking for something to give you a natural look , then buy this . It will last you a long time and although it is priced at £23.50 ( a little less than the Naked palettes which I also adore), it is a lovely little kit to have . I will certainly be looking into checking out a differnt Benefit book style kit to match this such as the Easiest nudes. What Benefit products have you been trying lately, let me know ?
I was so excited to get this stunning limited edition piece from MAC . The MAC Pink Buttercream Pearlmatte Face Powder is something I have tried so hard to get but being a limited edition and very rarely popping up with new collections every now and again it was beginning to become difficult. Selfridges were selling this but once again it is totally sold out and I can imagine it being sold out for a while once again and it is not hard to see why . What do MAC say about their product- Pearlized and satin shades of Face Powder blend effortlessly to achieve an array of looks with a rich texture and velvet finish. Use for highlighting and blush effects. Baking Beauties flower and leaf design are stamped into the powder. Limited edition. Ingredients- What I have to say about it- Packaging- Ok , so we all know that MAC products have the same packaging with the majority of their products , plain, black with the bold white MAC marking , it does not seem that fantastic considering they are one of the beauty industries most loved brand. The fact that they put little effort into the packaging designs but the very best quality into their products is what I actually like about MAC. The fact that this face powder has a beautiful floral design within the product itself is lovely. I have had issues with using similar powders where the print has disappeared or smeared on one or few uses but this (as you can see in the close up picture below) has been used a lot and still holds its elegant design well. The thing I do love about MAC product packaging is that the case of the face powder contains that fabulous clicking noise when you close the product . Its a great security issue I have with my products knowing they are closed properly and are not going to be damaged or get bacteria inside. Click, Click, Click,,,,,,,,,,,, The powder is absolutely stunning with its cupcake pastel shades and is to be used as a complexion enhancer, like a powder, luminizer and blush all in one. This is very sheer and for me is a beautiful cheekbone enhancer. The shades that come through when using this is a pinkish pearl shade, not overpowering in pink but with the white tone which is fantastic for highlighting those areas . This is most definitely a powder for very fair or ivory skin tones . I absolutely love the pearlescent finish . It is amazingly smooth to apply and also soft feeling on the skin but I do notice slight emphasize in pores . This powder leaves a stunning radiance look to my face and will most certainly be making it's way into romantic weekend away in just over a weeks time. I find I am not needing to cover the brush with heaps of product, instead the smallest amount leaves a more natural glow with better effect, the more you apply, the more it seems to look caked onto the skin which is not a pretty sight . Being my first MAC face powder it has left me very impressed and I am now looking to growing my collection from MAC lipsticks to their powders like these too now . The quality is amazing and I can tell this is most definitely worth the money as it is going to last a very long time . I do think this should be brought out as a FOREVER MAC product and hope it is seen on the shelves again soon as I will be very tempted to grab more incase it is quickly removed from sale again. Have you tried this, what do you think?
As you can see it seems to have been a little of a MAC theme this week , and I am not complaining in the slightest, I love MAC , especially when it comes to their lip products. I know I have started collecting lipsticks from their collection but I have come across their lipglass too now after getting this beauty in the post last week. To be honest in all the excitement of the lipsticks I forgot about this as lipglass is something I usually wear for my special occasions out with family or husband only , or even on a hot summer day which for me there's been neither of but nether the less it only lasted in my stand for less than a week before it was dying to attach itself to my lips. I am not much a fan of lipgloss or lipglass as MAC say, it all seems very messy and does not stay evenly for long on my lips at all lol, but it is fun and I love it for a quick shimmering smile. I hate that I have a tendency to fight my hair on a breezy day blowing into the lipgloss and my claw like manoeuvre and scary looking wide mouth expression as I try not to wipe the gloss across my face in the process. It all seems a nightmare so lipgloss is most definitely for me only when my hair is tied back up out of my face. For some reason my camera was not playing nice today, I have no idea why , but never the less it did show you how fabulous the creamy mix was in the tube, you can see the separation of colours which is what made me excited to try this when I seen it. MAC Saint Germain Lipglass can be bought from - MAC Cosmetics online Cost - £14.50 Saint Germain Lipglass is a milky cool-toned pink. The lipglass is semi-opaque, but there is a problem as it applies quite unevenly and it also settles into every crease and crevice quite a bit. The best way to wear this is with a more opaque lipstick underneath as I feel wearing it on its own does not do it justice . The shade remind me of that bubblegum pink colour and I absolutely love it , I definitely think the Saint Germain lipstick is to be added to the wish list next . You know just to have it added to the collection. This lipglass is most certainly a gloss , very shiny and sticky like a gloss should be , but I would definitely say this is not overly sticky , more creamy in my opinion and I prefer that . It feels amazing on the lips, I feel my lips are been nourished as I swipe it across my lips , it is almost addictive to me , especially with that fabulous vanilla scent . I am loving the shade , maybe a little too bright and young looking for me , but it certainly will get used for those bright summer days especially .
What do you think of Saint Germain, will you give it a go or not? |
