Yes , I'm back today to show you yet another Nail Art Nail post. The Brand that I have been using for my nail art lately are fantastic in their various styles and designs and I have always used their stickers previously but this time I thought I would share with you their transfers. Transfers to me have always been tricky , you have to soak them onto the nail and sometimes they crack or tear easily , not only that but sometimes the whole of the transfer does not actually transfer onto the nail leaving only half of the design to admire . Charlies Nail Art Transfers are applied differently to what I have been used to which intrigued me to give them a try and I received the Santa's Sleigh Transfers . Cost - £1 Amount - 20 transfers = 1 sheet How to apply -
Where to buy- Charliesnailart.co.uk My thoughts on the Charlies Nail Art Transfers-
I was honestly expecting the transfers to be a lot like those children's tattoos in the respect that I would have to attach them to my nail then soak them on . Luckily for me , they were not , I was never great at keeping still with a steady hand and I often found myself smudging them in previous attempts. Because the design is on one side unlike usual transfers , it meant that I had no other choice but peel it away from the sheet so that when it was applied to the nail you could see the sparkle and perfect design . I followed the instructions and then when it came to having to soak the transfer I started panicking thinking it would stick to my finger on peeling it off , or roll up and spoil , but on my first attempt at it , I found it very easy and the transfer slid of the sheet very easily with no worry at all. I placed the transfer in my desired place on the nail and then applied a top coat to secure. In all honesty , I expected the transfer to be very thin like , thinner than the stickers I had previously tried with them , but in fact they were slightly thicker and I do think that this is noticeable on the picture as you can see the edge of the transfer at the tip of the nail . I think my knowing this now, will make me place the transfer closer to the tip next time so it is not so visible . The transfers have lasted on the nail a lot longer than the sticker , I am not sure why , maybe it is because they are thicker. The design did not fade and kept its sparkle and detail for a week until I removed them from the nail with nail polish remover and it was not hard to remove either. I absolutely love the transfers, a lot more easier than I originally thought they would be and an absolute bargain , meaning you can afford to buy a couple of different designs . So what do you think about the transfers , will you be giving them a try? Let me know what you think and if you decide to try any of their other designs, I would love for you to send me some pictures.

OK , I am back and this time I am all hyped up over the man in his big red suit coming soon. Yes Christmas is only 4 weeks away and already I am feeling the need to add some festive cheer to my nails. So what better way to add some festive cheer than by adding some Sparkling Hello Kitty Nail stickers . Do not deny the fact that although you may be in your late 20's or 30'2 , you actually love her more than your children , I know I am not afraid to say so . Here is a sneak peak - Glitter Hello Kitty Xmas Nail Stickers. Cost - £1.00 Where to buy - Charliesnailart.co.uk Amount - 30 Stickers How to apply -
My thoughts on the Charlies Nail Art Glitter Hello Kitty Stickers- I have to begin by admitting that I absolutely hate nail stickers. My past experiences with them have left me peeling them of within an hour due to them being too thick and sticking up or peeling at the edges. They simply looked fake and ridiculous and were not the effect I desired on my nail . I was to be very surprised after applying Charlies Nail Art Stickers. They were fantastic quality and I actually did not need to apply a top coat because they stuck to my nail very well . As well as their strength on the nail , Glitter Hello Kitty stickers seemed almost half the usual thickness of a regular nail sticker so I also had no intentions of peeling them away . As you can see the finishing effect is absolutely adorable .
I am so impressed with the quality especially as Charlies Nail art products are so affordable . You really should check them out and give them a try, you would be mad not to . Why I am reviewing this product? Last week I was asked to give the Charlesnailart.co.uk Nail stickers a try and of course I was happy to , especially when they sent me a link to the cute little Tiger cub faces that seemed camouflaged into the tiger stripes on the stickers, Adorable. Now since they have contacted me , I have had a little peak around the site and have to say they are very affordable , most items being £1 and under such as stickers, gems , polishes. They also supply bundles which price at a little higher but still affordable. For me Nail stickers seem to be something of the past but on occasions such as Christmas , Easter, Halloween. The smaller girls in our family seem to enjoy the easiness of them and I even find myself divulging into them if I find them as cute as these are. Nail stickers used to be a nightmare, maybe I just never knew how to properly apply them to the nail and keep them secure but I feel the fact was mostly down to the thickness of the sticker or transfer and they always seemed to look fake and not painted on which is the effect I was actually heading towards . Well the 90's has since disappeared and these days the nail art industry has grown immensely with some amazing items to make that bitten down plain nail look like you have just stepped out the salon or from a red carpet although I am still learning myself how to do that in the comfort of my own home with numerous pieces of kits and that includes items like these and gems, glitters and transfers. Yes I am a huge fan of nail art, I have tried and tried to draw some amazing pictures onto my nail but I simply have neither the time nor the artistic streak in me to achieve something which I seem happy with and this is where nail stickers come to my rescue. The product information you need to know . TIGER PRINT NAIL STICKERS Cost - £1.00 - 24 stickers of various styles. Description - Tiger nail art stickers to use simply peel and stick to nails. How to Apply -
If you wish to try a different item check out the similar item such as the Leopard or Monochrome Butterfly also priced at £1.00 My thoughts on the Charles Nail Art Stickers - I have to be blunt in the fact that these stickers were rather difficult to remove from the sheet. I had to carefully use a pair of tweezers to lift a corner then carefully peel it away . The Nail Sticker is not as thick as I thought , more like a transfer to be honest , very wafer thin like which is something I absolutely love about this product, but there is no need for worrying if the sticker will snap as they are rather strong which enabled me to apply them to the nail. There are many different designs within the sheet to choose from and I have tried to use one of each on my nails to show you. For me I have always found that stickers for nails never seem to be great at sticking but these have a great glue on the back of them which secures them . Using a top coat makes the finish look smoother but there is no need for it really although I do prefer a top coat on my nails. This bargain buy nail art sticker sheet is ideal for someone who loves to add that extra creativeness to the nail with no fuss or mess without the high price tag. Just look at the adorable design , an there are many more to choose from . What are your opinions on nail art stickers, prefer to use them or are you more creative with a brush ?
I felt like having a new Polish on my nails today and with the endless amount adding to my ''Never used yet pile'', I am finding it harder to choose one especially when I wake up in a mood of not knowing exactly what I want today. I think the past few months have been mainly purples, reds and neutrals so pulling this one out is not surprising to me but I do feel a little let down with my choices , why purple? Maybe it has something to do with it being around the time of my wedding anniversary celebrations and so I feel obliged to wear our wedding theme shade . Anyway, The polish I thought I would give a try today is this one - This is the Maybelline SUPER STAY GEL NAIL COLOUR in shade Surreal. I have to admit I think this is the only one of the polishes from this collection that I actually own but no surprise it has to be the purple shade I have . Boots have a vast range of 46 shades available and they are priced at £4.49 which if your into your high end polishes is only half the price and a bargain polish. At the moment you can even take advantage of the 3 for 2 sale so you can grab a freebie. What they say about the product- Maybelline Forever Strong Professional Nail Varnish combines all the qualities of a profess
My thoughts- Having tried a few Gel Polishes , I have began to realise that they take a little longer to dry which for me is a little of a pain due to the fact I never get a minute to sit and pamper myself so I tend to have to be patient. I should really make my nail polish dryer available at all times but unfortunately two of them are shoved on top of my wardrobes in boxes and rarely find their way out on display. The polish is easy to apply , the thick brush gives you a thick coating to apply and helps to give it the smooth look you would expect form a gel look finish. The polish I self is creamy and opaque and I have to admit it took 3 coats to get the perfect coverage . With the many brands and collections of polish I have tried, the polish usually takes 24 hours only before it chips to that point I get that undying urge to start picking at it and that is it. This polish does have fantastic staying power its my 3rd day now and it is doing well with no chips , I think it may last another two at maximum . It says on the instructions to keep adding a daily dose of top coat, but for me I forget and have a feeling that is what is keeping the polish on not the polish formula itself . The surreal shade is fantastic , a blue undertoned purple which looks quite light in the bottle but dries a little darker on the nail .
The finish is a gloss finish but not as high gloss as some I have tried although you can clearly see the shine here, it is a lovely shade and I think you will agree it would be perfect for a Halloween shade this year to. Have you tried this polish yet, maybe a different shade? Let me know what you think. I have t admit I am getting quite good at painting my nails and not my cuticles or fingers lol although not perfect still. There are times though when I do tend to slip or especially when I am using my hand that is not my main hand for using things and oops,,,,,,its made a mess. I sit there shouting at my self like a mad woman. I know you do to, we all do !. Well Ii came across one of the Corrector pens which I had not yet tried till this week and I have to admit IT ACTUALLY WORKS. In the past I have bought corrector pens and they were chunky and awkward, if anything lasted me one or two times and had to be thrown in the bin. Barry M have now got their nail corrector pen and I have to say I am impressed at how well it worked. I obviously did not make this much mess on my finger when applying the polish (of course also Barry M in Gelly shade Almond) but thought it would give you a clearer vision of how clean it resulted in after using the pen. The nib (polish remover end) is a slanted nib so it gives you the precision you need without fear your going to take of more than just the polish on your finger. I did leave the polish on my skin to soak in a little before attempting to remove it with the corrector pen and it did not take longer than a minute to remove. I did not need to apply pressure or scrub it , it basically needed a good wipe with the polish removing nib and it came off easily. You receive three nibs, one already attached and two for spares which is great especially when you paint your nails often like myself.
The thing I love about this is that it is easy to take with you in your bag out and about. I have on many occasions decided sitting in the passenger seat of a car was suitable to apply my polish on the way to an event or place and made a mistake when the husband has turned a corner or breaked and this little pen is great to take with me now for correcting those mistakes. You can buy these pens from Barry M for only £4.99 Will you be giving it a go ? |
